Unlike many zoos & safaris we've been to over the years. It has excellent enclosures that are very well designed; all the animals are clearly very happy, energetic and well looked after. It is an interactive and educational experience, enjoyed by children & adults of all ages. There are also many varied events run throughout the month/year that keep us coming back again and again. Many food outlets were well located throughout the zoo. Offering something that catered to everyone taste. The children's play areas, rides, displays et cetera were excellent! Current favourite zoo for our daughter.

Went with, 3 year old daughter 12 week old son and my dad, so 3 generations, had a lovely time, it was all well set up with plenty of small animals to see, had a nice time, the only thing I would say is £55 for about OAP, 1 adult and kids seems dear but otherwise it would have had 5/5. Glad we missed summer holidays by a couple of days!

If you have smaller children this zoo is worth a visit. Good things to keep them occupied by please get rid of the lift up interactive things kids letting them bang shut all the time must upset the animals.

My first visit to Drusillas Park was just brilliant! I took my 4 year old and my 1 year old and they both loved it! ALL of the staff were so friendly, the park is so clean and you can see how well looked after the animals are. Really is a brilliant place. Well done Drusillas.

Hands on animal experience, great for kids....especially 7 and over. Went with after school club as a helper, as I remembered how much my sons has enjoyed their visits when we took them.

This was the fourth visit to Drusillas, we travel every year from the U.S. to see my family - my son, aged 7 now always request to go back and see the animals and ride Thomas. The park offers so much and is extremely interactive - the staff are fantastic and engaging with everyone. I would highly recommend Drusillas for all the family, you must try the homemade donuts they are delicious !!!

Loved this place! Can't wait to come back when our boys are a bit older (2 year old) so they can appreciate it more and we can spend a whole day there, the adventure parks are fantastic! cater for all ages, zoo is small and they don't have giraffes like the two fake ones they have at the entrance that is a little misleading, but it's still very good and well laid out, hello kitty secret garden is great! our boy loved going around in the cars with us, it had a maze too which we didn't get time to do and Thomas the tank engine train looked good Seemed to run regularly so not much of a queue for it, plenty of places to eat and a picnic area to bring your own food which we found later on unfortunately! You have to walk towards hello kitty to find it. Overal great day! Just a shame our toddler got too tired as you do need a whole day I would say.

We visited as a group. The children were very well catered for, with a hands on animal experience that had been previously arranged. This is a great place for a family day out, particularly suitable for children aged 3-12, although other ages will enjoy it. There is a good range of animals to see and the there are a fair amount of covered walkways so if the weather is not great you can still enjoy the experience. A ride on the Thomas train is short but free. There is plenty to keep the children occupied with "zoolympics" activities as they go around the park, eg comparing the speed they can run with the speed of a cheetah. There are covered picnic areas if required and a superb adventure playground to finish with. Highly recommended for a day out.

Had a full and fun packed day at Drusillas with my two little ones aged 3 & 7. Lots to look at and lots of options for play. My Little Kitty rides were a huge hit! We were very lucky and whilst busy we did not have to wait in line for rides infact sometimes stayed on for a 2nd 3rd and even 4th ride. Food and drink reasonably priced and plenty of places to picnic. The only thing I would have liked is a play area that was gated. Overall a brilliant day out and very good value for money!

We visited on Wednesday 15th with our children aged 6, 3 and 2 and a new baby. We had a great time and loved all the animals, especially the camels and penguins! The Kitty attractions and Thomas train were really good and the play park was a big hit. The day would have got full marks and we were planning to get the annual passes which seem to be excellent value. However at around 5.30 just prior to us leaving thick, smelly, black smoke started bellowing out of an on site chimney. What was this?? ?? My throat started burning and I am concerned as to what was being burnt with young children around.

As a birthday treat I took my 11 year old grandson to Drusillas to be Zoo Keeper for the day. He loved it!
I was so impressed with our zoo keeper Julie. My grandson was asked whether there were any favourite animals that he would like to handle. Reptiles of course! We also went into other enclosures including the Meerkats. He prepared their food, fed them & did some cleaning out!
It was worth every penny & I look forward to returning with my grand-daughters when they are a little older.

the cafes there are very expensive so if you did go i would suggest that you take a packed lunch.

