We've been here a few times before, usually in the summer and the kids love it. A bit of everything - zoo, great parks, Thomas train, & now the Hello Kitty garden with rides. We went today for the Winter Wonderland and it was brilliant. Santa was great & interacted well with the kids (so did the elves and Mrs Claus). Kids loved the reindeer and huskies. We headed straight to the grotto as soon as the park opened, would recommend this as when we passed later in the day the queue was huge. We spent 7hrs there so plenty to keep the kids entertained! Light show was good, although don't expect anything more than the lights flashing on and off to the music, was very effective though and felt very festive. Not a cheap day out - £70 for a family of 4 with the Santa visit (cheaper to book tickets online but you have to book Santa tickets when you get there). Worth every penny though, definitely the best Christmas experience we have been to - something for everyone!

Firstly yes what a great father Christmas, but what a great zoo.

We saw so many people rush though going to see the Reindeer and huskys which are there for Christmas, but they missed so great attractions and animals.

I advise any body going to take there time and look around both our girls loved it 8 and 2 year old there are so many things for them to do.

The staff were great even thought they all looked colder than the penguins very helpful and friendly.

Really worth the entry cost though pre book online to save some money. If you get the chance to get here before Christmas do as they have a wonderful Santa!

A great time and visit had by all and we will definitely be going again in the new year!

Good value for money wish we had got there earlier as so much to do and for nearly half the price of parks with fewer attractions. Great place for all ages

It is begrudgingly I am leaving a 3 star review as whilst the majority of my day was excellent, it was marred by a couple of factors.

We visited on Sunday 7 December, and using our annual passes took advantage of the £6 off to meet Father Christmas.

The experience was fantastic, the elf on the door and Mrs Christmas were both very friendly and welcoming. FC was also brilliant - he interacted well with my 3 year old daughter and had a very authentic beard.

The present of a cuddly Rudolf reindeer was excellent, my daughter and her friend were overjoyed. I am so pleased Drusillas give out 'gender neutral' toys and do not buy into the pink rubbish for girls and dinosaurs for boys that so many places do.

The park was reasonable quiet, which made for an excellent day as there was little or no queuing for the Hello Kitty rides. We were disappointed the hopper was not working though. The sign said every effort was being made to fix it but there was no one working on it the whole time we were there (10am-2.30pm).

Our day was also spoilt slightly by the attitude of the girl in the donut shop. She huffed when I enquired about allergy information and when my friend asked to have 3 donuts (as it was a good deal) instead of two the girl slammed the receipt down on the counter and then did not make eye contact and made us feel vey uncomfortable.

I would appreciate a rely to this review.

Visited after school today, we have passes so only had to pay to see santa £6 per child.
Had to que for a bit but we seemed to move quickly. The welcoming elf was lovely and chatty great with all ages. Santa was fab girls very happy with their gifts. As we left the girls agreed he was the real santa as there was no string to his beard lol

We had an amazing day at Drusilla's. My daughter loves Hello Kitty so thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and playing in her Secret Garden. A visit to her pamper studio did not break the bank either! The activity books you pick up at the beginning for spotting the animals, keeps the children focussed as they are looking around and they enjoyed doing the activities. The whole park provides lots of interactive activities for the children and appears to have thought of everything! We enjoyed our ride on Thomas and seeing his other friends as we walked around, as well as seeing the animals living on Tellytubby Island. A bonus for us was going on the day the Christmas lights were switched on by Hello Kitty. The display and the show was fantastic. The staff at Drusilla's were all very friendly- appearing to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone had a fun day.
It truly was a fantastic day out and I would highly recommend it for young (and young at heart) families!
Thank-you Drusilla's!!!

Recently we had an extremely enjoyable day out at Drusillas for our daughter's birthday - what great fun!

The park is immacualte and was perfectly laid out to enable us to get the most out of it + take in all animals and attractions - Lunch with the lemurs was particularly amazing and had my daughter in fits of laughter!

Staff were lovely, and more than happy to help out/run through animal bios. Food + shops were also excellent, and Hello Kitty World is a great addition to an already fun-packed day out.

I actually used to go there when I was a child and it is really impressive to see how much the park has developed and grown over the years to entertain modern kids' needs.

All in all a really fun day out, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We visited Drusillas on a very cold winter morning and were happy to grab a delicious gingerbread Starbucks coffee from the cafe to keep us warm before we worked our way around the zoo with my little nephew.

All aspects of Drusillas are cleverly designed to maintain the attention of people of all ages. From Henrietta Hen’s dancing in her pen with her pals to the singing monkey’s rendition of some Lion King classics, there were so many reasons for us to stay at the park for hours longer than we had planned!

For those with a competitive streak there are plenty of activities to test your abilities- my boyfriend was particularly disappointed to find out his strength doesn’t equate to that of a cart pulling horse and he can’t even shout as loud as a hyena! Our favourite animals were the penguins who were all very happy to show off in front of my giggly nephew who loved their friendly ‘waving’.

After lots of fun we decided to grab something to eat in the zoo cafe which was suitably designed with lots of safari styled decorations creating a fun and warm atmosphere. Food was delicious and staff all friendly, helpful and efficient.

Refuelled, we were ready for the grand finale- a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. Thankfully the controller spotted us sprinting to catch the last train and stopped Thomas from steaming off without us. The ride takes you around the zoo and gives you a great view of the llamas- a great end to the best day!

An amazing day out for my sons 8th birthday treat. Julie the keeper was brilliant with him all day, my son has some behavioural special needs and can be quite hard going!! She was very patient and didn't seem to mind repeating herself a few times!
The experiences with the animals were fantastic, ad he is already askin when he can do it again. When I was reading on here before that people had done it several times I was a bit surprised, but I can now totally see why!! There is no doubt I will be booking another one for my son. Totally recommend.

