The summer is coming, it must be festival time and this year you're in for a real treat. Purley festival will provide you with heaps of activities during the week throughout Purley including historical tours, live music and dance workshops (25-29 June).
But the fun doesn’t stop there, the festival week will end with a FREE extravaganza in the rotary field, Brighton Rd on Saturday 30th June & Sunday 1st July where there will be live music from the Brit School, S.I.N.G Purley, The Glass Child and many more, dance, food, fun for the children in a special children’s area sponsored by Power O Shea, a crèche kindly manned by Purley Nursery and lots of great stalls ran by local businesses.
Last year was a raving success with over 2000 People coming to the final Saturday and many events we're enjoyed throughout the town. This year it promises to be bigger and better!
The festival is run by a team of local volunteers; all of the money for the festival has been raised by sponsorship and love from the local community. Purley Festival really is a festival for the people by the people!
If you want to showcase your business there is still time to get involved, the Advertiser have very kindly given us this column to keep you updated so please check in each week to find out what we have in store for you!