Here with a 3 year old and a 9 year old; they had a ball at all of the animals and then playing. There is so much to do here and its well worth a visit. At peak times it can get a little busy especially at the play areas so parents need to be there. Food was OK and quite reasonable. Plenty of ice cream stalls and who could want for more? A very well organised and run attraction that is a MUST visit.

We went as a family for my sisters twins first birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. Most of the park is outside so you do need a nice sunny day to be able to enjoy the park fully. They have many different animals to see and a large play area for the kids, they also have rides and a splash pool. The eating facilities are also good. We will deffo be visiting again once the twins are a little older and able to get around and play.

Cannot praise drusillas enough for a small zoo it holds alot.. my son absolutely loves drusillas and will easily spend hours walking through the animals, going on thomas train and in hello kitty world! I must admit the prices are abit steep as you can get into bigger zoos for alot less than drusillas charge but we buy the yearly pass which can work out expensive but the amount we use them it saves loads! Fab for a day out if we are struggling with money or just want to stay close to home! Definatly a decent day out! ☺

The zoo is great for families with young children, as there is a book to fill out with little tasks, even I got involved in the challenges. It seems to have a strict one way system which i didn't overly like, but it makes sure you see all the animals. Loved the Thomas the tank engine ride, just a shame it doesn't go all around the park. Hello Kitty section is probably better for families with children aged 6.

Drusillas is a great place to visit. It has enough things on the way around the zoo to keep everybody interested and the splash pool was a hit. Price was good as well.

We originally found Drusillas Park online as we were looking for a place that provided a Tarantula Handling experience for myself. We live in Chelmsford, Essex and Drusillas was the closest place that did one. The Tarantula experience itself was amazing! Very organised and interesting. The Tarantula keeper Angela was fantastic and had I think around 25 years experience and knowledge of these fascinating creatures. It was truly memorable :-) We also went with my brother and sister in law with their young 2 year old daughter. Little Jennifer thoroughly enjoyed herself! There were plenty of places for young children to play and cut loose, with the Thomas the Tank Engine train to travel around the park on and Hello Kitty World too (Jen's favourite). Lots of convenient toilet areas and baby changing with great places to eat aswell. The zoo part of the park is lovely with an abundance of baby animals to ooh and Ahh at too! It was one of the best family days out we've ever had. We got there on a Sunday as the park opened around 10am and we didn't leave till around 5.30pm. So much to see and do! Great customer service from friendly staff whether they were on the admission booth, serving up our burgers or talking to us about the animals. We've been telling our friends about Drusillas ever since we got home. It really was a fantastic gem to accidentally happen across. We were looking for an hour with a Tarantula....We got so much more! Give yourselves a treat and get down to Drusillas Park :-D

Drusiilas Park is an ideal place to take the kids for an interesting and interactive day out with a wide variety of small animals to see. The setting is very well laid out and access to the Monkeys is great and nearby is the play park which tiers the kids out for peaceful few moments for the adults, a great time had by all but a tad expensive

Ok so it is very pricey, why adults are charged the same as a two year old I will never know, it does seem very money grabbing and without justification. However , once you are in it really is a very nice day ( depending on it not being too busy) you can easily spend a good 4, 5 or even 6 hours there and your kids will love it. It is nice to see the animals so very obviously well looked after, with such a high level of care and attention given. The enclosures are visually good too, and with a good amount of fun info about the animal for the kids to read. The park in General is well laid out and in the summer the lagoon is the highlight. It is a shame they let themselves down with the entrance fees, quite greedy! And best avoided when you can foresee it being manic as it does dampen the experience slightly.

I went to Drusillas today because it was near by to where i live in Eastbourne and easily accessible. Me and my 18 year old son enjoyed the day especially the monkeys, the play park and the Thomas the Tank engine ride. However his favourite part was the Hello Kitty Garden but unfortunately he was not allowed on it because it was apparently unsafe for a 6 foot 5 18 year old to go on. It was also unfortunate that he wasnt allowed in the amazon adventure because ge was too old. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much.
