This Tuesday, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day. This year the focus is Mental Health in The Workplace. Mind, the Mental Health charity, have some suggestions for both employees and workers on their website - including something as simple as reclaiming your lunchbreak.
Employees and managers who put workplace initiatives to promote mental health see gains in health and productivity. However, a negative workplace environment may lead to both physical and mental health problems, harmful use of substances or alcohol, absenteeism and lost productivity.
The Light Up Purple campaign is urging people to wear purple wristbands on Tuesday to promote World Mental Health Day.