As members of drusillas we go on a pretty regular basis and the kids thoroughly enjoy themselves every time! There is so much to do that they could never get bored and as we usually visit for a 2-3 hour trip we usually concentrate on a different part of the park each time. It is pricey but it is a proper whole day out, not something that you could walk round in an hour or so like some places. Young and older children alike will love it!

To celebrate my daughters birthday we came here for the day!! She is 3 and she loved it - all the animals! Myself, partner and mum joined my daughter with her first experience of a zoo! Us adults enjoyed it just as much! There are a lot of animals to see! There are several play parks which even us adults enjoyed! It really is a good day out - we spent 5hours there so we got our money's worth!!!! I would go again!

We visited Drusilla's in late September with our little boy who had recently turned 2. We were very impressed that it is very thoughtfully designed with younger children in mind. It has a very friendly atmosphere and is just the right size with more than enough to keep little children entertained for a good half day or more. The play area in the centre is quite impressive with the number of climbing frames and slides but our little man was a bit too young for these. Our little man is obsessed with Thomas and loved the train and the driving the Hello Kitty cars.

If your wondering to buy this for a present or buy it for yourself, DO IT!!

I can honestly say that it was one of the most amazing days of my life. Carla, my zoo keeper for the day was just amazing. She knew everything you could ever dream of knowing about the animals and their well being. I never felt like I couldn't ask anything about the animals. However silly it was. Carla was very welcoming and kind. A true asset to the Zoo!!!

From meerkats to penguins to snakes, you met everything! It was such an experience. Obviously you get your hands a bit mucky getting involved with clearing up poo and making meals for the animals. But of course this is what's expected at a zoo and being a zoo keeper!

I think the best moment of the day was visiting the meerkats and actually getting in with them. Carla and I were busy cleaning up there home when 3 or 4 decided to get in the bin bags and rummage for food!! And also feeding the Beavers by hand, whilst having a very muddy cuddle doing so! Now that is an experience I will never forget! And this is what it's all about. I will never forget this day and I will in future buy these packages as presents for friends and family.

Thankyou Carla and Drusillas for an amazing day. Hope to see you all soon! Poppy

My daughter and I spent the day with one of the zoo keepers and had a wonderful time. We had first hand experience behind the scenes and helped to prepare food and feed some of the animals, clean out some pens and actually hold some reptiles. We were there from 10.00am until 3.30pm with a 45 minute lunch break and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in animals.

I went in October half term with my husband and 5 year old daughter and we had a brilliant day out. We spent about 5 hours at the zoo and were busy the whole time. The range of small animals they have is great and there are lots of interactive things for the kids (and adults) to do on the way round the park, including a book to stamp when you have seen certain animals. The outdoor play areas were great and suitable for all ages. My daughter especially loved the thomas train and hello kitty's secret garden. The rides were brilliant and there wasn't a very long queue at all considering it was half term. They let the adults go on too which my daughter loved. It was really reasonably priced and I would highly recommend it to other families with children of all ages.

Great day out we came on 31st October. Weather was lovely. Spent the whole day there. Had a wonderful day, a wide range of animals to see, stroke in the farm. Great play area for children of all ages. Managed to loose the nephew for a couple of hours. He was so happy playing with other children that were there also. Halloween parts were very well done. Though was disappointed with the spooky house. Thought there would have been more in the and bigger. Seemed to take 10 seconds to walk through it. But all in all a great day. Would also recommend the feeding of the birds was amazing!

My 8 year old daughter was bought a "Zoo Keeper for the day" by a very lovely Aunty! She absolutely loved every minute of it. Sophie who was taking her around was great. She learned a lot about the animals, really enjoyed her time, especially with the Penguins. I would highly recommend this to anyone with kids who are animal lovers, we would book again in the future, great value for a lovely day out.

Went here for the second time at the weekend. The children - 3 and 4 - loved it, there's a great zoo, rides which are just right for their age, 6 hours passed very happily and it never seems too crowded. Will definitely be back in 2015.

Lovely zoo, big play area for all ages, great activities for the kids to keep their attention. Thomas the tank engine is a bonus. There is indoor play area too. You are led on a trail through the zoo first, which can take a while (but is good), if you look at the map, you can go to the play area first and the zoo after when it is a little quieter.

We visited here on 30/10/14. 2 adults & 2 children (4 & 10). We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would definitely return again & recommend to others.

The park is well laid out and has a clear route unlike others where you miss loads of animals and/or get lost! The selection of animals was brilliant and the enclosures were nice, large & clean.

The little touches such as the loft the flap facts, Olympic challenges & African village with real life mud hut were great. Both kids were kept entertained for the day. The spot the animal & stamp stations were a good way to keep the children entertained while offering opportunities for them to learn.

We enjoyed the bird feeding enclosure and thought it was a great experience for the family to get up close with the animals also the monkey enclosure. We got some fab photos while here.

The Halloween theme was around the park including the Thomas train ride! We didn't go into the scare building as we wasn't that brave but we did find the Mummy in the maze!

The rides & parks were also very good.

Overall the park has much to offer all ages and keeps the family entertained & educated! We will defiantly be back! :-)

I visited Drusillas yesterday with my daughter & 4 year old granddaughter, we all had an amazing day, the animals are lovely but my granddaughter was very impressed with the soft play area & this was the perfect time for me & my daughter to relax with a hot chocolate. We also enjoyed the rides in the Hello Kitty garden & the ride on Thomas the tank engine. Would defiantly recommend here for families.
