My toddler and I visited on a day when Paw Patrol were also going to be there.

When we arrived we had to queue for 40 minutes. I had brought my tickets on line so do find it odd that there is no gate specifically for pre paid tickets. Surely this would help keep the queuing time down.

The animal enclosures looked nice with plenty of viewing opportunities. The toddler loved the penguins. You can walk through a bat enclosure, a lemur enclosure and a bird section but we didn't as the toddler didn't want to. Hopefully next time.

There is a very large playgroup for kids to play in. It is very large and I lost the toddler a few times. Would be nice if areas were gated in as it is a large space with lots of slides and walkways that is easy to lose your child on. Having said that the toddler loved it. There is also splash area but that was packed so we didn't go in.

We queued for about an hour and 40 minutes for the the toddler to see, hug and have his picture taken with Paw Patrol. Despite the wait we weren't made to feel rushed but you do need to take something to entertain your little ones in the queue as there was no other entertainment unless you let them go off on their own.

The Thomas train was a great success, we went on 3 times. The toddler loved seeing the other Thomas characters and waving at people. It's a shame that Thomas will be leaving soon but hopefully the Safari Train that is replacing it will be as fun for the little ones.

We visited the Hello Kitty area. The toddler loved the car and tea cup ride.

The paddling pool looked nice but the toddler ran past and back to the Thomas train.

I found the park to be clean and tidy despite the amount of people visiting and I found the gift shop to fairly priced on branded items. We did take a picnic so can't comment on the food prices.

All in all a lovely but busy day.

Drusillas has always been a great venue, I took my kids there over 25 years ago and now visiting with our grandchildren - it was good then, it's great now. The venue is first class and extremely well thought out. It's educational and it's fun. There's plenty to see and do, you run out of energy before you run out of things to do!

Congratulations to the proprietors, it really shows you care!

Visited with 4 & 8 year old. Pre booked tickets which saved money and spead up entry a little. Well run facilities with lots of areas, suggest skipping first bit of Zoo as everyone seemed to go very slow at the beginning. We did many of the Hello Kitty rides at lunchtime as no queues at all bit even later they weren't too bad. Overall very good and we much. Preferred here over Peppa Pig world. Well worth a visit

My husband adopted me an otter here at Christmas which has been a good reason to visit twice so far this year! It is a lovely day out for children. You don't need to worry about visiting and seeing nothing as at more or less every enclosure you have a good view of the animals. The meerkats, penguins and otters are highlights for us. There are good walk through areas with lemurs and lorikeets. There is an excellent children's playground at the end with water play areas, Thomas train and Hello Kitty ride. The explorer's restaurant is a bit average and we couldn't find anything we fancied eating there but had coffee from the Starbucks hatch instead. Very good day out but bring a picnic.

Two Grandparents + Mum + 3 yr old + 1 yr old on a Sunny hot Saturday; August 2016.

On arrival I was a bit taken back by the entrance fee but was soon proved wrong.

it advertises as a Zoo with children play areas, and I was worried the kids would be bored with the zoo bit. But no ! It is all arranged with kids in mind. Lots of small animals that the kids can get close to and touch some.
I laugh as I watch our 3yr old trying to milk a "cow".
There are no big animals but there is lots of interaction and puzzles and badges and stamp books and buttons and levers and climbing and tunnels to enjoy.

Following the route through the "Farm" we end up at a play area and fast food outlet.
Time to let the kids run riot.
The fast food is worth the price; big chicken breast burger, big chips and big drink; and served fast too. Mmmm.

Through a tunnel (past the obligatory shop) takes you to "Thomas the Tank Engine" railway. Kids loved it - over and over again .... choo choo!
More ice cream and a wander into a play garden for little kiddies; car rides and spinning tea cups and a uppy downy ride thing ! Again couldn't get the kids away.

Then back through the tunnel to the new Water Splash Area - loads of kids (some in their 30s) getting wet and running around. Plenty of seating around the dry edge for parents with towels.

Now the kids were getting tired, so through the tunnel again for a splash in the paddling pool and a listen to an elephant fart ! I kid you not !

More ice cream and back to the car for a sleep on the way home.

We arrived at opening time and left at closing time. A couple of areas we simply didnt have time to see, so a return trip is needed.
The kids were so excited and still are when we show them the pictures we took.

