The park was excellent we went there to view it before bringing all the children and the rest of the adults and it was amazing I'm really looking forward to bringing the children there, everywhere you go there is a fun little activity for the children to keep them engaged and interested, bathroom facilities are also spread out around the park, the play area for children is massive and very well made, the food area was lovely with a wide range of choices to choose from we picked to eat at the explorers cafe and the food was delicious aswell as the service being wonderful, I also loved the fact there is a short cut to the food court which means if the children are getting restless you can go eat or get a ice cream and then go back and continue, we went Into the shops which where well organised and bought a few bits but unlike some parks you can avoid the shops if you like without an argument with the children wanting items, we really enjoyed the day and can't wait to return, well worth the money and travel thank you for the great day.

We have had annual passes for Drusilla's twice and if you're local it is worth the money.

There's lots of animals to see and while there are perhaps a few enclosures that could use updating, they are by and large very good and the animals seem well cared for. They do make a big effort each year to make updates to the animals' enclosures and the attractions. The talks are interesting and worth catching if you can and it's a good idea to make sure you've got a pound for everybody in the party so that you can feed the lorikeets.

Once you've seen the animals there is a lot for the kids to do: 2 outdoor playgrounds for differing ages, a water playground that has fountains and water canons, a great indoor soft play that is cleaner than most I've seen and then there's the rides. Drusilla's have just introduced 2 new safari based rides and the safari train that goes around the park. This is in addition to the Hello Kitty rides that they already had. All in all there are 5 different rides that are fantastic for kids (and the grown-ups too).

There are additional paid-for activities: climbing wall, panning for gold, inflatable slide and fossil digging. I believe that you pay 1 additional price at the gate that gives you access to all of these, but we haven't done this due to the children's age.

There are 2 different cafe's, as well as some lighter snacks at the soft play. The food is decent for a tourist attraction, there is Starbucks coffee and even a small selection of alcoholic beverages.

Overall you can spend the whole day here and it is good value for money.

We had a great day at Drusillas, we went with our 12 year old and nearly 2 year old. It wasn't too big, there was things for all ages. I loved the steps to toddlers could see into enclosures and the toddler toilet seats.

The kids had great fun, and we had a rest at the end while they played on the park.

Would without a doubt love to go here again.

Visited with our two children (2 and a half and 11 weeks) and had a great day! Staff very friendly and took time to show my son the animals that he couldnt spot. Easy layout to follow and to get the pram around. Son loved the splash pad and playground.

We used clubcard vouchers as it worked out quite expensive without but after visiting, we would pay the full price to visit again!

We have visited many times over the past 3 years, and normally take a picnic. However as the weather has been so hot recently we decided we would get something there. We ate in the children's playground area , my husband had the chicken burger and I had the chicken nuggets. I must say they were the best chicken nuggets I have ever eaten, you could tell they were real chicken ,my husband said the burger was a chicken fillet. We went with our 2 grown up daughters and 2 grandchildren they also agreed that the food was lovely. We meant to ask the girl on the way out who's nuggets they were.
Also I use a mobility scooter and when we got there my husband discovered he had forgotten to put the battery in the car. He was going to go home and get it (140 mile round trip ) my daughter said don't be silly dad let's see if they can do anything to help us, and indeed they did, they had a wheelchair we could hire ,( for a deposit which we got back when we retuned it ) so technically it was free . Shame it wasn't a scooter but you don't look a gift horse ......
As for the zoo, a lovely collection of smaller animals, some of which I haven't seen in any of the bigger zoos, and lots of information about them
The children's play area is second to none especially the new rides. And the water park is just the right size , no matter where you are sitting within that area you can see your child, which is a lot better than some other places. One of my daughters forgot her 11 year olds swimwear but the shop had a swimsuit ( £6.99 ) and a towel around the same price. Which I think was fantastic value.
All in all a very good day, even better if you use Tesco vouchers. The only complaint I would have is the price of admission for under 5s. I do think that should be reduced We were fortunate as our little one won't be 2 till next week which is why we went today , because the next time we go we will have to pay full adult price for her.
Whatever you are doing keep on doing it, it works !!!!!

Had a great time here. Love the fact they've moved the water park into the play area. Still a wonderful selection of play equipment for kids.

Lots of types of animals to see, but some enclosures feel a little small...The goats particularly looked too big for their small enclosure.

Sad thomas has home...The safari express feels dull in comparison. The only animal you see on the journey is a camel.

Good day out overall.

