Work by the Waterways Trust continues on the Droitwich Canals project.
Local school children have been telling a professional artist how they would like the new play area at the Gateway Park to look. The new Gateway Park is due for completion in the next few months and will be open to the public later in the summer.
This latest phase of the restoration project will encourage more people to use the restored canals - it will be a place to walk, fish, cycle, boat and relax. The new towpath will link onto the Birmingham & Worcester Canal encouraging more visitors into the town.
The restoration of the Droitwich Canals will establish new wildlife habitats (part of the work involves creating new ponds) and preserve 40 heritage structures.
