Public Health England (PHE) have today launched a campaign using children to get the stop smoking message across to adults.
Heart disease caused by smoking kills 45 people in Britain every day, contributing to 78,000 deaths caused by smoking every year. Quitting smoking has been promoted as the single best protection against cardiovascular disease.
Advertising for the new campaign has involved using children's artwork, on what is now plain packaging, and video featuring primary school children making their statements on smoking.
It is hoped that this will have a real impact on the seven million smokers that PHE is targeting.
