Only yesterday, someone was telling me on Facebook "I've searched and networked and marketed heavily with people in my trade and it's happening to tradespeople who have been in trades all their life...." - A clear case of Banarama Syndrome.
Most business owners don't take any time to REALLY think about the nuts and bolts of their marketing. They pedal out the same stuff again and again without considering;
"Am I sending the RIGHT stuff out to the RIGHT people in the RIGHT way and at the RIGHT time"
Their communication gets caught up in the noise and clutter and they then conclude, wrongly, that 'marketing doesn't work'.
That's Bananarama Syndrome - when you do the right things but not in the right way - so the results you get isn't the one you were seeking to achieve.
