I'll keep it succinct: Went with my family- me, other half, one teen, one 5 year old and a 1yr old; arrived early and virtually no queues anywhere, lots of different animals, great play area, better than expected food, and at an average of less than £4/person/hour great value.

Has been quite a few years since I last visited and can honestly say if was as good, if not better than before. Everyone had a good day and will go back.

AS in my previous reviews, this trip was made possible by my wifes expertise at shopping at Tesco's! We are a family of 5,and had we paid at the gate,it would have cost us,just shy of £90..
Would I have paid this..Yes(with saving up for a couple of months!).
I have been coming here to this attraction since I was a kid myself, and going back with mine,is what I say others doing too.
The new attraction of the Hello Kitty section, has been very well laid out,its almost "Disney" like,in the cleanliness and positive attitude of staff manning these small rides.
Overall,a good day out,i'd bring a packed lunch, just to save a few pennies, but there are meals, which are similar in price with the likes of Harvestors, for kids meals.
One Brucie Bonus,is the Starbucks coffee now being served, but its a pity its not signposted better,as only found this hole in the wall coffee shop,on my exit.

Had a membership for eighteen months today and my daughter loves it!

Easy parking, good food selection and even on a busy day the park copes well.

I've found every staff member I've encountered to be friendly and passionate.

Hope to continue visiting for many years to come.

Nice day out at the park. Entertainment for children with there being the Hello Kitty rides and house. Zoo is small but good animals in there. Although park small has good activities. 3-4 hours is sufficient time to view the hole park aswell as ride the attractions.

Absolutely loved it. Kids enjoyed it too. There are tasks to do so keeps you going. You actually learn quite a lot as you go round. Kids never got bored, never complained once. The adventure playground is just....wow. Its huge. Only thing I will state is just watch your children carefully on one piece of equipment (tall tower with elastic strips in). My daughter had fallen down and it ripped her tooth out. First aid were called and were there in less then 30 seconds. But not the parks fault at all, just lots of children in there. Food was lovely, had jacket potato and was very good priced. Park was clean and there was always someone about if you needed to talk to someone. FOR ONCE the gift shop was not over priced, kids had got some good stuff in there for a good price. Will definitely go again and again

From the minute you walk into the park there is something for everyone to do. There are animals, interactive areas, rides and play areas. I think that the prices are slightly expensive for the day tickets. But overall it's a great family day out

This was our third visit and each time it has been brilliant fun! It's a smallish zoo with all the facilities you could wish for. The keepers are really friendly, passionate and informative feeding time in particular is great! The kids are already asking about the next visit!! Very surprised at some of the negative comments posted - are you sure you were at the same zoo?

I come here at least once a month in all seasons the facilities are clean and all the staff are friendly! The animals are very unique and the animal talks are well spoken even in the rain, a lot of enthusiasm! I would highly recommend coming to this zoo as its one I cannot forget!

We recently went to Drusilla's with our daughter of 13 months. We had the best time and there was so much for her to do and look at. We would definitely recommend Drusilla's as a day out for even very young children.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. All of the animals looked so well cared for and all of the enclosures were spotless!

Thanks Drusilla's we'll definitely be back soon!!

My granddaughter was absolutely enthralled seeing all of the amazing animals at the zoo. Watching the penguins being fed was a particular highlight! Also walking through the lemur enclosure and actually getting to see them up close was brilliant. There were lots of staff around to talk to you about the animals and heaps for the children to do in the play area. We had a good value meal at the Explorer's Cafe. All in all a great day out!

Visiting friends over Easter break, they recommended a visit to this zoo as something my young son & daughter would enjoy. We have visited many zoos with the children and this one has come up trumps with my two - they loved it. I wish it was closer to home so we could visit more often. My daughter loved the raccoons, she keeps on about the fact they eat boiled eggs! The staff were so informative & their interaction with the children was superb. Such happy animals. My son loved the Thomas train too. Will definitely go back. What a great day out! Thank you

What a wonderful time we all had at Drusillas Park with our Grandchildren ages 10yrs and 11yrs. They loved getting up close to the animals feeding them. They also like the area where the birds feed out your hands an sit on your head if you wish them too. The lemurs area is great to see them all jumping around. The best part for me (Nanny) was the Macaques and all monkeys they are so delightful to watch for hours they made us all laugh. The fun park was a great rest for me while the kids got on with enjoying their selves. Then dinner time lovely picnic area or hot food available. Would definitely be returning again soon. Thanks to all the pleasant helpful staff for making our visit special and all your hard work looking after the animals give yourselves a pat on the back. X

We went drusilla during the Christmas period, both my boys enjoyed seeing santa and the reindeers, seeing all the lights at night was fantastic, all the animals looked really well looked after.
Would definitely recommend this place, as stated it's no ordinary zoo with animals, rides a massive play area and yummy food. Great day out

Great fun for children, all the activities and exhibits and animals have been carefully selected to get children's attention and wonder. Playground and train ride also worth a visit. Food could be a bit better quality then that would merit 5 stars!

Having heard good things about Drusillas Park and having read great reviews on trip advisor, we decided to give it a go, especially with the added attraction of Thomas and Friends ride, as we have a toddler with a birthday soon that loves him.

