My family and I came down from Margate to visit drusillas zoo on 21st November, as it was recommended by my sister as we have young kids. The price to get into the park was reasonably price for what you get inside the zoo. The price to see Santa was good to, the kids loved seeing him and the toy they got was a decent present. Unfortunately when we came it was cold and raining here and there but that didn't put any of us off the zoo we enjoyed it very much. We waited to see the winter wonderland switch on of the lights and when they got switched on I had never seen anything like it. I thought it was amazing and how they put a show on was amazing it looked so magical for the kids. We all definitely want to come back again the park definitely did not disappoint. There is so much to do and definitely worth every single penny.

Such a fab little zoo! Can't fault them, animals are so happy and healthy and in lovely clean enclosures and such a good selection of species for such a small site. Plays areas are amazing and there is something for every age even my one year has been having fun in the indoor soft play for months now. And a big big outdoor play area (weather permitting) for older children.
Food in the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced I thought some attractions I've been to charge much more for food of lesser quality.
Generally just great all round we will continue to go for many many years yet.

We had a lovely visit to Drusillas park on Sunday as we knew Santa had arrived. We often visit the zoo and always enjoy ourselves be it in the summer when we can paddle after looking at the animals or in the colder months when we wrap up and still enjoy our ride on Thomas the Tank engine. The mulled wine and mince pie were a nice addition. It was our grandson's first meeting with Santa and he didn't even cry! He received a lovely soft toy as his gift which was probably worth as much as the cost to see Father Christmas. I enjoyed the 'Hug a Husky' and it was nice not to be rushed with either this or the visit to Santa. I thoroughly recommend Drusillas as a Christmas treat for all the family.

I recently held my 60th Birthday Party here on a wet and windy Sunday in the belief that if the children are happy, then everyone is happy. There were four generations of us, including my parents, and everyone really enjoyed the day! The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and the park itself has plenty to keep all age groups interested.

We bought our daughter a zoo keeper experience for her 10th birthday. She loves all types of animals and thought this would be an exciting 'behind the scenes' adventure whilst allowing her to get up close to some of her favourites such as penguins and meerkats! The whole day was run so well and we cannot praise Carla who accompanied my daughter throughout the day enough. We highly recommend this experience and the park as a whole. My daughter has not stopped talking about her day!

Despite a wet and windy day, I enjoyed a pleasant visit to Drusillas Park with my family. The animals were interesting and were presented in some quirky ways - the vampire bats being explained by Dracula, for example. The Thomas circuit was a crowd pleaser and given the elements, the indoor soft play did the trick (80p for a pair of socks was a bonus too). It has been a family run place for 90 years, so it's nice to help fund the independent too... if we're in the area again, we'd go back...

A lovely place to visit. The Zoo was wonderful...my daughter (who is 5), my partner and I had a great day. Loads of different marmosets and tamarins. Booklets for the kids to complete and Zoolympics to try. You get to have a look inside Hello Kitty's house and my daughter wanted to go in over and over again. We were on holiday Nr Rye and this was

Excellent very well organised although little disappointed hallo kitty wasn't there every day during half term. The restaurants are very good value and the food is good. The zoo is the cleanest and best kept I've seen.

Really amazing day, my daughter loved the whole experience which we gave her as a birthday present & is saving up to do it again! The Staff were all really friendly, even in the cafe & gift shop they asked if she was enjoying herself as she was wearing the Keeper for the day sweatshirt & she was mentioned in the Keepers talks so she very much felt like a VIP! Although the experience finished at 3.30 you're free to enjoy the rest of your time there & we stayed until closing time. My son wants to do it for his birthday present & I can't wait to get to go again!! Can't recommend enough for anyone keen on animals, young or old!

Drusillas is always a good day out anyway, but we booked the experience "Lunch with the Lemurs" as a special treat for our 9 year old son and I have to say it was very special. Ethan helped prepare lunch for the lemurs (tamarind pods - who knew) and fed them lunch. I think he was a bit surprised when the lemurs jumped all over him to get at their lunch, but that was the best part for him. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and took time to make the experience special. Not cheap, but at the same time worth the money. The park is well maintained and clean and, while I'm not a huge fan of zoos, the animals seem very well looked after. A really good day out.

I took my children of 9 & 6 years old and they loved it.

They loved the animals, especially the meerkats and the exciting educational games along the way through the animal kingdom.

The play park is perfect for all age ranges and each part is well suited either for the younger children or the older ones. My son particularly enjoyed the Thomas train ride, which we went on 6 times!!!!!

