It's more of a theme park than a Zoo.it has exotic creatures but lots of animal themed rides. Good if you like theme parks.

Having checked reviews and tips on both Trip Advisor and other sites, I booked our tickets online the day before in order to receive maximum discount. The website is very good and clear on pricing - for a family ticket of various numbers it DOESN'T matter on the combination of a family i.e. three kids and one adult is the same as two adults and two kids and this WILL save you compared to at the gate on the day prices. We had a good run from home, just under an hour but do beware, when not in half term both the M23 and A27 can be busy, so take into account depending on where travelling from. We took the usual packed lunch and bits even though the food and drink prices are significantly lower than other theme parks, it is still an additional cost that can be avoided. We allowed ourselves a hot drink each for the adults and a special for the kids i.e. ice cream or similar. Total cost for two adults & two kids was just under £100 - not bad for a day out in half term! The entry process was swift and we entered into the park. It is VERY well laid out, in such a way that on following the designated routes, you do not miss anything at all, from all the animals and the play areas. Having explored all the animal attractions it was then lunch time so we found the designated picnic areas (clearly marked as the restaurant areas do not like you sitting on their seats) and tucked into lunch. After lunch the kids played in the numerous soft play / adventure areas that were very well constructed and safe - needless to say the kids loved it all! Beware of some of the attractions that need paying for - something I do object to having paid already to enter the park. The majority of the attractions are free of charge i.e. the train, the cheetah and hippo rides, the soft play but there are others needing an additional charge. Being Halloween week, there were some scary bits dotted around, so the little ones need to be aware of this, the boy hated the Mummy wandering around the maze for instance but loved the spooky train ride! After hitting the various gift shops we got away without any serious purchases and then made our way home. Traffic heavier than the morning but to be expected, A sign of a good day is when one of them is snoring in the back so a successful day had by all. Will recommend to all and sundry and look forward to returning. Thank you.

Drusillas is fantastic; ideal mix of exotic and interesting small animals and rides/amusements for young children. We love this place.

This zoo is absolutely perfect for young children. Not too big but big enough to spend the whole day there and for adults to enjoy too. So excellent for young children that they even have baby food at the cafe. You can get up close to the animals and they have the kind of animals that are always visable not hiding so they're easy for the little kids to see. Excellent play area for all ages as well as a water splash area if warm enough. The cafe was nice with hot and cold options and a salad bar again with excellent kids options and even baby food and baby snacks. Lovely day out with a 1 and 3 year old and grandparents as well and all enjoyed it.

We first visited for the raccoon experience which was very good but sadly they do not do it anymore. The layout is perfect exactly what I want when I visit a zoo. A route to follow round that allows you to see everything. I have always hated zoos that branch off leaving you to wonder if you've missed anything and trying to keep track of where you've been and what you've seen. Although that could just be me, liking a more organised set up. But this place is officially the best zoo I have visited, and I've been to a lot of zoos in my time.

At the end of our first visit we decided to upgrade to annual membership as the children really enjoyed it. I was very impressed we could deduct our entry ticket price off the annual membership cost which made it very attractive.

The addition of the kids splash park is fantastic. The mix of seeing the animals, going on the rides, the splash/ water park, adventure playgrounds, eateries works really well. I also like the fact you can go all year round. Seeing Father Christmas last year was great and the presents given were good quality.

I just had a joint birthday party for my children last weekend and I would like to thank Malcolm and the team for putting together a great birthday meal for the kids, with quality food, good variety, friendly & helpful staff and party bags as well as helping with my birthday cake.

I'd thoroughly recommend this children's theme park/ zoo and look forward to returning again soon.

Came here during half term, saw an offer for kids go for £5 when accompanied by a full paying adult. (Offer on to 27th Oct, go via their Facebook page and print off the voucher). We had such a lovely day out here, so much to see and do. Very much aimed for kids under 12 I would say as the rides and attractions quite sweet and tame.

