Snappy straplines apart, as it is now November 2nd I hereby end my self-imposed ban on anything Christmassy before the end of October and can now begin a quiet countdown in my head.
This countdown will of course vary from excitement to mild dread, depending on how well any preparations are going.
Speaking of preparation, The Croydon Business Improvement District has set its elves feverishly printing and designing, and is getting ready to launch Croydon's Christmas Festival 2009.
From the switching on of Croydon's town centre lights on Thursday 19th November, Croydon looks set to enjoy a great build up to Christmas this year. There will be events and festivities running throughout the borough in November and December.
Keep your eye on our Croydon Events Page over the next few weeks for more details of events in your area.
Also check out www.croydonchristmasfestival.com now for info on the Christmas Lights Switch On, and a taster of Michelle Collins in the musical Never Forget at The Fairfield Halls this festive season.
This website will have full Croydon Christmas Festival details from 16th November, including information on how to enter two fantastic free competitions to celebrate the Croydon Visitors Centre's 1st birthday.
We haven't even got Bonfire night out the way, and I'm already looking forward to this...
