Had my first visit to Drusillas today and had a fabulous time. The zoo is excellent and, especially with the new Go Safari open, there are loads of rides too. A full day of fun for the kids.

A great zoo! at first from the advertisements it seems like it's just for families/children, but it's actually great even for just adults going too!

Cannot say enough how good this was, my daughter is mad on penguins so this was for her birthday treat. From start to finish the keeper clare was excellent answering all of graces questions and interacting with her completely. Excellent value for money and great day out

Went to drusillas Park.was a 2 hour drive so was a little bit disappointed with what we paid fir.the zoo is really good but when it came to rides for my 3 year old grandaughter there wasn’t much.we went on 9th May and because it was early season I suppose they class it like that there wasn’t much open.staff had to run astound taking turns to open rides so my grandaughter was disappointed she had to wait fir staff to open them at certain times.there were only 5 rides in total to go on when they openened them now and then.there were no ice cream huts open at all.only one restaurant was open and 2 sovenier shops.was really disappointed as it was a hot day and was a fair walk back to sovenier shop to find an ice cream or lolly to buy for little one.got to say though the food was lovely and restaurant was nice and clean.not hardly any toilets open around the park.took us 2 hours to get there so won’t be going there again.

Visited on a very hot, very busy bank holiday but still had a brilliant day out with toddlers aged 2 & 3. Never queued for more than 2 minutes for anything. Refreshments were very good value and the staff were all lovely. Well done Drusillas!

When booking, I thought the prices a little expensive for what I was expecting. I was proved to be wrong! If you pre-book online you can save £2 per person or you can use Tesco Club card vouchers to save even more money.

We visited on a sweltering hot day so it was busy but there was plenty of free car parking. There was no queue at the entrance so we went straight in. You are immediately into the zoo area but you can bypass that if your kids want to go straight to the play area and amusements.

There are lots of small animals to see, generally in well kept areas. Some seem to be better than others for the animals and we saw plenty of small monkeys having lots of fun in the trees and rope areas in their enclosure. They have put in lots of effort into making it interesting for children as there are fun things to do relating to the animals all around the zoo and there is lots to be learnt too. Who ever knew that a group of parrots was called a pandemonium?

After spending a good couple of hours seeing the animal exhibits, you end up in a large childrens play area. Plan ahead by taking swimwear for the water fun areas but there's lots of other things to play on if you want to keep them dry. There's not lots for toddlers to go on, but there are some swings and slides which they can use. There is also a train ride, a Hello Kitty car ride and a spinning tea cups ride which the toddlers will like plus a few others which are a bit more boisterous for the older kids. All of the rides are included in the entrance fee as well, which makes it good value after all!

If you're happy to watch your kids playing for ages, you could easily spend a whole day here. There are drinks machines around the zoo and a cafe serving the usual Burgers and stuff in the play area. There are also three small souvenir shops and plenty of areas to sit, some shaded some not. You could even take a picnic if you so wish.

We had a lovely day and would fully recommend it, especially with families with 3-10 year olds.

We decided to explore Drusillas Park on May bank holiday. Not only did we have the most glorious weather, the park it’s self was perfect for all 3 of my children aged 5/8 and 10. The zoo has so many different animals, with fun facts, trails and feeding times. We then went into the play area which was amazing, followed by the splash pad! The restaurant was delicious, we enjoyed the hotdogs (they are a must).
As if that wasn’t enough we went on the safari train ride around the whole park and found hello kitty’s garden which won my 5 yr old daughters heart. It wasn’t very busy, so we didn’t have to que for any rides. We can’t wait to return, So much fun!

Lots to do for the little ones and a mini theme park for the older kids. There's a place where you can feed parrots and they land on you and eat from your hand. Absolutely amazing family day out

A great day out! Loads and loads to do - there were some sizeable bits that we didn't touch, despite it being quite quiet and us not leaving until just a few minutes before they closed the car park at the end of the day.

Only loses a star because it was quite expensive - £80 for the family of four to enter, plus £35 for lunch (burgers and chips, essentially).

There were some things that were excessively expensive - the storage lockers are £1 to use (not a deposit - when you open the locker it keeps the pound, so if you lock it and realise that you need something, that's a quid gone right away).

The penguin slide is also £5 per go. Per go! Literally, kid goes up, comes down and that's a fiver gone (there are discounts for bulk-buying tickets but, come on!) We went to the Fun Fort the day before and they have a comparable slide that's just part of the entrance fee and you can go on over and over.

So, a lost star for everything being a touch more expensive than felt necessary. We had a fun day though - the weather was fantastic, there was lots to do and the staff were great and friendly to the kids. Swallow the cost and give it a go.

Wonderful day out for the family. Lots of animals to see, so many activities and great rides for the kids to enjoy. A special thanks to Malcolm and his team in the explorers cafe who went above and beyond to cater for my son who has multiple food allergies. We had a lovely day and look forward to our next visit!

As a member and frequent visitor to chester zoo in groups of adults only I was prepared to be undrwhelmed when my sister and I decided to take a trip down memory lane our last visit was 20 years ago, well wow!!! The only thing I recognised was the train and the copycat parrot the enclosures are both sympathetic to visitors and the animals and what a variety they have, can't comment on the play areas as we are both over 40 but had a fantastic day thank you

Great fun for children. Impressed with the zoo area - my son especially enjoyed doing the zoo Olympic s on our way round. Animals look well cared for and maintained. Best part on a hot day was the splash park. Very impressed with the salad bar in the restaurant too - lots of choice and delicious food.
