We were lucky to be able to go on a school inset day, so it was quiet. Loved the children activities, very well thought out, educational and fun! the children thought they were at a zoo, then it turned in to an adventure play ground then just as it started getting even move exciting rides appeared! I would say best ages to visit 4 years (over 90cm) to 9 years. However it's educational for all ages and so much better that other parks.

Took my great grandson here today and was not the most enjoyable day out.
It cost us £95 for four adults and the grandson. The animals were fine but some of the equipment was unsuitable for him he is 41/2 years of age. The most annoying problem was while some of the rides are included with the entrance fee others were not. This to me defeats the object of going to an attraction like this. It would be better to put another £1 or so on the admission price and make everything free. The food while not overly expensive was not the best.

We have had an annual ticket for here for almost a year and it has more then paid for itself. We frequently broke up trips to grandparents house with this park.

There are lots of things to do, rides for all ages, soft play, animals of course, a Lemur walk through, an adventure playground, a shop plus a thomas shop as the train used to be done up like thomas the tank engine which all kids love. Unfortunately they couldn't keep the thomas train but it is now a safari train which takes visitors around the park.

A very comfortable day out and would highly recommend is passing or not too far to travel.

Visited here yesterday with my wife and daughter. Really well thought out, loads to do and caters for all age ranges. My 2 year old daughter loved it, her only disappointment being that I wouldn't let her go on some of the larger slides in the play park area! Will definitely be back and would recommend. Great value for money!

Did a Red Panda feeding experience which was wonderful. The keeper was very interesting to talk to and when we got chatting he did not clock watch and so had an extra 10 mins.

The entrance price was a bit of a hit on our wallets, but it compares very well to prices at similar attractions. Our visit was in early/mid June, so there weren't so many school-age children around. The timing of the visit was perfect as the zoo wasn't super-busy and it gave our two-year-old the chance to explore and to actually see the animals. While the zoo didn't have such a wide range of species as our local zoo in Norway, we felt the range and the scale of zoo was about right for a toddler. The marked trail around the park, which other reviewers felt was restrictive was actually ideal for a small child with a short attention span. Our only criticism was that it made it a bit difficult to get to see feeding times on time as you had to retrace your steps or rush ahead bit. The rides were also very appropriate for a younger child and the little one got a chance to go on his favourite ones several times over. (What a contrast to our trip to Legoland last year, which offered very little to entertain a toddler, had horrendous queues and was very expensive). The food on offer was nothing to write home about, but it suited our needs very well. All in all we would go back again at the same time next year.

We had an excellent day at Drusillas - grandparents, parents and five children aged between 8 and 2. The interest starts just ahead of admission with things to do via the 'Zoolympics Challenge' and an 'Animal Spotter Book' for the little ones to stamp. Lots of interesting areas to interact with.

Once we had seen all the animals, including some I have never heard of before, the children were able to let off their energy in the play park and wet play areas. All very good, although a little crowded.

My only disappoint was the lack of watering points, with absolutely none in the general picnic area. Long walks to and fro on a very hot day.

Also, paying £3 each for the little ones to hunt for dinosaur remains with a small cheap toy as a reward was a bit far fetched, especially when they were asked to hide the bits they found afterwards. Even though they enjoyed the experience, it cost a lot for very little. Didn't attempt the Penguin Plunge as this was way too expensive for several children.

Thought the afternoon train driver was very polite, contentious and helpful.

Yeah good for a day out especially if you make full use of the play bits after seeing the animals. A bit of a shame about the state/numbers of parakeets in the walk through enclosure these days, used to be a big part of the reason for going but in a bit of a sorry state now. Can be expensive if you don't have a voucher/get a group discount.

Spent the day here on 18th June. We went as a family including my 6 year old grandchild. This is a lovely place where you can easily spend a good whole day. Lots of small animals to see. There are plenty of rides for children and adults and we managed to get onto all of them. My granddaughter absolutely loved Hello Kitty Secret Garden and as it was so hot it was perfect to spend the afternoon in the Get Wet water park. There is just so much for children and adults to do. Plenty of eating places as well as plenty of picnic areas for those who want to take their own food. Was impressed with how clean it all is and how friendly the staff are.

This park advertises itself as a place for children, however it is far more than that. Anyone, any age would find this park absolutely fantastic.
It is wonderfully kept and maintained and has a huge variety of small animals and birds, from those you would keep as pets, to farm animals and many many other animals from around the world.
It i primarily geared up for children and has large fun areas for them, as well as all the animals to see, but it is equally as interesting and enjoyable for adults even if you do not have children with you.
It was a wonderful and fully worthwhile and enjoyable place to visit.

