A high tech shopping centre isn't necessarily the first place you'd head for if you were looking for a zoo - but Centrale in Croydon has got just that this Easter!
This weekend you can find something different, fun and educational for the children - a Petting Zoo - where they can meet a variety of animals; some familiar, some a little more exotic.
In keeping with the Easter seasonal theme, they can say hi to baby chicks and rabbits, cute fluffy little creatures that we all ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ at. And however sexist, I think it is true – your boys are definitely going to love the giant millipedes (me, I'll stay by the chicks thanks). From giant millipedes to African pygmy hedgehogs, housed in the Central Atrium, this unusual zoo promises to be a seasonal and educational treat.
And while you're at the Centre, keep an eye out for Build-a-Bear's Easter Bunny, who will be hopping round handing out vouchers to spend in store on your very own personalised friend.

And mums, that mid-week shopping you need to take care of... it's all in hand! From Tuesday 3rd April and every Tuesday thereafter, you can take the children to enjoy tales read from a storyteller in the Lower Mall Storylounge between 11am and 1pm.
