Smoking and In Vitro Fertilisation
Effective Hypnosis can announce that we helped someone have a baby. We had a rather desperate call from a lady who said that she would have to be free of smoking for six months in order to have IVF treatment.
Looking into it, we found that smoking is thought to cause blockages in the fallopian tube ( inhibititing proper ovulation ) damage eggs as they develop in the ovaries, and lead to a higher chance of miscarriage.
Male reprodution is damaged too -with smokers having lower sperm count, and difficulties in sperm motility (the ability to get to the eggs ). Smoking can even cause erectile dysfunction.
Giving up smoking can lead to a great imrovement in chances if you are trying for a baby.
