Our first visit to Drusillas, although our grandson had visited before. We arrived just after opening time and the car-park was almost full ( Easter School Hols) First off we took a tour round to see the animals, we were impressed with the layout and all the animals looked well cared for. Lots of staff busy cleaning out enclosures. Our particular favourite was the penguins which are housed in a good sized pool area. After lunch we went into the adventure play area. Our grandson loved the slides etc., We noticed that lots of work was underway building new attractions.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit, it isn't cheap but you do get value for money.
Looking forward to a return visit some time.

A fantastic day for my daughter's 9th birthday present. Zookeeper for the Day is a truly memorable experience. A wonderful day from start to finish. She got so close to so many animals and was made to feel very special. Only one child a day gets to be keeper so the attention is solely on them. The keeper who took my daughter round was friendly and knowledgeable and made she he pitched the day at a level to suit her. He answered all her ( many!) questions and she learnt a great deal about the animals and their habitats. Met and fed meerkats, coatis ,capybarra, porcupines, penguins and lemurs plus loads more. Highlights were the armidillo and two toed sloth for me, while for my daughter it was mummy getting pooed on by a fruit bat! Would totally recommend. In fact she has already asked if she can forgo a party next year and do it all over again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the number of things to see at Drusillas. It's well laid out so although there's lots to see, it's not spread out which makes it easy to get around.

It was busy when we got there at 11, and had to queue for about 15 minutes to get in. It was a noisy crush of people at first but the crowds do thin out as you go round. By about 1pm thr crowds round the animals had thinned considerably, but the queue for the land train stayed long all day and the crowds had moved to the rides/park.

Lots of facilities (toilets/restaurants/benches) as you go round and you can take picnics in with you.

Drusillas is a really good day out for families - a zoo and an adventure playground. The animanls look well-kept in specifically designed areas, few cages to be seen and some not enclosed at all, . The educational material about each animal was excellent with a particular emphaiss on conservation,. There was also a fascinating zoo'lymoics which enabled children (and the odd adult) to see if they could jump higher, run faster etc etc compared with various animals. The play areas were well-designed and, like the whole park, very clean. I highly recommend Drusillas, especially good for children upto 12 or 13.

Went with family on a Sunday (6 and 8 year old). Easy to find and well sign-posted. Car-parks were close to the entrance no more than 5 min walk away (at most). Good variety of animals (for kids) and interactive information. The various zones were very well maintained and really good apparatus. Were charged for things like bouncy slide (thought that was included); many picnic points and the on-site café/take out places seemed good too. Toilets were clean and smelt nice. Only drawback was the site could have done with more sign-posting to other areas. We arrived at 10am and stayed to 4pm. Kids loved it, and parents too!

First visit to drusillas for little ones 5th birthday and we had a great day out!
Really enjoyed the animals, especially the lemur enclosure.
Our daughter loved collecting stamps in her booklet as we explored too.

Great play areas, we had a dry mild day so preferred the outdoor areas to play as the indoor soft play is set up in a way it's hard to keep an eye on your younger kids which is needed being so many bigger kids allowed in.

We didn't eat there as we chose to take a packed lunch but saw 3 different cafe/food places on site.

Beware coffee lovers! Go to Starbucks (2 on site) as the coffee from the indoor soft play / play area cafe is awful!!

Disappointed that Thomas has closed now. They are replacing it with something new.
Also a little disappointed in Hello Kitty world which consists of just 3 or 4 themed rides. Looked more exciting in the leaflet.

Enjoyed ourselves and are likely to return one day.

This is a nice, fairly compact park. It's clean and tidy and well maintained. The zoo part is nice enough but some of the enclosures are too small for the animals. The entry costs are high but what takes the biscuit a little is the costs of some of the extra rides. They are unjustifiable. If you go on an off peak sunny day then the kids will want to spend all day here. On a rainy day it might be a short visit

We visited here again..3 years since our last visit. We chose to come here as we were taking a short break in Eastbourne during the easter half term. It was quite busy and I am pleased that we chose to exchange our clubcard vouchers for two adult tickets and brought the online ticket for our son (which is an adult price after the age of two). Animals all very good and we did the stamp book as we spotted each animal with our son. I did notice a couple of the interactive attractions no longer worked properly e.g. the singing life cycle and the crocodile in the pond. The play areas are still good and I think that they have moved the wet area, it's now at the rear of this area and our little boy loved this as we were lucky with the weather. We also got to meet bing and flop, a little Highlight and added bonus. The train has changes to an African theme instead of Thomas. They are getting a few more little rides around the African theme. This is good for non hello kitty fans like my boy who wasn't impressed with the "girls" ride as he called them, I still managed to convinced him to go on a blue teacup haha. Nice for little ones if little pricey over the age of 2.

