We went to visit Santa and his snow huskies last weekend, which was a huge delight for my daughter and son ages 2 and 3. There is so much to do and see. I adored the marmosets, they made the children giggle alot. It's nice to educate the children on the way round as their is a wealth of information with regards to the animals. The highlight had to be Santa obviously for this time of year, they both were given cuddly husky toys which they will not part with. Hugely generous and the best gift we have ever been given from a Santa trip, we keep getting asked where we got them and I am only to glad to tell people. My son absolutely loves the Thomas train and my daughter was smitten with the huskies themselves, she would not leave them alone and they were very gentle and patient with her. The staff are very friendly and after an adventurous day exploring with the children my husband and I enjoyed a very nice meal there. Everything is so well priced, so it's not daunting when the children run ahead into the gift shop, I actually picked up a few Christmas presents along the way. We enjoyed our family day immensely and can't wait to re-visit, especially in the Summer months as you can take a picnic and let the children swim,

Instead of a birthday present and party our family clubbed together for our 6 year old to be keeper for the day at Drusillas as she is animal mad. The whole day was such a magical experience both for my daughter and myself. We spent time with a huge range of animals, preparing their food and feeding and cleaning their enclosures. My daughter had meerkats on her lap, lemurs jumping over her head and snakes wrapped round her to name but a few of our amazing experiences. Couldn't rate this highly enough. We will be back!

I visited with an elderly relative, who found it easy to get around the park, and I really enjoyed everything the park had to offer. The animals were well cared for, and the staff were friendly and happy to chat about the animals. They seemed genuinely concerned about the creatures, which is sadly rare in animal workers I find. There were many animals that I hadn't seen before, especially not up close, like the binturong, and the sloth. They were fantastic, and the enrichment for the animals seemed to be to a much higher standard than any zoo I've ever seen. They had coffees and ice creams, which kept my elderly cousin entertained, wifi and ample parking. Top day.

We visited Drusillas last weekend with our 10 and 14 year old. We used to be annual members when the children were small, but hadn't visited in a while, since letting the membership lapse. The girls spent quite a while looking around the animals and taking part in the Zoolympics Challenge on the way round. A highlight of our visit was the time spent in Lory's Landing where the girls loved feeding the birds with a pot of nectar so the birds sat on their hands to eat it. Both the indoor and outdoor playareas kept the girls occupied for a long time. The Winter Wonderland display looked beautiful, even though we didn't wait around until 4.30pm when it was illuminated. The girls loved visiting the Husky in the 'Ice Cave', and it was good to see there was no extra charge for this. There was a long queue for visiting Father Christmas all the time we were there but we didn't pay for this optional extra at £5/child. Drusillas has always been a great day out for the family and it continues to be so, but if you are paying the individual entry price of £16.99 you really want to make it a full day out.

We have been here several times with the children, always an enjoyable day all round. For all ages, our children are aged 1-15 and there's something for all of them.
I think the food is overpriced for what you get in the restaurant but the kids always eat what's there and it has improved in choice over the years.
We always know we'll have a great day at Drusillas, and love it when there are new babies to see when we visit.

My wife and I took our nephew to Drusillas for the opening of their "winter wonderland". We had an absolutely fantastic day. First up, the park itself is brilliant. My nephew is 6 and there is so much engagement and interaction for him. He loved using his "spotter book" and we all had fun doing the Zoo-Olympics. There's a great variety of animals and all of the enclosures were excellent. He especially liked the Leemur's walk through enclosure. The adventure playground was very well done and we enjoyed a good meal (pizza and pasta) in one of the restaurants. The highlight of the day was most definitely the winter wonderland. Meeting the huskies was great, father Christmas was extremely well done (excellent "grotto") and the light display was "magical". We even managed to squeeze in a ride on Thomas. Over all a fantastic day out and a great "Christmas treat" for kids. Highly recommend

My 8 year old daughter received this experience as a birthday gift, and she had "the best day ever". I was expecting a small group of "keepers", but this is a one on one experience with a Drusilla's keeper, which made the whole thing even more personal. G couldn't wait to fill in the comments form she was given at the end of the day, she wanted to let her keeper know what a fantastic day she had spent at Drusilla's. G also got to keep her Keeper for The Day sweatshirt, which has been worn nearly every day since she visited. The worst part of the day apparently was lunch time, when she had to leave her duties for 1 hour! Brilliant gift idea for children, G can't wait to do it again.

