one of the best in the uk for all varieties. always something to do around the show grounds, town itself and around the local area, more then enough places to stay while helping the local economy and 4 days of full flying variety. a truly international airshow

Airbourne - as a resident, it is one of the defining moments of summer in the town. I know it’s not particularly ‘green’ but heritage is something we must salute and remember. I’d imagine it takes a fair amount of energy to build a new plane today, so making use of the old ones, and celebrating the current ones is far greener than showing new boats on the water every season… it’s something I’m happy to live with. I have a son and daughter in their twenties, he wasn’t able to make it this year and has regretted it, my daughter and her boyfriend attended two of the days and enjoyed it immensely! They used to watch as children and loved it (although the Harrier was a tad too scary for them when it dipped it’s nose to them on the beach, and yes, we miss the Harrier and Vulcan).
It really is a big part of Eastbourne and, in my view, should remain. Even in these trying times…

I was lucky enough to see part of Friday's display from the South Downs, and most of Saturday's displays from the sealant. What a fabulous show it was! I'm sure it provides a big boost to Eastbourne businesses as well as being a wonderful spectacle for those lucky enough to see it. I'm already looking forward to Airborne 2023.

I went to Airborne on the Saturday this year. I have never seen so many people on Eastbourne seafront in my time here living in Polegate. The atmosphere was tremendous , no trouble as far as I saw. Sat on the beach with a picnic. Talking to lots of people and generally having a terrific time. I enjoyed it this year more than any other.

My first year living in Eastbourne and first attending an airshow. Really enjoyed it including the red arrows flying over my house. Family stayed over to come to the show and we had a great day out. Marked down as I feel the provision for disabled people could be improved so people can book spaces in advance and limited to 1 or 2 days only so others can get spaces.

We loved the aircraft displays and would love to see it return to Eastbourne as it brought a lot of visitors to the area. We felt that the local businesses should have been supplying entertainment, food and beverages and not outside businesses, this would then keep the money in Eastbourne for future local developments. We also felt the prices being charged were overpriced.

Airbourne gets better and better! What an amazing show! So well organised, with something for everyone. Despite the huge crowds, the atmosphere was friendly and enthusiastic. I was lucky enough to be in the Aviator Club enjoying the hospitality and being on the front line for the displays. Well done to all those involved!

It was so wonderful to see Eastbourne’s Airbourne return, following the pandemic. Thanks to The Rotarians, the local Charity I work with, Children With Cancer Fund, were lucky enough to be Sovereign Harbours’s Rotary Club “Charity of the Year”. This will be an enormous boost to our awareness and provide much needed funds for our families. We were based on the Western Lawns and saw for ourselves how joyous this event is for local residents and holiday makers alike. The air displays were awesome and no one tires of seeing The Red Arrows. It is huge event to put on, but brings much needed revenue to the Town. Thank you to the Eastbourne Council events team, Hoteliers, all the litter collectors and people who make this the Towns best annual event. Helen

We went to Airborne on Friday and apart from some cloud, which prevented the parachute display from taking place we had a fantastic time. The displays were brilliant and the buzz around the seafront was brilliant. We went back on Sunday to watch the fireworks finale and these were terrific as well. I know the weather was very kind this year, but al in all a super day.

Loved Airbourne this year. My husband & I arranged to meet up with my cousin (a pilot) from Brighton, I haven’t seen for 12 years. We arrived at 12noon, watched the amazing air show. The red arrows were brilliant. Saw all the stalls. Took loads of photos. Had Pimms, lunch at Pierre’s, coffees, fish and chips in a local restaurant and watched the fireworks on the beach before coming home at 9.30pm. Nearly 10 hours out, not bad for pensioners! We moved to Eastbourne 2 mths ago. Loving Eastbourne and the air show. ❤️

Another fantastic Airbourne. Great displays and everywhere packed. A golden feather in Eastbourne's cap. Well done the EBC team and everyone involved.

The smell of aviation fuel, plus the noise, makes this a miserable 4 days for most of us. Many neighbours, friends & family agree. But the most often repeated complaint is the waste of our taxes. It's so expensive, & only a few nearby businesses & hotels benefit, not the thousands of residents that suffer the stench & noise every year. There are so many good things you could do with that much money.

Absolutely love Airbourne, The Eastbourne international Airshow.
Lots to do if you want to and if you don’t, you can spend time on the beach, waiting for the planes.
There is something for everyone.
The only downside this year was the rail strike which meant more cars.

Always look forward to Airborne every year, the high light of all the events held in the Eastbourne calendar, Great 4 day event, suitable for all the family young or old, also attracts loads of business for all the local shops restaurants and hotels etc. Worth every penny

Airborne this year was superb. I was actually effervescing with excitement on the first day! We absolutely loved the chinook with the blades and then were treated to the typhoon with spitfire. We love how much Eastbourne do to keep the event green, with all traders using compostable packaging and there were refill water stations all around too. It was supremely clean, with a fabulous team emptying bins, cleaning and stocking toilets continually. We felt safe and enjoyed the numerous attractions too. Well done to the airborne organisers.

We had an excellent time during Airboure this year. As a resident of Meads with a child we used to go down every year and sit on the beach to watch the planes, people and fireworks. When she became a teenager it was classed as 'boring' so we didn't go down to watch and this sadly became a habit. So we finally decided to go down again and what a great time we had! Thoroughly enjoyable. We had drinks in the cafe down on the lower parade below the Cavendish but no other purchases were made and we made a donation in the bucket although for what they were collecting for we had to ask. More visually prominent collectors with larger Airbourne adverts on their attire would have been better. We at no point anywhere from Meads and the pier did we encounter a programme seller. It was so good to see so many attractions and stalls however and the excitement of the crowd was palpable.

Wow! Fantastic and free!! It was superb from start to finish. Only criticism was it was a long walk to pick up the daily timetable. We were staying to the left of the pier looking out to sea and had to walk to the pier area every day. It would have been handy if they'd had someone down that end of the beach with programmes and daily timetables as it was packed out down that end too
The show itself though was fabulous. We watched from our balcony and were glued to the sky! Can't believe it is all free too. Heard people complaining about cost of a programme - the show is free - how can they complain! Well done on puting on a brilliant 4 day show. Those pilots are amazing.
