Visited last week with my little girl, was such a lovely day with so much to do and see, the penguins being a favourite at feeding time. We ate at the explorers cafe and there was a huge range of different types of food which I was surprised about, opted for the salad bar which was lovely and also really good value for money.
The rides were great for all ages.
If you were thinking about visiting do, it was is a fun place to go.
Looking forward to our next trip.

Trip out for the day with young children, the kids really enjoyed the zoo slightly more than the rides. There was plenty to do and see. From the adult perspective it was an expensive day and the queue for the train around the park was crazy long. The water fountain area was most entertaining and the extensive outdoor play area was good. The park is definitely suitable for 5 to 13 year olds. Lots of food opportunities, benches to rest and very well laid out. We went to see the hello kitty area but the kids weren't that interested in the end as there was lots of other stuff going on. Parking was good, the road network to and from the park isn't great but once inside it's a safe clean place with plenty for young children to do.

We went to Drusillas Park in July and can thoroughly recommend it there. There are a range if different animals there which look well cared for and you can really get up close to them, especially in the bat and lemur enclosures. The park area is great for children of all ages and the water park area was brilliant! We have a 6 and 2 year old and there was lots to do for both of them. We spent a lot of time in the water park as it was so hot and the children loved it. There is also an area with rides which my eldest child loved and because we went before the holidays started, didn't have to queue at all. The drinks and ice creams were quite reasonable and we took a picnic. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and we had a really fun day. Although the entry was fairly pricey for a family of 4, it is well worth it in our opinion.

Drusilla's is a fabulous family day out! The zoo is full of a variety of unique and different animals. Loved the lemur experience where you can walk through the enclosure and see the lemurs up close! There is also a mini farm and pet zone on site too. The cafe had a variety of healthy and other yummy food options. Hello kitty land had funfair rides for all and there is also a flying cheetah and hippo bus ride too! As well as a little safari train. There is also a cafe with a soft play area and a fabulous adventure playground outside. There are separate areas for under 2s for both which was great for my 10 month old! There's also a sand pit, wet and wild park and other attractions! It's a great day out there is so much to do! What more could you want in a day. Can't wait to go back!

I visited Drusillas today with my 9month old daughter and a group of mummy friends. Had such a fun day, there's so much to do! They have a great selection of animals who all have lovely enclosures and seem relaxed, happy and well looked after. So good to see some of the more unusual species such as binturongs, beavers and red pandas, not to mention the new anteaters! You can get really up close and personal with some of the animals, my daughter loved looking at them all. We had lunch in the explorers cafe where they had loads of highchairs and lots of choices of food, including great options for kids and babies, very impressed. Also, Starbucks on site, amazing!
The play areas and rides were brilliant for all ages. love the splashpad and new hippo bus ride. I left with one suitably happy and tired out baby, Can't wait to go back again! X

My 9 year old son was Keeper for a Day at Drusillas which was a superb experience. He thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and was stuck with a permanent smile as a result. We've had endless stories about the animals he met and it's reinforced his appreciation for the natural world.
The rest of the family spent the day in the park following him around from enclosure to enclosure to share the day as much as we could. This made us feel included and as much part of the day as he was.
Thanks so much to the people who shared their knowledge and enthusiasm with him, I have a feeling he will be back again in the future.

...Oh and I love the addition of the Giant Anteaters!

The park was excellent we went there to view it before bringing all the children and the rest of the adults and it was amazing I'm really looking forward to bringing the children there, everywhere you go there is a fun little activity for the children to keep them engaged and interested, bathroom facilities are also spread out around the park, the play area for children is massive and very well made, the food area was lovely with a wide range of choices to choose from we picked to eat at the explorers cafe and the food was delicious aswell as the service being wonderful, I also loved the fact there is a short cut to the food court which means if the children are getting restless you can go eat or get a ice cream and then go back and continue, we went Into the shops which where well organised and bought a few bits but unlike some parks you can avoid the shops if you like without an argument with the children wanting items, we really enjoyed the day and can't wait to return, well worth the money and travel thank you for the great day.

We have had annual passes for Drusilla's twice and if you're local it is worth the money.

There's lots of animals to see and while there are perhaps a few enclosures that could use updating, they are by and large very good and the animals seem well cared for. They do make a big effort each year to make updates to the animals' enclosures and the attractions. The talks are interesting and worth catching if you can and it's a good idea to make sure you've got a pound for everybody in the party so that you can feed the lorikeets.

