We were delighted to hear that Surrey Street market has returned to its rightful home this week after a couple of months placement up in Croydon's North End.
Surrey Street market has run from its historical home for over 700 years and in March it was moved temporarily to North End while a resurfacing project took place.
I've always loved wandering round Surrey Street Market. Not only is it a sentimental place to be, somewhere you can take in the sights and smells of traditional market life, but you're always guaranteed to find something there too!
I love the fresh fruit and veg there. It's the perfect place to pick up seasonal produce that's super fresh and super tasty.
The move back to Surrey Street has caused some controversy with some traders believing that trade up at North End was better with a higher foot fall and therefore increased profits. Some traders have suggested that a permanent move to North End would be very appealing...
Who knows what will happen in the future but for now, welcome back to Surrey Street!