The restaurant has a good variety of food ... healthy and freshly cooked too.

Overall a great day out with fun packed things for the children to do ALL DAY !

We found the park voucher in a local shop as we haven't heard about it before we were not sure how will it look like and what a surprise, this is a dream land for parents and kids, it is very well maintained and very clean. Staff are extremely helpful and smily. I ve been to loads of theme parks and this one is definitely a winner. They thoughtabt the details and understood the market so they delivered what UK customers wants. Well done

We went here for my daughter's third birthday and it was perfectly pitched for young children. With lots of animals (none of the big ones, but lots of lovely little characters - the meerkats were our favourites!), a Thomas train and Hello Kitty rides (which you don't have to pay extra for), there was plenty to keep us busy for the whole day, without feeling like you'd had a mad rush to try to fit everything in either. My daughter especially loved the animal spotter book, which is a book you get at the start and then the children can find the animals throughout the zoo and stamp it in their book. We had a nice hot lunch at the cafe (lots of options), and finished off with a play in the outdoor play area and a visit to the gift shop. We were also impressed with extra child-friendly touches, such as the children's toilet seats and low-level sinks/hand dryers. Obviously not what you go to the park for, but as a parent who has encountered some truly shoddy facilities they were a welcome bonus! A lovely day for all the family, but especially those with young children. Would recommend.

We came to the park on Monday and enjoyed a great day out. Yes it seems a lot of money but we all, adults and children had a fun time. So much to do for all ages of children. No queues on anything so our lil ones went round and round on the Hello Kitty rides. We had good weather but even on a bad day there is plenty undercover . Would like to thank Sarah who popped up doing so many jobs....Hello Kitty operator, Thomas operator and finally sweeping up in the play area. Everywhere was very clean and tidy.

I have been visiting Drusillas over the years with my own children and now their children and it is still a fantastic place to spend a day and create more happy memories.
Such a lot to see (although on this occasion our 8 year old grandaughter hurt her foot on the slide after a short time in the park so the visit was not quite as long. First aid personnel were excellent). Exceptionally clean in all areas.
Cannot praise Drusillas enough......

Wow what a great little Zoo and park! We went to Drusillas last Saturday with friends and our two children aged 4 & 2. The children loved all the animals and little games that went with them. The kids had face paints and ran to all the rides. The only trouble we had was trying to remove my son from Thomas the tank! :).

I have been coming here for years both as a kid and now as a 30 something adult.

It's a great day out with loads of animals to look at, I particularly like the monkeys!

Based in between Eastbourne and Brighton there are lots of other attractions in the area too (Middle Farm and Littlelington Team Rooms) as well as the English Wine Centre if you want to pick up something nice in the evening.

Lots of fun stuff for kids to do too and a little train that goes around that I remember being fun.

Well recommended!

We were brought to the park after our children won some free tickets and were pleasantly surprised. There is more there than we expected but it really is only a small zoo. I think what stands it in good stead is how well laid out it all is. The park has a long history (almost 100 years) of being a well loved local attraction and although some of the exhibits are dated and look like they have not been refreshed since the 60s, the majority of interactive things was in working order and efforts are made to keep it that way. I feel the target audience of the park is toddler age but our 7 and 5 year old were kept engaged by the various 'zoo-olympic' challenges around the zoo which were well thought out and fun. There is a massive play park and a new splash area being added for 2016. With where we live and how much a family ticket is (£65), I don't think we would come back but it was a nice place to visit for the day. We got everything done in 4 hours and yes feeding the Lorikeets with the £1 nectar pots is most certainly the highlight.

This was a great day out, the whole family loved it and there was a variety of different things that you could do. There was the zoo part which you could walk through first and then there was explorers lagoon which is a mini paddling pool area for when the weather is hot. There is a chance to ride on Thomas and there are also some Hello Kitty rides. As well as this the restaurants are quite nice and reasonable price.

Great day out if you're near Brighton/Eastborne. Well laid out and animals seem well cared for. My only gripe is the inflated cost of "gifts" that excited kids MUST HAVE!!!!!

I've been going here since I was a kid and now take my son. There is an ongoing investment in the whole place, with new animals, better enclosures and improved interactions throughout. You can even feed the rainbow lorikeets, an extra £1, but worth it, so have some change!
Take time in the zoo before going through to the adventure playground, which has a separate zone for under 6's as well as indoors soft play areas.
You can easily fill an afternoon here, and possibly longer if you stop for lunch.