All in all - yes a bit pricey at first - but once in you must think - How do they do all this so cheaply ?!

Remember to take a towel - and keep an eye on the kids 'cos they are fast and blend in the crowd.

We have been members at Drusillas for the past three years with our daughter. She just loves going there and it has been great to see her becoming confident in all of the play area's. We go a couple of times a month and the membership is well worth the money.

Every year new things get updated and we're looking forward to 2017 when further investment is being made with new rides coming including a Safari Express Train.

We've eaten in the restaurants and there is a wide range of healthy food for everybody.

You can easily spend a day here and that is why it is great having a membership as if the weather is poor, you can go in the Soft Play Area.

I would like to put on record that the park is always very clean and the staff are always very pleasant.

Keep up the good work!

We spent all day at Drusillas Park with our grandchildren. They just loved seeing the animals and particularly stamping the little booklet when they spotted the animal. It was fun watching the penguins being fed and the flamingos especially fascinated them. There are many other animals to see which is adding to the education of the children. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant and afterwards enjoyed the fun rides and the really pretty Hello Kitty gardens with fountains. There is a pool for the children to play in and another fun water area along with climbing facilities and abseiling. A perfect day for all ages of children and adults. We have been before and will certainly will visit again. Janet Stone

We 💛 Drusillas ....having been members since 2013 our visits have just got better and better. The Park and their staff are always striving to make Drusillas more exciting, more interactive and more educational.

And now we've been treated to a brand new water splash park that was opened this summer - It's Watererrific!!!

Every visit for us is different because as my son grows he finds new things at the park that interests him.
From the animals, the interactive games throughout the park (that are loved whether you're young or old 😉 ..our firm fave is the telephone box!) to Hello Kitty Land, Thomas The Tank Engine train ride, The Outdoor Play Area, Soft Play, Swimming Lagoon etc etc etc...a full day of fun is guaranteed!

We used to take our kids when they were little now 25 years later it is the Grandson. We loved it So much to see and do Bit pricey but I never mind when the animals are well kept and cared for and the investment over the years is obvious to see. Impressed too with the cafe not much waiting, large portions, good menu and good clean area to eat in. Weather permitting a good idea to take swim stuff for kids as the water areas looked very inviting.

Boring for me lol. Went on a Saturday. Wasn't particularly busy. Thanks god. Have visited before several years ago. Not much has changed. My son liked looking at the animals. My only gripe in the zoo part was buggies!! They were everywhere! I felt like I was on the krypton factor trying to find my way through them all! I understand Mums need to bring them but instead of leaving them in the way. Move them out of the way. Went to the playground after the zoo. Son enjoyed this. We had food which wasn't great to be honest. Then went to the new water park/splash area. It was fab. You could sit on the fake grass. It was comfortable enjoy the sun whilst the little one played. Went back to the playground. Then left. Spent a good 5hrs there. Will visit again but bypass the zoo.

Drusillas is clean and tidy with lots to do. My kids loved the animals, the train, the park, the hello kitty rides and the swim/splash pool! We could have spent 2 days here as the here was so much to do (sunshine helped!). Would like to see some
Picnic seating in the play area (tables are for purchased food only). The only drawback is the price (over £70 for a family of 4) but would highly recommend using Tesco Clubcard points to swap for tickets as brilliant value!

Went to Drusillas yesterday with my husband, 3 young children, parents and 2 nephews, was overall a really good day. Everything is very clean and tidy there. The beginning part I found was a bit too....tight...busy..was desperate to find some space/area to have lunch - had to zoom ahead with everyone in the end to the large amazing play area to sit and eat, then back track and go back through the areas we zoomed through previously. Noticed most animals were all very ...quiet/sleeping. Massive lonely frog was in a small tank, poor thing, fed the small birds some nectar, that was lovely, train ride was ok, hello kitty area was really nice.
Recommended overall. Nice day out. Adventure playground area is masssssive.

