“Welcome to Ealing’s best kept secret” was the way one session of the Chortle Comedy Book Festival started last weekend.
With some leading names in the world of comedy on the bill, good local venues and a thriving comedy festival each summer it was a shame the audience was so small given this is the home of Ealing Comedies.
The inaugural Comedy Book Festival continues with Marcel Lucont and Ian Moore on the bill at The New Inn and Simon Singh at UWL on Thursday night and Count Arthur Strong and Johnny Vegas finishing the festival at Ealing Town Hall on Friday 29th December. Tickets are still available for all these shows http://www.wegottickets.com/chortlecomedybookfestival
Hint: take some cash if you want to buy any of the books these sessions relate to.