We would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I used to visit here as a child so decided to take my 16 month old son. A great place for kids of all ages, loads of animals to see (some if never seen before) and a huge amount of play areas. My son is a little small for most of the play equipment but the children using it looked happy. The animals all looked in good condition and well looked after. Toilets were plentiful and clean. Restaurant was a little pricey but in line with other attractions, we were actually surprised by the excellent quality of the food and service as usually attractions lack good food, however this was excellent. My son enjoyed the rides in the hello kitty area and the train ride. The only thing that we found a little annoying was when buying our tickets were asked how old our son was them again asked for his date of birth, the way the woman spoke was a bit like she was accusing us of lying that our son was under 2. I do think it's a bit wrong to charge for kids under 5,makes an very expensive day out. The whole day cost us around £70 (entry for 2 adults, lunch and ice cream) which although affordable for us I do think is a lot, especially for a family of 4.

A day trip to Drusillas Park was a birthday gift to my wonderful grand-daughter, as her interest & love of animals is inexhaustible. Even though she's only just 6, she's already decided she wants to be a vet. I booked the Meerkat encounter, although any of the listed encounters would have appealed to my grand-daughter. The start of the afternoon proved a great success - a visit to the kitchens were all the animals meals are prepared. She was absolutely fascinated to be told all about the animals diets, but the highlight was a chance to go into the big freezer that housed all the small whole frozen animals. Not for the squeamish, but a high point for an interested 6 year old! Then the zoo-keeper took us into the meerkat enclosure. She explained in detail all about the meerkat hierarchy, about their country of origin, their lifestyle and, most importantly, let my grand-daughter feed them. They climbed all over the excited little girl and she was utterly joyous!!! The whole experience of Drusillas Park was wonderful and one which we will remember for a long, long time.

My Daughter bought me a "Penguin Feeding Voucher" for my Birthday which was a lovely surprise. The day was fantastic-my Husband and myself got to Drusillas early so we could look around the Park. Amazing place, the animals were all so interesting especially the tiny Monkeys and Lemurs.
Feeding the Penguins was a delight and I would recommend this experience. Not only was it fun, it was interesting to learn all about the Penguins from their Keeper Gabby and to see their 'boxes' or little houses they lived in.Gabby was very knowlegable and friendly and you could see how much she loved the Penguins.
I especially liked the Rock Hopper with the bright orangie/yellow coloured eyebrows.
Well worth a visit, so much to see and an amazing place for children with a little train that went round the park and an adventure playground which was amazing.
We also enjoyed hot dogs and burgers in one of the many restaurants/cafes!

I took my grandchildren, ages ranging from 6 months to 11 years. Was quite expensive to get in and I was worried that it wouldn't be good value...however I was wrong! The weather was very kind to us. We started by going round the zoo. There were lots to see and lots of little interactive bits for the middle 2 grandchildren to do. We are in the cafe, not bad value and good quality food. The children then had a play in the park before going to the splash park. Before heading home we went into the hello kitty secret garden for the children to have a go on the rides. We all have an absolutely fabulous day and will defiantly go back.

I cannot rate our day out at Drusillas highly enough. We've been a couple of times before and have always loved it - it's so interactive, fun and educational, that there's something for everyone (all ages) and you can't help but have an amazing time.

We splurged and treated my wild-life mad 6 year old daughter to an interactive experience with the meerkats. She ABSOLUTELY loved it (she said it was the best day of her life!) and meeting the keepers, seeing behind the scenes and going into the meerkat enclosure was an experience that will stay with her forever.
A top day out to one of the best family attractions in the UK.

This was a brilliant day out. Well laid out, lots to see and do. Very informative as well as being fun and interactive. The kids loved it. Food was great and plenty of choice. Brilliant play areas. I just wish we lived closer so that we could go more often.

Gates open and park opens at 10am buy rides not til 11am which is really strange. Staff didn't seem ready for park opening at 10am. Play areas are superb and the zoo is brilliant for kids with lots of interesting animals to see. Rides are really for under 8's so please don't expect any white knuckle rides! Lovely day and will go back! Expensive entry but we used Tesco Clubcard points to pay which was brilliant value.

I have been coming here for a while, and it has changed lots! Loads of great new rides and although it is ideal for young children, I still enjoyed it! The shops are great and the animals are all happy and well cared for. At most zoos the cages are too small, but at Drusilla's there was not one animal that looked sad or had a cage that was too small. I recommend it.