We had a great morning, car park was really busy by 10:15 and I expected it to be chaos but we had the zoo to ourselves. The new anteater (Olivia) is beautiful. We were first in line for the train, nothing special just repainted/redesigned but the new flamingo tunnel is very pretty. Bing and Flop were due a break but we joined a short queue and were lucky to get a photo before they left. Staff in this area were excellent, managing customer expectations very well. We have been members for years and renewed again today. Park was very clean as always.

We loved Drusillas. Great family day, lovely zoo with some different animals to most zoos. The kids loved the rides in hello kitty secret garden & the new train ride. Although we took a picnic we brought our lunch at a very reasonable price. Looking forward to visiting again when the new hippopotamus & chetta rides open.

My husband bought me experiences with the meerkats and the lemurs for a Christmas present. The visits were a great success; the zookeepers, Gavin and Lauren were engaging and enthusiastic and the animals delightful. Thoroughly recommended.

My 7 year old daughter had a zookeeper experience for her birthday. We were lucky enough to book on an inset day so the price was the cheapest off peak price. I think it was pretty good value. We were shown around by a lovely zookeeper called Eva who was very friendly and informative. The day started at 10am and the first job was to prepare the feeds. It was so interesting to see behind the scenes. She then had to muck out and feed the meerkats. There were so many animals she got to feed and hold including penguins, capybaras, bats, meerkats, gecko, mouse, pig, armadillo, gerbil, cockroach, millipipede, owl, snakes, lemurs, raccoons, and probably more! There was an hour for lunch and my daughter got a free lunch voucher for the explorers cafe. The experience finished at 3.30 and we then spent the next hour And a half playing I the play areas. So much to see and do and we bought an annual pass on the way out so will have many more visits.

My son was a zoo keeper for the day for his 12th birthday. It was expensive but worth every penny. If your child loves animals this is a must do experience for them. We were meet by a lovely lady called Julie who was to show us around for the day. Julie gave my son a really nice sweatshirt to wear which you can keep. The day starts at 10am and finishes at 3:30 and we had a lunch break and were given a voucher to spend in the restaurant.. My son learnt about what the animals had to eat and how to prepare it.Julie told us about each animal and made it all very interesting. He helped to clean out the meerkats and capybara. He got to meet, cuddle, hold and feed loads of animals so many I cant remember them all but the ones I can remember are meerkats capybara beavers penguins lemurs bats sloth snakes chinchilla gerbil pig millipede owl racoons (loved the racoons so friendly) and more. You get to see a lot of behind the scenes things as well. We felt really well looked after it was truly an amazing day and my son keeps asking when can he do it again. After he had finished we got time to have a look round on our own and play in the play park and left at 5 when the zoo closed. Even if you don't want to be a zoo keeper Drusillas is a wonderful place to take your children with so much to see and do some people say it is abit expensive but I think if you can make a day of it,and there is lots to do, once you are in there is it worth while. Ive been taking my children since they are small and we've always had a good time there.

I went with my 3yo son and we had a lovely day. Weather was very warm for time of year so was busier than would be expected for this time of year. It is an ideal place for parents with younger children as it caters for the 2 to 12 year olds but is also a great day out for the whole family.

Currently going through some building works, so the train wasn't running and they are installing 2 or 3 new rides which are yet unavailable. However we were given half price ticket vouchers to return when it is fully operational which are valid until the end of 2017!

The site was clean and well maintained. The animals looked happy and healthy and Drusillas have done well in making the enclosures look and feel like natural environments.

No big animals here, except for a couple of camels but you can get quite close and personal with some of the small ones. We especially enjoyed the lemurs being fed, where you could go into their enclosure and be up real close to these lovely creatures - no touching though!

Great day out - loved it!

Me and my close-knit group of friends all used to come here as young kids and we all still love it!

From milking a Cow to meeting a Meerkat, this place has everything to both educate and entertain all ages in animal life and Zoology at a very reasonable price.

The staff are great and knowledgeable and I cannot wait until my next visit!

