Gambling Addiction During Lockdown

Lancet Public Health tells us that research has been done at Sheffield University on gambling habits during enfoced stays at home. They found that 300, 000 people are adddicted to gambling, and that more and more are becoming addicted to online gambling in isolation.

 Dr. Linndsay Blank, of Sheffield University School of Health and Related Research, says that health authorities should take gambling as seriously as they take alcoholism and smoking - and direct resources to them accordingly - since much of the apparent help is inadequate to stop the growing addiction rates.
