The Questors Theater in Ealing is to become one of London’s Ecovenues.
In a recent announcement by The Theatres Trust, the West London theatre has been included in the very few venues selected to the Ecovenue scheme, which is designed to make a real difference to the environmental performance of London theatres, with participating theatres leading the way in promoting the reduction of carbon emissions.
As a result of its selection, The Questors Theatre will receive an energy assessment and specialist assistant in monitoring energy, water use, waste diversion and procurement.
The Executive Director of the Ealing theatre, Andrea Bath, stated “This is a fantastic recognition of our commitment to reducing our own theatre’s environmental impact. We’re just starting a major project to refurbish our buildings, and we’re working hard to achieve our target of reducing our carbon emissions by 60% over the next 15 years.