My husband got me the Keeper for a Day experience which was so much fun and a day I will never forget. I spend the day shadowing a keeper and got to feed and clean the enclosures of the meerkats, lemurs, capybaras, racoons, bats and many more. Drisilla' sis a lovely zoo and all the animals seem really well cared for. I would recommend the day for all ages.

I never complete review sites but thought I must leave feedback about the wonderful day my daughter had on Friday (29th November) when she was keeper for the day. She said as we were leaving that it was 'the best day of her life' and that she would like to do the same thing next year as her birthday treat. When I asked her what she had enjoyed most she listed all of the animal experiences she had had throughout the day. She really loved being with her zoo keeper Claire, who answered all of my daughters never ending questions, helped her grow in confidence when meeting new animals and was extremely friendly, fun and informative throughout the day. The other keepers we bumped into in the back stage areas were also very friendly and the atmosphere in these areas was very welcoming. So I highly recommend the experience if you want your child to have a truly memorable time and if your like me and your child is under 10 you get to have a fabulous day too accompanying them throughout their experience.

We had a great day out with our two little granddaughters aged 5 & 3yrs. There was plenty for them to see and do and much to interest us as well. They loved most of the animals and liked the farmyard section particularly. They also liked the singing animals and could have spent far longer than the twenty minutes we allowed them pressing all the 'music ' buttons. The Oasis café provided us with just what they wanted especially the child sized ice creams. Go Bananas was also a great success. Very good value for money.

My parents took my son to participate in the Zoo Keeper for the Day on Saturday. Julie from Drucillas provided outstanding care and attention during the whole day. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant, and made him feel valued and important all day long. Being with a child you don't know can't be easy, but Julie chatted away all day long both to my son and to my parents. I gather she hasn't been working at Drusillas in a paid capacity that long - but her commitment and enthusiasm shone through.

On the way home my son said it had been the best day of his life - even better than Euro Disney. I don't think praise comes higher than that. Thank you very much. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in animals.

I came to the park with my 23 month old god daughter I paid £12.99 for self she was free which was a bonus as if I had had to pay for her I would have been very disappointed. Apparently it was a discounted day.
Although the park was fine the walk through lemer park was closed.
I was quite disappointed in my visit.
Only one restaurant was open, one shop a lot of the activities were closed, I did contact the park and got quite a non sympathetic answer saying that we could of done the wacky Olympics she is under 2 so not understand this. The indoor play park also closed.
Yes May be I should of booked on line to save a few pounds but not overly impressed.

My little boy recently had a zoo keeper for the day experience for his 6th Birthday. We had a truly fantastic day and my son enjoyed every second. Julie looked after us and made my sons day extra special. She made him giggle as well as teaching him lots without him even realising. She was warm and friendly from start to finish and I feel is an absolute credit to Drusillas Park. My little boy has told everyone that we have seen about his special day, including strangers in the post office queue!!!

His little sister is only 3 but she is already planning her 6th birthday so she can be a zoo keeper too.

This day was worth every single penny! Highly recommended.

Been three times now, went with my mum, sister and our kids, ages 3, 5 and 7, I don't know who had the better day, kids loved it and we could relax knowing they were safe, staff very good and the whole area was nice and clean,it seems to get better each time, will go again next year.

Came here with my boyfriend with low expectations, but had a great day out - especially as we're adults! Much much bigger than a thought, managed to get lost a few times. So many things to do, perfect for children as there's something for every child. Lemur land and the bird enclosure were my favourites. Make sure you see lemur feeding, they come up really close. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, however they didn't always act professional. There were a few instances where I saw arguments between staff members and misconmunictions. I was disappointed with food however, as they advertise child prices (I think) but when you get to the till they charge more. Food was quite nice but overpriced.

Having gone to Drusillas myself when I was a child, I now take my children every year and whenever I take them there is another fantastic attraction which has been added. My daughter did keeper for the day just recently and it was one of the best experiences of her life, she thoroughly enjoyed it and is now eager for me to book for her to do it again next year. She was really hands on with the animals and even had the meerkats on her lap!! I would highly recommend Drusillas for any family with young children to teens as the play area has plenty for all ages.

