The Daily Mail today claims that it is a national disgrace that a quarter of a million patients are addicted to pain killers. Thay say that painkillers have been widely distributed without any warnings about the dangers, and too many patients have become hooked. They further state that support for these addicts is poor compared to those addicted to recreational and hard drugs.
