Behind the scenes organisers are working hard towards making Hanwell Carnival, which will take place on Saturday 15th June in Elthorne Park, even bigger and better than 2012.
Firm favourites such as the procession, dog show and funfair are back and there will also be new attractions including a petting zoo and talent show. In addition music and dance groups will perform and a range of stalls with gifts, food etc. will be dotted around the park.
The carnival is a free event, run entirely by volunteers for the community and many stalls in the park will be run by charities who also take part in the procession along with schoolchildren, community organisations and sport clubs.
The theme for 2013 carnival is Back to Nature. The procession leaves Hanwell Community Centre just after 11am. It finishes at Elthorne Park where the party will continue from 12pm until 6pm.