I used to bring my children here years ago and it was good then but my recent visit with my 3 year old nephew was wonderful.
This place is perfect for under 10's. A good mix of educational fun, hands on activity, playgrounds and animals.
I was impressed with how clean and safe it was without losing the fun aspects. Even the toilets were all designed for little people!
Highly recommended.

Me my girlfriend and young son age 7 went to drusillas and had a fantastic time. we went into a building where there are bats that fly around you and you can talk to an adviser women that explains to you about there habitat and what they eat. we also spent a lot of time on the climbing wall which was a lot of fun having races and doing it one leg and one arm. we had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was a very good price we also had some fresh cooked doughnuts that were fab we would love to come again and would recommend to everyone to go because little ones get to learn a lot and have fun at the same time and adults can have a nice bit of food see animals that you wouldn't have seen before and you can relax as it is a safe and friendly environment.

I have been visiting for the last 10 years with children of various ages. The animal enclosures are well kept and spacious and the animals happy. There are informative and interactive animal facts. The play parks are fantastic with an under 6 area, including sunken trampoline, fenced off from the bigger children. The indoor soft play is always clean and has air conditioning. The food outlets have a range of food and reasonably priced, also a huge picnic area, although sadly not much undercover for rainy picnics. Character days are always busy but fun. There are some activities to pay for once in, climbing wall, panning for go,d, dino dig and giant Plunge slide and an arty area too, however I manage to by pass those with my boys aged 3&5.
Thomas and his friends are great, you get as many train rides as you want included in the price and get to spot several other Thomas characters on the way round. Te Thomas shop is a little pricey.
The toilets are always clean and working with the added bonus of built in toddler seats, plenty of baby change and baby food heating service available at all food outlets.
We have annual passes and they are well worth it.

Not bad, slightly over priced for the tickets. This is a good place to go if you have young children. We spent a few hours here, there is a good variety of animals. Once you have spent a couple of hours here that is enough.

As a local I have visited this zoo many times as I've grown up, but most recently I went along with a group of friends before we finished college. It was a great day out and a brilliant way to let out our inner children. It was a fantastic opportunity for the budding photographers in our group to take loads of pictures as well as most of the exhibits are behind glass rather than horrid metal fences which spoil a photo.
Recommendable for families with young children as there are many places where they can get involved and learn at the same time,as well as a massive play area, including a maze, crazy golf and a train ride around the park.
My only query would be the price of food and the gift shop.

We visited Drusillas with our 2 autistic children recently. The interactive farmyard was fantastic, with the opportunity to milk a cow. The Teletubbie rabbit area went down a treat. The play areas are the best I have seen. There is a very interesting and well cared for zoo. The best thing off all was the Thomas train. The kids were thrilled. We have been to Disneyland Paris twice and I can honestly say Drusillas was a much better day out. We drove for the best part of 3 hours to get there, but it was well worth it. We will return :)

Easy to find and easy to park is always a good start.

I'd heard it was going to be expensive; we used club card points and that made the cost very cheap. I think club card vouchers were 1/3 the face value of an adult ticket.

We went for a family day out with our extended family and the attractions, animals and play areas suited all the kids from 1 - 11. At the entrance way there's a little book for the children to use to collect stamps on the way. Sometimes it's the simple (& free) things the get children running around and investigating.

Lunch was more or less as expected, not gourmet, but just what children want. The food wasn't overpriced, which is always a concern once you're 'in' and the options are limited.

There are several play areas and probably the ones I would dream about as a child.

I'm sure I'll be back in a few weeks time.

What a wonderful experience I had spending a morning behind the scenes and able to get very close to some of the wonderful animals for some fantastic photos. The keepers were so knowledgeable and pleasant and our keeper 'guide' was brilliant. I loved every minute of it and will remember it for a very long time. Thank you to all involved.

We visited Drusillas whilst on holiday and absolutely loved it. It is so well laid out with lots of information about all the animals. There was loads of things for children of all ages to solve and search for which helps keep them entertained. There was many animals that we had never seen before and we loved being able to feed the Lorikeets!! When we first arrived I thought it was a bit expensive but it was more than worth every penny! We ate in the café which had plenty to choose from.
A lot of the staff were volunteers and they were so helpful and very knowledgeable. Everyone was so friendly and chatty especially Neil.
Would highly recommend putting Drusillas on your lists of places to visit.