An enjoyable stroll around the Zoo trail, it did get a bit claustrophobic in the inside areas, especially as there were large groups of small children who were excitedly banging all the information flaps down, can't be to restful for the animals! But on the whole a good selection of small animals to observe, we ate at one of the food halls, the staff were very efficient and helpful and the food was good value and tasty, I would expect younger children to get much more out of this place as our two are well past the Hello kitty stage :-)

Love this place there is soo much to see and do from animals to toddlers pool to a train ride to slides and swings and climbing and an indoor adventure park, aimed at the toddler to the ten year old age group, this is no ordinary zoo, our 4 year old absolutely loved it!!! The food in the cafes wasn't too badly priced although we did take a picnic and there are plenty of places to sit and eat. Will definitely be returning 😄👍🏼

Visited yesterday with my 4 young children and we all had an awesome day. So much to do and see, explore and play. Lots of lovely animals that you actually get to see, loads of interactive areas where the children can learn, amazing play areas, fab rides in Hello Kitty land and a ride on Thomas plus the new water park was brilliant. Kids literally enjoyed every single second. Honesty couldn't recommend highly enough.

Visited today especially for my son to see his favourite characters Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Arrived 15 mins before opening and there were already hundreds of cars there with huge queues to get in, but the queue moved quick and the staff on the entrance were very efficient getting people in quick. We were prepared for a busy day as it was their first Paw Patrol event, even one of the staff said they have never seen it so busy! But it didnt bother us we were still able to see all the animals and play in the new splash pad which my 5 year old loved along with all the other attractions. The queue to see Paw Patrol was long but well organised with cafes nearby to grab a snack while you wait or in our case an ice cream as it waa such a lovely day!! We had a brilliant time, so much to see and do and the only thing we had to queue for was to see Paw Patrol which you have got to expect especially in the summer holidays. Overall amazing day out for adults and kids. And we used clubcard vouchers to get in (only £6pp) so another bonus. Cant wait to go back

We visited with our daughter and her partner as he hadn't visited there since he was a youngster. It was great value and we really enjoyed looking at all the animals. All the animals looked well cared for and we were surprised how much it had changed and how much there was to do.

Went there today after hearing lots of good things about it, and wasn't disappointed. Lots to do and loads to keep the kids entertained. The one negative I would say is that I had to pay full price for my daughter who is 2 yet she was not even tall enough to ride one of the hello kitty rides she wanted to go on. If they can't go on everything why charge such a high price?

We loved every minute of our trip to Drusillas Park!

The kids were in awe with the animals, enjoyed their lunch and then getting the faces painted and sitting on the rides just topped it off.

All the staff were very pleasant and we found that there wasn't an element of rush... It was very calm so we were able to take our time to stand and watch the animals...

... I compare this to my various visits to famous zoo in central London where people are pushing in and at times rude..

Drusillas is just wonderful! I enjoyed it more than the kids i think!

Keep up the good work!

The venue is great for children, and the staff are very enthusiastic. The failing is in the density of the enclosures and walkways. Using a mobility scooter, you are made to feel like you are constantly in the way. I nearly ran over the same child 5 times, as some parents forget they are still meant to keep an eye on their children.
Some areas are marked no pushchairs, so this is ambiguous, as you don't know if this is not for wheelchairs and scooters due to space issues. So didn't try to access these parts just in case got stuck.
The pathways are very cramped and are all over the place with slopes in all directions. Not good when trying to stay upright in a mobility scooter.

I visited with my boyfriend as we were staying in the area and both fancied a day at the zoo (especially one with penguins).

We both loved it! The monkeys especially as there are many different breeds to see and there are so many baby animals- can't believe how tiny the meerkat's are!

The zoo is big but the zoo route is clearly marked and makes it much more fun than faffing around with a complicated map (if like me you want to make sure that you haven't missed anything!)

It is clearly a big hit with families, there is a train around the park, hello kitty land, a wet play area and much much more. But it is also a really great place to visit as a couple- the animal feeding times are fun to watch and the keepers are more than happy to answer any questions you have. I especially enjoyed the boards giving information next to the animals including a 'fun fact' for each!

In comparison to other zoos the main thing I noticed is how much room the animals have, with plenty of good viewing positions- lovely to see a zoo which cares more about the animals they have than how many they can fit in.

We will definitely be visiting again!

A perfect day out with our 2 children aged 9 and 10. Every animal is visible! All available with different viewing heights for people. Activities to keep children engaged and always plenty of staff around if you want to ask questions. To finish the day off is a good play in the vast playground. All in all a fabulous day out!