When we got there we were lucky as our son is quite two but couldn't believe the price for a child, when we got in we were however really impressed with what we found, our toddler was engaged from beginning to pretty much the end although Thomas was definitely the highlight of his day.
Pros, great for children, good play areas, easy access to most of the park.

Cons, price at entry, certain areas were not buggy friendly which especially as we also had our four week old was awkward as you can imagine.

The biggest highlight of the day was our toddler seeing Thomas and being able to have two rides on him throughout the day(I hasten to add you can have unlimited rides, however we limited them) and our biggest annoyance of the day was our four week old being denied access to the Thomas ride because he was asleep in his pram and also it was a windy day and we didn't want to take him out from underneath the cover unnecessarily, we asked if we could use the disabled area of the train as it wasn't going to be in use on this particular ride (we waited till last to get on) and was told no, meaning one of us had to wait behind! Not happy.

Other then the issue above we had a good day and would go back again, when our children are older.

After seeing all the animals playground was best thing to enjoy for boys.Play area is a must for children and Thomas train ride was good experience. The only sad moment was to live the Drusillas Park but we will be back soon to enjoy even more

This is a fantastic place to take the kids especially the younger one i would say under 5 however the fact that once they are over two you have to pay an adults price for a child is ridiculous this is the only place i know that charges these prices for children. if you have more then one child it makes the day very expensive. I would think price need to be cut for children maybe to half the price of an adult would make more sense so that more familys can afford to go.

In regards to the park it is a great little zoo and you can have unlimited rides on the tea cups hello kitty and train ride
the play ground is amazing and weather permitted they have a little pool for the kids so take your swimming stuff

We are a family with two boys 3 and 4, we really enjoyed it and the price is worth it for a full day out.
Through the entrance you're streight into the zoo, there are lots of animals jumping and climbing. There are some babies and each animal has an educational element.
There are loads of jungle gyms, the one that concerned me was the older one set back in the right corner. My three year old walked along the bridge part and it broke from the main framework, if it had been higher up which they are I dread to think. It put me on tenterhooks the rest of the time he was climbing about. Luckily there was an employee near by and not long after the dodgy part was cordoned off.
This still made me worry slightly.
The inside play area is good, two areas one for under twos and the bigger bit for older kids. Although my kids had to be careful as when they were coming down the slide parents were sat with a baby at the bottom.
The Thomas train was the highlight of our day, my boys loved every second as did we, another hit was the maze and hello kitty rides.
My sons were a little disappointed that the Thomas shop was closed, but overall a good day.
Well worth the money. - coffee in play area is horrible.

Had a great day visiting on the 21st, with our granddaughters, daughter and s-i-l.. We really enjoyed the well cared for animals in the special environments that have been created for them, learned a bit, from the well informed keepers at feeding time, had great fun in the brilliant play areas (mostly as spectators, but we had a go on a few things 😉), and enjoyed a nice lunch in the restaurant. If our grandchildren are happy, then we are happy---- and they were. Thanks, Drusillas, see you again soon.
[Just one thing I'm curious about.. having read many previous comments, I wonder why the management only reply to reviews that are completely negative, or have a negative in them-- seems a bit defensive to me. How about acknowledging your many visitors who had a great day, and spend time later letting everyone know about it]

Been members for a couple of years and my daughter totally loves Drusillas, she likes learning about the animals, loves the many fact boards, completes the park's books stamping the animals she has seen and attempts the zoo Olympics.

On a wet day we enjoy the indoor softplay area. On a dry there is so much to do outside lots of running around, climbing areas, banana boats, animal sound boxes plus a vast picnic area. Around the picnic area there are cafes, souvenir shops, panning for gold, penguin plunge and dino dig.

There are plenty of age appropriate rides with Thomas the Tank Engine and Hello Kitty Secret Garden.

In the summer months the lagoon is a great place for the children to cool down and splash around.

Plenty of family fun plus more than I have mentioned above. Definitely renewing our membership this year and have booked a 'Penguin Party' for my daughter's 6th birthday treat with friends.

Probably be visiting Drusillas for s few more years yet as always a good fun day out.

For my daughters 6th birthday we treated her to the 'Zookeeper for the day' experience.
I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. What an AMAZING day.
Excellent value for money. "The best day of my life!" my daughter said.
Julie the keeper who we spent the day with was fantastic. She was brilliant with my daughter and incredibly knowledge about the animals. You could see Julie had a real love of animals and her job. From start to finish the day was packed full of activities. You were allowed to be very hands on. My daughter selected food for the animals, weighed it and the cut it all up. She then spent the day feeding and caring for the animals as well as cleaning up their poo!
A truly fantastic day. My daughter was so sad when it was over,

I organised a "penguin" close encounter for my 6 year old as a birthday treat - what a great time he had! The booking process was simple and clear instructions were given beforehand. At our allocated time we were greeted by the lovely Helena, who led us to the penguin enclosure for a behind the scenes tour and feeding session. My son was given lots of information that he was able to understand and had great fun throwing fish from a bucket into the water to the hungry penguins. He learn loads and still talks about it. I would thoroughly recommend this experience at Drusillas.
