Local Mum starts support group for Croydon Mums in Business
New group created to support mumpreneurs based in Croydon
Croydon Mum, Isa Maria Seminega has founded Croydon Mums in Business, a support group for mumpreneurs, after struggling to find a suitable group in the borough she could attend.
Launching at Croydon’s Central Library on February 7th , Croydon Mums in Business is for local Mums who are either thinking of starting a business or already have.
“Through the group I offer the opportunity to connect with other likeminded mums, share business advice, motivate and inspire one another. So many Mums are taking the leap into starting their own business and I think it is essential that we support each other in any way we can”.
Talking of her reason for starting the group, the Mum of two said “Croydon has some great schemes for entrepreneurs including Croydon Enterprise but I was unable to attend any of the events as I was taking care of my young children. I had the idea to start my own group as I realised there must be other Croydon Mums out there in the same situation. This way I could hold the events in child friendly venues and offer advice specific to Mums.
My business operates primarily online so I wanted the opportunity to get out and meet other mums in the area who would understand what I am going through trying to juggle children, housework and my own business. I also provide small business workshops and I look forward to being able to share my knowledge with other Mums.”
