When Christmas is over, it is always a bit flattening to see your bare Christmas tree looking rather lonely in the corner without any decorations to keep him company.
This year, your Christmas tree does not have to go to waste. For the first time, you will be able to leave your Christmas tree out with your normal weekly garden waste recycling collection and a brand new council service will take them away.
It must be noted that trees exceeding 6ft in height must be cut in half before being left out on your normal collection day.
There will also be a number of parks and open spaces where you can put your tree for recycling throughout the borough.
So, go green and recycle your Christmas tree this year!
