Just a reminder that next Thursday at the Fairfield Halls is a date for business diaries throughout Croydon - the We Mean Business Exhibition, organised by the Federation of Small Businesses.

And don't forget that the team from TheBestOf Croydon will be setting up camp at Stand 64, so pop along to meet us.

The We Mean Business Exhibition is hosting over 80 stands, and will also be running seminars and networking events throughout the day.

The exhibition has been organised as a pro-active response to The Big R, and is geared towards practical solutions and actions that can help small businesses ride out the recession. There will be an upturn one day, and business owners need to know they'll still be standing on the poop deck to welcome the new dawn.

Everyone involved in the We Mean Business Exhibition hopes to provide inspiration, optimism and "really helpful advice".

"The event will be opened by Steve O’Connell and will also feature a networking breakfast and lunch together with an after show networking dinner.

Seminars cover subjects such as ‘marketing on a budget’, ‘sources of finance’, ‘growing your business – no matter the economic outlook’ and how to save money by making your business more waste and energy efficient. All good stuff and vital to help any business develop and grow in the coming months.

Entry to We Mean Business is totally free and open to all businesses, businessmen and woman, entrepreneurs and budding entrepreneurs in the Croydon area and the south east of England. There will be free prize draws throughout the day and the first 100 visitors will get a complimentary ‘goody bag’." (extract from We Mean Business press release)

So book time out in your diary, get along to the Fairfield Halls next Thursday 1st October, and have a productive and legitimate skive that may just help your business.

Visit the website for further information on events at the We Mean Business Exhibition, a list of attending businesses, and details of how you can participate.

Yours, Katrina
