A stop off at Drussilas Park on the way to Hastings and our first holiday with our grandson we thought would be a great start to the break. However although the attraction was generally ok the shock on my return to the car park to find the nearside of the vehicle scratched all along both doors was utterley shocking.
I spoke to the manager who was apologetic but could only say that there were 2 cameras in the car park, at the entrance and in the service yard. A great help!!!!!
The parents of the child or children who had done this must have been aware of their actions. Not even a note was left.
We will never go back to Drussilas Park and I intend to send them an invoice for the repair.

My friend and I took her almost 2 year old daughter to Drusillas last week and we all had the most fantastic time!

There's so much to see and do! Our little one was perhaps a little young to fully appreciate all the different species, but for those a bit older there's lots of interesting information, quiz type questions, interactive stations and opportunities to get really close to the animals. The new Red Pandas are especially gorgeous!

Not being organised to take food with us, one of us had a sandwich and the other a burger from the onsite eateries, both of which were really tasty, with nice quick service.

We spent most of our time in the play areas, which are lovely and big with lots for all ages, so we literally had hours of fun on the slides, swings and baby trampoline. As well as taking a 'break' to explore the indoor soft play area for smaller children. Finally, after a circuit on the Thomas the Tank train, we had one worn out baby and so a quiet journey home!

If you haven't been before, I feel that this really is a must for a fun day out. I will be sure to go again, even without the excuse of my friend's children!

We had a brilliant day here with our 4 year old twins, we were here 5 hours in total. The week before we had been to London zoo and really enjoyed it, however Drusilla's is many times better. The zoo encourages children to be more interactive by having spotter books, great for 4 year olds and Olympic challenges book for older children. Also all the facts about animals were displayed in a way that made it all a game. The fact that a route around the zoo is marked out with foot prints is brilliant, although the first areas are very busy at the beginning of the day. We hurried through them we wanted to see the penguins being fed, than happened to go back later which was much better.
There is a massive play area, which was busy as it was a bank holiday but there was enough space for a lot of kids to go mad. We did loose one daughter briefly, but the staff were brilliant at helping us find her.
The Thomas ride had a short que which moved quickly. The ride itself was brief and ok, our daughters enjoyed it. They really loved the lagoon paddling pool and spent a long while playing there. The maze was more popular with 1 daughter than the other.
I was impressed at just how much there was here to see and do and how long it kept our daughters entertained.

What a great place to go for all the family. All the way around the Zoo on the wall are templates for children to open and learn facts about animals etc. On a couple of the attractions are tunnels for children to crawl up and out. in some parts of the Zoo, children are aloud to touch some animals. Even I learnt some new facts about animals.

The restaurants compared to other attractions was well priced and all very clean and very tidy. We had a picnic with us and the picnic area was very clean with plenty of bins. Don't forget your free ride on Thomas the Tank engine which lasts about 5 mins around the Park. Drusillas also has a fantastic Play area for the children and if its a warm day, don't forget to take your swimming costumes with you as it has a small outside pool.

My only negative is after you have queued and paid to get in, as you go through you join another queue as the first part of the attraction starts in a tunnel. So you don't get much time to get yourself and family together. Such a small niggle, Sorry

Drusillas is a fun Zoo where the animals are very well cared for and have some great enclosures. One of the best ones that I have been to. I would recommend this to anybody.

Our 11 year old daughter had a brilliant day as a Zookeeper. She got to feed and care for lots of animals including Meerkats, Lemurs, Penguins, Porcupines, Mongoose and Prairie dogs. Her Keeper, Claire, was fantastic. She was helpful, friendly and patient and gave our daughter a birthday to remember.

For my daughters 13th birthday,id booked her the keeper for a day. WOW, my daughter had the most fantastic day ever. The memories made that day will be terrible hard to beat. I have never seen her smile so much, in all her life. Money well spent, & i would definatly do it for her again. Bree was hands on, helping, to clean, muck out & feed the animals, we have some amazing pictures, she even had a meerkat on her lap..Her keeper, was very friendly, & informative, I would highly recommend this to others..

We recently had a wonderful day out here, we last visited over 12 years ago. Wow what a difference . My husband and I and the children had a great day. So much to see and do, the children enjoyed letting off steam at the end of the day in the vast play area. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard, empty plates all round.Highlight of the afternoon was walking in the Lemur area, they sat on the fence sunbathing!!!!. We have even been given vouchers for our next visit for half price.Great work here keep it up,.......

We take a group of around 50/60 Year 3 children every year and always have an excellent time. The displays are well organised and give clear information about the creatures. The maps, with notes about the timed talks, are user friendly and particularly good if an itinerary needs planning. We have booked talks for the children in the eduction rooms, using both the Rainforest and Habitats talks in different years and have always found them to be excellent, well pitched for the age range and enormously exciting when anilmals can be handled. Health and Safety issues are well addressed with handwashing etc. The size of the park makes it very suitable for this age range and the children LOVE both the play equipment and the train ride. Lory Landing, where the birds can be fed nectar is always a particular excitement and the children enjoy having a book to do stamps in as they go around. The staff are accommodating and helpful. It's worth extending the school day a little if you are travelling far; the minimum amount of time you'd want to spend on site would be 4/5 hours.