Our Rainbow Unit had a lovely day at Drusillas celebrating the 30th birthday of when the Rainbows started within Girlguiding on Saturday 1st July 2017. The Rainbows enjoyed seeing all the animals, playing in the Hello Kitty Secret Garden, Go Wild, Go Bananas, Go Safari, Get wet, Hippopotobus, Flying cheetahs and the Express train. We had the perfect day weather wise, not too hot, but dry and warm enough for the Rainbows to use the Get Wet splash area.

We had our dinner and tea in your restaurant and the staff and food were excellent. I would definitely recommend Drusillas as a place for a uniform unit to visit for a fun day out at a reasonable price.

I visited here with family and we had the most spectacular day. So much to see and learn - if you have children with you I feel that adults would want to visit again so that they can spend time learning about the history of the zoo. The animals were close to us but had the most amazing and natural habitats for the animals it was almost like they were not being kept in a zoo. I will definitely visit again.

What a fantastic, interesting, relaxing, fun filled day out. Yes it is expensive at the gate, but there was no dipping in to the pocket for rides every five minutes. We spent an hour or so at the water area, lots of friends made by our son. What most impressed me was the clever use of space, well done guys! Staff were great, most of them are quite young, but they do an impressive job, we went on all the rides and all those guys did every single safety check you can imagine, before the ride set off, as a mom, thank you. Food.....may I recommend the explorers lounge/ cafe, we didn't eat there, but wished we had when we popped in for a couple of drinks on the way out and a sizzling hot freshly made lasagne wafted by us and I had the urge to become a career lasagne thief for a moment! When you're checking out the admission prices and thinking that's waaaaay too much, remember it's mostly an open park, relax, chill out and have fun with your kids

Expensive but good value for money as there were no charges for the rides and attractions. A packed lunch would save money too.

It might feel pricey, but its worth the spend in comparisob to other pay for entry parks and attractions. Its not for older teens, unless they love animals, as the rides are geared for younger guests.
Up to 13/14 is great for any age, my kids were 18 months and 10 years old and they love it....it obviously helps if the weather is nice as alot is outdoors.
Bring a picnic as lots of space and facilities to picnic....and food options are pricey and not wonderful quality, think harvester kids menu standard.

We were lucky to be able to go on a school inset day, so it was quiet. Loved the children activities, very well thought out, educational and fun! the children thought they were at a zoo, then it turned in to an adventure play ground then just as it started getting even move exciting rides appeared! I would say best ages to visit 4 years (over 90cm) to 9 years. However it's educational for all ages and so much better that other parks.

Took my great grandson here today and was not the most enjoyable day out.
It cost us £95 for four adults and the grandson. The animals were fine but some of the equipment was unsuitable for him he is 41/2 years of age. The most annoying problem was while some of the rides are included with the entrance fee others were not. This to me defeats the object of going to an attraction like this. It would be better to put another £1 or so on the admission price and make everything free. The food while not overly expensive was not the best.

We have had an annual ticket for here for almost a year and it has more then paid for itself. We frequently broke up trips to grandparents house with this park.

There are lots of things to do, rides for all ages, soft play, animals of course, a Lemur walk through, an adventure playground, a shop plus a thomas shop as the train used to be done up like thomas the tank engine which all kids love. Unfortunately they couldn't keep the thomas train but it is now a safari train which takes visitors around the park.

A very comfortable day out and would highly recommend is passing or not too far to travel.

Visited here yesterday with my wife and daughter. Really well thought out, loads to do and caters for all age ranges. My 2 year old daughter loved it, her only disappointment being that I wouldn't let her go on some of the larger slides in the play park area! Will definitely be back and would recommend. Great value for money!

Did a Red Panda feeding experience which was wonderful. The keeper was very interesting to talk to and when we got chatting he did not clock watch and so had an extra 10 mins.

Zoo park for kids from 5 to12 years

The entrance price was a bit of a hit on our wallets, but it compares very well to prices at similar attractions. Our visit was in early/mid June, so there weren't so many school-age children around. The timing of the visit was perfect as the zoo wasn't super-busy and it gave our two-year-old the chance to explore and to actually see the animals. While the zoo didn't have such a wide range of species as our local zoo in Norway, we felt the range and the scale of zoo was about right for a toddler. The marked trail around the park, which other reviewers felt was restrictive was actually ideal for a small child with a short attention span. Our only criticism was that it made it a bit difficult to get to see feeding times on time as you had to retrace your steps or rush ahead bit. The rides were also very appropriate for a younger child and the little one got a chance to go on his favourite ones several times over. (What a contrast to our trip to Legoland last year, which offered very little to entertain a toddler, had horrendous queues and was very expensive). The food on offer was nothing to write home about, but it suited our needs very well. All in all we would go back again at the same time next year.