Once you've seen the animals there is a lot for the kids to do: 2 outdoor playgrounds for differing ages, a water playground that has fountains and water canons, a great indoor soft play that is cleaner than most I've seen and then there's the rides. Drusilla's have just introduced 2 new safari based rides and the safari train that goes around the park. This is in addition to the Hello Kitty rides that they already had. All in all there are 5 different rides that are fantastic for kids (and the grown-ups too).

There are additional paid-for activities: climbing wall, panning for gold, inflatable slide and fossil digging. I believe that you pay 1 additional price at the gate that gives you access to all of these, but we haven't done this due to the children's age.

There are 2 different cafe's, as well as some lighter snacks at the soft play. The food is decent for a tourist attraction, there is Starbucks coffee and even a small selection of alcoholic beverages.

Overall you can spend the whole day here and it is good value for money.

We had a great day at Drusillas, we went with our 12 year old and nearly 2 year old. It wasn't too big, there was things for all ages. I loved the steps to toddlers could see into enclosures and the toddler toilet seats.

The kids had great fun, and we had a rest at the end while they played on the park.

Would without a doubt love to go here again.

Visited with our two children (2 and a half and 11 weeks) and had a great day! Staff very friendly and took time to show my son the animals that he couldnt spot. Easy layout to follow and to get the pram around. Son loved the splash pad and playground.

We used clubcard vouchers as it worked out quite expensive without but after visiting, we would pay the full price to visit again!

We have visited many times over the past 3 years, and normally take a picnic. However as the weather has been so hot recently we decided we would get something there. We ate in the children's playground area , my husband had the chicken burger and I had the chicken nuggets. I must say they were the best chicken nuggets I have ever eaten, you could tell they were real chicken ,my husband said the burger was a chicken fillet. We went with our 2 grown up daughters and 2 grandchildren they also agreed that the food was lovely. We meant to ask the girl on the way out who's nuggets they were.
Also I use a mobility scooter and when we got there my husband discovered he had forgotten to put the battery in the car. He was going to go home and get it (140 mile round trip ) my daughter said don't be silly dad let's see if they can do anything to help us, and indeed they did, they had a wheelchair we could hire ,( for a deposit which we got back when we retuned it ) so technically it was free . Shame it wasn't a scooter but you don't look a gift horse ......
As for the zoo, a lovely collection of smaller animals, some of which I haven't seen in any of the bigger zoos, and lots of information about them
The children's play area is second to none especially the new rides. And the water park is just the right size , no matter where you are sitting within that area you can see your child, which is a lot better than some other places. One of my daughters forgot her 11 year olds swimwear but the shop had a swimsuit ( £6.99 ) and a towel around the same price. Which I think was fantastic value.
All in all a very good day, even better if you use Tesco vouchers. The only complaint I would have is the price of admission for under 5s. I do think that should be reduced We were fortunate as our little one won't be 2 till next week which is why we went today , because the next time we go we will have to pay full adult price for her.
Whatever you are doing keep on doing it, it works !!!!!

Had a great time here. Love the fact they've moved the water park into the play area. Still a wonderful selection of play equipment for kids.

Lots of types of animals to see, but some enclosures feel a little small...The goats particularly looked too big for their small enclosure.

Sad thomas has home...The safari express feels dull in comparison. The only animal you see on the journey is a camel.

Good day out overall.

Our Rainbow Unit had a lovely day at Drusillas celebrating the 30th birthday of when the Rainbows started within Girlguiding on Saturday 1st July 2017. The Rainbows enjoyed seeing all the animals, playing in the Hello Kitty Secret Garden, Go Wild, Go Bananas, Go Safari, Get wet, Hippopotobus, Flying cheetahs and the Express train. We had the perfect day weather wise, not too hot, but dry and warm enough for the Rainbows to use the Get Wet splash area.

We had our dinner and tea in your restaurant and the staff and food were excellent. I would definitely recommend Drusillas as a place for a uniform unit to visit for a fun day out at a reasonable price.

I visited here with family and we had the most spectacular day. So much to see and learn - if you have children with you I feel that adults would want to visit again so that they can spend time learning about the history of the zoo. The animals were close to us but had the most amazing and natural habitats for the animals it was almost like they were not being kept in a zoo. I will definitely visit again.