Beaver Scouts from Wind in the Willows and Robin Hood Colonies (1st Frimley Green & Mytchett Scout Group in Surrey) together with adults visited this wonderful animal park on 27th April 2013 and had a brilliant day out. The Beavers got the opportunity to complete the Zoolympic Challenge and receive a certificate for their efforts and Simon, one of the Keepers, gave us a talk about Maple and Jasper, the two Beavers residing at Drusillas. He was even able to encourage them out into the enclosure so we could get a real good look at them! We were all so excited to see them. Drusillas is a brilliant experience for children and adults and has a good range of animals with some excellent "hands on" experiences. The Beaver Scouts said it was a brilliant day with so much to keep them entertained including the wonderful play park. I recommend Drusillas not just to other Beaver Colonies, but anyone who is interested in wildlife and wanting a fun day out! They give discounts for Scouts and Guides and provide lots of activities and resources to complete badge work. Thank you to everyone at Drusillas - we hope to return soon.

For my daughters 11th birthday we got her 'Keeper for the Day' at Drusillas. Initially I thought it was a tad expensive at £180 for the day (from 10am to 3.30pm). I was wrong. The day was fantastic, Katie had the 'bestest day' (her words). The keeper Claire was wonderful with Katie, she got to prepare food, go behind the scenes and see some of the animals that are not on show to the public. She got to feed and clean out nearly all the animals in the park, we have wonderful photos and videos. Her whole day was just wonderful. A true birthday present to remember.

Took someone who hadnt been before and they where very impressed with the layout and setting of the place. The entrance fee is slightly expensive but worth it if u go for the day as there is enough to do for the day with the fantastic play area.

(I try to take my 2 children age 5 and 1 to the park as much as i can before i have to pay full whack price for my son when he turns 2)
But with the "family of 2" offer it's afforable at the moment, we went today and it was the off peak price of £29.99 for me and my 5yr old and my under 2 was free.
We spent 2 Hours after school for a wonder in the sunshine. the park was not busy at all compared to the Peak days/weekends etc. It was so peaceful. Kids wondered slowly round and was playing with all the interactive things, stamps, tunnels, domes, singing Animal display, my kids love that. whilst they play with that i can watch them and Monkey's at the same time on the bench. there's Climbing poles, Lift up learning "mummy what does this say?" fun Interaction and educational. Sometimes my 5yr old remembers things that we read out about an animal which is a bonus.
they Love the Snowy Owl's ,beautiful!
Guinea Pigs!!!! and Penguins.
Remember to have a 20 pence coin in your pocket for the Rat feed.
Flamingo's! there's a Count how long you can stand on one leg timer.
More Monkeys. Farm section with cows, donkeys, goats, pigs etc. Love this bit!

Hand washing facilities are great, wish there were some antibacterial gel dispensers more available , i have seen them but maybe a couple more wouldn't go a miss. (love hand gel)

Parking is good, and a play park in the car park too. Toilets are plenty. baby changing too. Indoor Play area!!

thomas train is brill.

I do recommend going, take your time to see everything for the price, We went round in 2hours just because we've been here before we know what bits we like which bits we'll pass/overlook.
as my two get older they'll probably spend longer in the go bananas play area.

oh and we like the Maze at the end. Theres a swimming paddling pool too, and mini golf for £2 i think

Went to Drusillas for my birthday as paid for by my partner as a present. I cannot praise Drusillas enough. The park was absolutely amazing and a perfect quality zoo. We don't have children of our own and went as two adults, there are plenty of things for children to do, but as adults we also loved the place. The animals are well kept and appeared happy, they had spacious enclosures (London Zoo - take note!!!) and the furry animals had very glossy coats. There was plenty to see and do we even took a ride on the Thomas Train even though I am 33 and my partner 26. There are enclosures with bats, a sloth, lemurs and love birds that you can walk through, and Drusillas is the only zoo in the UK as far as I know which have fennec fox which is why we went because I love them so much.

We had food and a drink in the coffee shop and also some icecream and doughnuts and a pick and mix from another shop. All the staff were very pleasant and smiley, and I was amazed that for quite a big pick and mix it came to under £3.

My partner and I just totally loved this place, it shows that someone has really put a lot of thought into it for children and adults. We will be coming back to visit, and could have quite happily walked around again the next day.