My children enjoyed seeing the variety of animals which all looked well cared for and happy. Loved the interactive displays and opportunity to pet some of the farm animals.

Would definitely recommend a visit. Usual prices are quite high for £22+ adult which makes it an expensive day out but I would say it offers value for money and with the voucher the hit is not so hard.

Wanted to go after 5 trips to Hastings and seeing it in passing! Finally went on Monday and I was a bit dubious of paying the money to get in as i compared it to paultons park and places like that..... well after getting in there it’s safe to say we would go back in a heartbeat!! We paid £42 to get in and it was worth every penny! It was lovely and quiet and although all the rides were on limited opening times it all linked together and once one had finished another opened it was lovely! And because it was quiet my very excited child got to go on most rides more than once!

Thanks drusillas x

This was a fantastic day out and the children learnt so much. The talks on the Maasai and Penguins really enriched the children's learning and they loved dressing up. The sessions were delivered by James in a very accessible manner and he responds positively to the children, helping them to feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding.
The Zoo itself was amazing and we saw feeding sessions, had animal encounters and learnt a lot (as well as having a great time in the play area) . This was a lovely, safe and stimulating day out for the children. Easy to book and well organised. we will definitely be back!

Visited here for the first time in I'd say at least three years today and absolutely adored it!!! Spent about 3 hours here, was great to see the Macaques and Penguins having breakfast and the little Rockhopper Penguin really is something special and such a character!! As you can see from my photos it was absolute photography heaven for me - I love how closely you can get to the animals while still letting them be happy in their own natural environment. Definitely be returning here and would highly recommend it to people of all ages.

We went to Drusillas for our 6 year olds birthday. We had such a good day! The park is well though out, clean and tidy. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her book of animals that she got to stamp after she saw them, we thought it was a very nice touch and keeps the little ones occupied.
Our son is autistic and we were granted an access pass which enabled him to be able to enjoy the rides instead of the park overwhelming him into meltdowns and ruining his time here. They were very accommodating for my son and he was included in our day instead of feeling like a tag a long.
We had food here too which was adequate for the prices charged. The playground is very good too. There is a very good amount of things to see at this park and while this was our first visit, we don't know why we didn't come sooner and will definitely visit again! Would highly recommend to anyone :)

Visited with our two boys (8 & 6) as a treat for the formers birthday.

Our last visit here was 2-3 years ago and I recall then they were building a new "Hello Kitty" feature area.

At £68 (booking online v £76 if you pay at the door) it's not a cheap day out. We brought a picnic along but still spent £30 onsite on food/drink and the customary gifts for the boys.

The zoo part is well laid out and has a good selection of animals with some unique ones. There's a really good outdoor play area (we didn't have time to check out the indoor one) and now with the Safari and Hello Kitty feature which include five free rides quite a few things for the kids (and grown ups) to entertain themselves on.

My only gripe is that there is a charge for a few of the activities such as panning for gold and the bouncy slide still especially considering the level of the entry fee. We

Overall it's reasonable value and can easily fill out a day and great when the weather is reasonable.

Quite simply one of the best family/kids attractions about. The park is well maintained, and well signposted. All the animals look fit and healthy. There’s a superb array of activities for a variety of ages and interests including the animals, the play park, superb soft play and mini-train. We spent over four hours but we easily could have had another couple. A thing which noticeable too is that all the staff here and friendly and helpful – they clearly care who they hire.

I’ve read some of the comments here that Drusilas is expensive. For a family of three it cost us £38. Now whilst this perhaps isn’t cheap the value for money it represents is sensational when you consider the on-the-door price at Legoland is £45 – and I know where I’d rather go. We choice to eat in one of the cafés which was expensive, but that’s par for the course in a place like this and our own fault for not bringing our own food.

This was a place of my childhood and it’s got better! I highly recommend Drusillas Park.

First time I've been here and wasn't disappointed...

The zoo itself is quite small, and basically you follow a path around the zoo taking in all the animals. Its well laid out with good facilities and makes for a day day out with the family.