It might feel pricey, but its worth the spend in comparisob to other pay for entry parks and attractions. Its not for older teens, unless they love animals, as the rides are geared for younger guests.
Up to 13/14 is great for any age, my kids were 18 months and 10 years old and they love it....it obviously helps if the weather is nice as alot is outdoors.
Bring a picnic as lots of space and facilities to picnic....and food options are pricey and not wonderful quality, think harvester kids menu standard.

We were lucky to be able to go on a school inset day, so it was quiet. Loved the children activities, very well thought out, educational and fun! the children thought they were at a zoo, then it turned in to an adventure play ground then just as it started getting even move exciting rides appeared! I would say best ages to visit 4 years (over 90cm) to 9 years. However it's educational for all ages and so much better that other parks.

Took my great grandson here today and was not the most enjoyable day out.
It cost us £95 for four adults and the grandson. The animals were fine but some of the equipment was unsuitable for him he is 41/2 years of age. The most annoying problem was while some of the rides are included with the entrance fee others were not. This to me defeats the object of going to an attraction like this. It would be better to put another £1 or so on the admission price and make everything free. The food while not overly expensive was not the best.

We have had an annual ticket for here for almost a year and it has more then paid for itself. We frequently broke up trips to grandparents house with this park.

There are lots of things to do, rides for all ages, soft play, animals of course, a Lemur walk through, an adventure playground, a shop plus a thomas shop as the train used to be done up like thomas the tank engine which all kids love. Unfortunately they couldn't keep the thomas train but it is now a safari train which takes visitors around the park.

A very comfortable day out and would highly recommend is passing or not too far to travel.

Visited here yesterday with my wife and daughter. Really well thought out, loads to do and caters for all age ranges. My 2 year old daughter loved it, her only disappointment being that I wouldn't let her go on some of the larger slides in the play park area! Will definitely be back and would recommend. Great value for money!

Did a Red Panda feeding experience which was wonderful. The keeper was very interesting to talk to and when we got chatting he did not clock watch and so had an extra 10 mins.

The entrance price was a bit of a hit on our wallets, but it compares very well to prices at similar attractions. Our visit was in early/mid June, so there weren't so many school-age children around. The timing of the visit was perfect as the zoo wasn't super-busy and it gave our two-year-old the chance to explore and to actually see the animals. While the zoo didn't have such a wide range of species as our local zoo in Norway, we felt the range and the scale of zoo was about right for a toddler. The marked trail around the park, which other reviewers felt was restrictive was actually ideal for a small child with a short attention span. Our only criticism was that it made it a bit difficult to get to see feeding times on time as you had to retrace your steps or rush ahead bit. The rides were also very appropriate for a younger child and the little one got a chance to go on his favourite ones several times over. (What a contrast to our trip to Legoland last year, which offered very little to entertain a toddler, had horrendous queues and was very expensive). The food on offer was nothing to write home about, but it suited our needs very well. All in all we would go back again at the same time next year.

We had an excellent day at Drusillas - grandparents, parents and five children aged between 8 and 2. The interest starts just ahead of admission with things to do via the 'Zoolympics Challenge' and an 'Animal Spotter Book' for the little ones to stamp. Lots of interesting areas to interact with.

Once we had seen all the animals, including some I have never heard of before, the children were able to let off their energy in the play park and wet play areas. All very good, although a little crowded.

My only disappoint was the lack of watering points, with absolutely none in the general picnic area. Long walks to and fro on a very hot day.

Also, paying £3 each for the little ones to hunt for dinosaur remains with a small cheap toy as a reward was a bit far fetched, especially when they were asked to hide the bits they found afterwards. Even though they enjoyed the experience, it cost a lot for very little. Didn't attempt the Penguin Plunge as this was way too expensive for several children.

Thought the afternoon train driver was very polite, contentious and helpful.

Spent the day here on 18th June. We went as a family including my 6 year old grandchild. This is a lovely place where you can easily spend a good whole day. Lots of small animals to see. There are plenty of rides for children and adults and we managed to get onto all of them. My granddaughter absolutely loved Hello Kitty Secret Garden and as it was so hot it was perfect to spend the afternoon in the Get Wet water park. There is just so much for children and adults to do. Plenty of eating places as well as plenty of picnic areas for those who want to take their own food. Was impressed with how clean it all is and how friendly the staff are.