This is our second visit to drusillas and we thought that it may not live up to our original trip, which was a thoroughly enjoyable day out. But yet again, drusillas was a pleasurable, memorable outing, that we enjoyed as equally as our two kids.
We were at the park for 5 hours, but could have spent longer if the kids weren't so worn out from all the activities! There's just so much to do.
We dined at the burger bar for lunch, which we found to be reasonably priced and the chicken burger we ordered was very lean and wasn't dripping in oil. We ordered a child's packed lunch, 2 chicken burgers with chips and a drink each and bought our daughter a space rocket slush puppy, it came to just under £20, which was reasonable compared to other places and the food was tasty too.
The only one problem I had was that we attempted to fine at the explorers restaurant (thinking the food would be more of a meal than just your average burger/chips type food) but we got in there at 11.30 and they weren't serving food till 12, which is fair enough, but I really think 11.30 onwards is a time which would be more suited to some. Kids generally get up early and eat early, therefore they become hungry earlier (especially after all the energy burned) so I really did think that the food should have been available, even if it was made to order, at 11.30.
This was my only criticism of an otherwise perfect day.
Well done drusillas, you've made the grade again!!!

Visited during Easter half term while on holiday in East Sussex with our two young children. They had a brilliant time. The zoo is great and interactive. The play area is fantastic. We spent about 5 plus hours there and the children weren't bored once. It's not cheap, but good value.

At key times the Park is well attended but rarely does this cause a significant problem. The exhibits are generally well presented: one does wonder at the privacy afforded to certain animals.
The main restaurant serves hot meals at specific times but don't rely on having breakfast there.
Children of most ages seem well pleased. All in all a good day's outing.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her eagerly anticipated Zoo Keeper for the day experience and would do it again tomorrow. It wasn't cheap especially as we choose to wait for the nicer weather Easter holiday option but it proved to be very good value as she had a full and varied day. We've got some great photos of her covered in Meerkats, stroking timid Capabaras and Racoons and feeding Penguins. The member of staff who accompanied her was knowledgeable and eager to share her love of the animals they were caring for. I would recommend it for any-one who is animal mad.

My boyfriend bought me an experience with penguins as a surprise birthday present, and I have to say it was amazing, the whole experience was fantastic, I won't forget it in a hurry and want to do it again already.
We spent the day at the park as that was included in my experience price, my boyfriend had to pay the admission fee but we thoughts that was ok and he was made aware of this at booking. We spent the day looking around at all the animals and doing some of the activities.
When it was time to go to the penguins the zoo keeper could not have been more helpful, knowledgable and happy to answer questions, she took me round the back of the zoo to see what happens and where food is stored, we then went in to feed the penguins, I was given a very big bucket of fish and was to throw these in, once they had had enough I was able to go on to the beach and get closer to them, which I didn't expect, I even managed to hand feed one of the less shy penguins! The encounter must have lasted at least 45 minutes and was amazing from start to finish, I only wish I could have taken a penguin home with me!! I would recommend this experience to anyone who has a love for penguins!

Enjoyed every minute of Drusilla's but of course feeding the Penguins was the best bit! Saw loads of amazing animals, had fun in the Crazy Golf & got up close & personal with lots of Penguins. The staff were very friendly & helpful & made me feel very welcome. I'd recommend Drusilla's to everyone!

We recently visited the park with our 2 children 8 & 5 whilst were on holiday in the area. We used our tesco vouchers to gain entry to the park and were glad that we did because we felt the gate price @ £63 for a family of 4 was alittle pricey. We were surprised to learn that 2 yrs + were charged as much as an adult. We appreciate that tickets are cheaper purchased on line but if you're on holiday this may not be an option for some people. The park itself is very well designed and flows really nicely. The animals were interesting and our girls loved the interactive activities. It rained for most of the day during our visit so we were disappointed that there weren't many indoor activities for the children. We were surprised to learn that some activities incurred additional costs because together with the cost of a ticket at the gate, this could prove a rather expensive family day. All in all and despite the bad weather we had a lovely day out.

This family park does not cater for
Local families unless you sign up for the yearly membership. An ok day out not many indoor activities (as it does rain heavily in the Uk) I would only return if the prices were fair. This is the general opinion of many women In my local town of Eastbourne nice an near but unfair family prices.

We took our granddaughter (aged 8, going on 15) on a miserable day this week - and had a fabulous time. The staff were incredibly attentive, the zoo part was very educational in a way that didn't seem like it, the play area was superb - I loved it! - and the restaurant served good fresh food. It was also great to be able to get a real (Starbucks) coffee when we arrived! It's about 3 years since were here last and the improvements are self-evident; we would thoroughly recommend this as a great day out!

We went to Drusillas on Sunday (7th April 2013) haven't been since xmas but we are memebers, the explorers restaurant has been revamped with new menus which are great, jackets with choice of toppings AND salad, also they have introduced Pizzas which we will be trying on our next visit !!!
Drusillas Park always reinvest in the park and there is always something new every year. We have been memebers for more than 10 years and still enjoy visiting on every visit. My son and Newphew have fed the penguins and my daughter wants to !!!!!!
In my opinion it is well worth a visit but the best thing to do is become memebers as you can go any time you want.

Very interesting , lots of different kinds of lemurs monkeys and a big adventure play area for the kids , food is cery expensive i would say take pack lunch and go on a warm day. I think the entrance fee should be less. Overall was a good few hours looking around the zoo