I cannot rate this enough. I got to learn so much about a wide variety of animals, got close up to many such as the meerkats, armadillo, ... I was educated on everything about the animals digestive systems, personalities, interaction, camouflage, etc.. The zookeeper was incredibly informative and in addition, there were many laughs. Im an adult who just wanted to try something new (and yes i do like animals) but this experience exceeded my expectations.

Had an 'encounter' voucher given to me as a birthday present, and chose the Meerkets. The voucher included a day in the park. I had not been before and thoroughly enjoyed myself, even though it was pouring down with rain. :-( What sweetie pies the Meerkats are! Really helpful and friendly staff ensured the encounter was really enjoyable - so much so I want to do it again! I would recommend the encounter to anyone who wants to get up close and personal with the Meerkats.

We visited as a group of friends of four adults (no kids) and wandered around this park. Its really easy to navigate your way around and they have really thought about the layout and signage. All the enclosures were well kept and really nice all the animals looked happy and healthy. They have a great collection of different types of animals, and great ways of viewing them. Their dedication to educate through well thought out signs, interactions and keepers dotted about the place is really great. The zoo is a decent size for a small zoo, dedicate a few hours to look around these bits - also its good to go around again in the afternoon as we saw many more animals awake and about. We also stopped for lunch, and even though its family friendly food its nice. I had the chicken nuggets and these felt like a lot of meat and it was reasonably priced. The play areas they have for kids looked awesome - i was a little jealous we couldn't try these out ourselves. If you have children this is a really good park to let them let of steam. Their is also a small 'hello kitty' themed area with a few rides which also looks good for children.

I have seen a few people criticize that this is an expensive park, but we felt we got our moneys worth. Yes its pricey but you get a lot for your money and this is a zoo plus more and is a treat day out. Also you can get annual passes and visit over and over for a reasonable amount. Drusillias is a beautiful place to visit, with a great variety of animals, and lots to explore and do. I would highly recommend a visit.

Drusillas Park is a good day out with the family. There are plenty of different things to do. Start by waking through the zoo with all the different animals. In the middle of the park is a great modern play park for children all ages. Next to it a water park so in the summer bring your swim gear. This is a great place to stop and have a break while the kids play. Restaurants and cafes are all around here. After you can go through there are gold mine games, a big inflated slide all which you have to pay for. Then you have the Thomas the tank engine train ride, seat in and go for a ride around the park. After here the is a new hello kitty part with car rides and tea cups. The shop and another restaurant is located at the exit/entrance. All rides are included in the entry fee apart from the additional inflated slide and everything in this area. Plenty of parking spaces. You are also a 20 min drive from Seaford Beach.

If you can find a deal this is a great day out in Sussex but the door price is expensive for what you get. The playground and facilities are excellent.

We have annual memberships and once again came with our little 3 years old. It is always a pleasure to spend time in the park and the zoo. My little one only enjoyment is coming to this park and to be honest I love it too ( even so I have been coming here for the last 15 years as I have 5 children). It is a great day out for the family. We came for half term and the parking was busy but you still could do so many things. My little one is a big fan of Paw patrol and seeing Marshall and Chase made his day. They were so organise as you ALWAYS had one character on show so you could take pictures with them. It was raining on the day but that did not ruin our visit as we went to the zoo part and see the animals. I am horrified about comments I have just read about people complaining about that amazing FAMILY park/zoo! The price is extremely reasonable, remember it is a park and a zoo of very high quality.. what are they expecting? cheap tickets and how do you run a business that big, feed all these animals and pay all these very friendly employees? The price in on the website so it is no surprise when you arrive. I have 5 children myself and it is not the park responsibility if it became expensive:) big family are expensive with anything, you should have think about it before :) I would highly recommend you to get annual memberships. We enjoy our ones and cannot fault Drusillas!

Visited with 3 children age 16,14 and 8. The zoo was well thought out with lots of smaller animals to see. The spotters guide for kids kept my 8 year old happy. The outdoor play area was brilliant. However at £95 on the day price for a family of 5 it was expensive. Priced on a par with Chester Zoo and whilst drusillas is good, it only has the smaller animals and is only really a half day out. Thomas has now left and they are building a new exhibit, we were given a return trip for half price to make up for this, however that's not much good if you live 100 miles away. I won't be going back.

We love Drusillas! Visited today to see Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Another fantastic, well organised, magical event for our two toddler boys. Played in the playground after and had a lovely lunch. Couldn't recommend Drusillas more - looking forward to our next visit already!
