We visited Drusillas Park in late November on a rainy day but parents, grandparents and our three-year-old daughter had a wonderful time dashing from one dry spot to the next. There is an outstanding indoor playground for small children and the train ride around the park which lasts only a few minutes brought big smiles. If you have a chance to visit the otters at feeding time, they are as cute as they come!

What a fantastic experience! My daughter spent the day with Katie, one of the keepers, who introduced her to Meercats, Capybaras, Raccoons and Penguins to name but a few. A full on day, packed with facts and information, feeding and getting up close to all manner of creatures. Highly recommended by us both. Brilliant idea for a Birthday present!

We had a great day on Saturday 1st December which tied in with the official opening of the Light Fantastic Winter Wonderland. Our children had a great day seeing the animals, playing in the soft play areas and of course they thoroughly enjoyed The Thomas Tank Engine experience. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly - the hot chocolate and home made doughnuts went down a treat. To top it all off meeting Father Christmas in his Grotto was every kids dream. A great day out. Thank you Drusillas.

We have had a wonderful day today at Drusillas. We have been a couple of times before and always enjoy seeing the animals and the children especially enjoy the adventure play area. The highlight today was seeing the amazing Christmas lights. It’s a Winter Wonderland scene with all the lights put to Christmas music – simply magical. After seeing Santa, the children were spellbound by the whole experience. It was very cold – good excuse to warm up with a mulled wine!!!

There is so much to look at, read and experience here at Drusillas. I was concerned that my kids weren't going to enjoy it but I am pleased to say that they had an absolutely fabulous time. I would highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful day. I was accompanied by a very friendly and informative member of staff. Perhaps some people would only like the feeding and meeting of a variety of animals but I enjoyed all aspects, including preparing meals (this involved live mealworms, crickets and locusts as well as lots of fruit and vegetables) and some cleaning out of enclosures. But you only have to do what you'd like to do.
Particular highlights included feeding the penguins and fruit bats. I'm 59 and can't recommend this enough.

We visited this attraction as an end of October half term treat taking an 8 year old, two six year olds, a five year old and a 17month old baby. Everyone of them found something which gave great joy and happy memories.
The zoo is easy to walk round even with a buggy. The Thomas the Tank Engine train ride is fabulous fun and the play area is zoned to suit children of all ages and abilities.
It being half term the attraction was packed with visitors. We took our own picnic and went first to the covered picnic area to have lunch. What a surprise to be odered into a dark cave by a six foot, very ugly looking witch! The kids loved it and all of us screamed when surprised by a second witch inside the cave. It's the little extra that makes Drusillas special. The only downside is the ridiculous prices of gifts in the shops and the very steep entry costs. But my guess is it is expensive to care for the animals some of which are endangered.

I visited with my 3 children and some friends, I have to say what a wonderful day out we had. The Zoo was fantastic, my children loved the animals and especially the little books you can get at the beginning of the Zoo to stamp to match the animals you see, they actually took these in to school after the half term to share the experience.
The play area is really fantastic and caters for all ages, and they loved the indoor play as well as it is huge and really keep them entertained.
A really fantastic day out, the food, the staff and the cleanliness of Druzillas Park is one of the best I have come across, we will definitely be back again!!!
Great value for money!!!

The children enjoyed their day here, that's the main thing! Extremely crowded during half term week (understandably). I think we might have enjoyed it more if we'd managed to go when less crowded. Zoo areas nicely laid out and interesting, these are the best bits of the park in my opinion. It's a shame the park isn't better landscaped to incorporate the views of the surrounding South Downs, you get glimpses now and then but feel a bit 'fenced' in a 'theme park' kind of way. Some more open views and green areas making the most of the setting would enhance the experience further.

We recently visited this wonderful attraction as a family on the recommendation of a friend. We certainly weren't disappointed. In fact it was one of the most memorable days out as family we have ever had. Drusilla's is not just a zoo, it is much, much more. When we arrived we found ample car parking spaces close to the entrance, despite being very busy. The park is nestled in a beautiful, picturesque setting. When we entered the zoo we were greeted by a fantastic atmosphere of carnival sounds and wonderful sights. As you journey around the zoo, weird and wonderful animals reveal themselves. Their environments are clean and spacious and they appear to be extremely well looked after. Their are opportunities along the way to feed the animals and to hold creatures like cockroaches etc. which my son found amazing!!! When we finished looking at the animals went ventured towards the activities part of the park. There we were spoiled with choice of activities from climbing walls to slides. My little boy is still buzzing from the train ride on Thomas the Tank Engine around the park. While we were there it did start to rain and we were directed towards an indoor soft play area which again was a real pleasure. The children could run wild (safely) while us adults indulged in the delights of adjacent cafe in full view of our children. We ended our day eating in one of the many places available at this wonderful park. The food was fantastic! To summarise, this is a park that has something for everyone. It has a certain charm, the staff are very helpful and clearly love working there. The activities and animals there will entertain, educate and mesmerize. It is spacious and full of little surprises around every corner. Thank you Drusillas for a fantastic experience!!

We took our son here on his first birthday and he loved it :) although we went in the summer holidays, it wasn't too over crowded and we went round the zoo twice. Took our own picnic so didn't get to experience the parks own food.
Staff are very friendly and their knowledge on the animals is brilliant.
Maybe a little bit expensive to get in (£31.00) for two adults but compared to a lot of other places, you get your money's worth. Unfortuantly didnt get to experience the Thomas train as nowhere secure enough to leave the buggy, but understand that's not the parks responsibility.
But Will Defiently be returning in the future :)
Good day out.

Having been coming to Drusillas year after year with our children, the zoo never fails to disappoint. Constantly being updated and never the same twice. A trip to Grandmas house is never complete without a visit. Pleasing grandma to the youngest children alike the zoo has complete universal appeal.

I have never visited a zoo/wildlife park that is sooooo perfect for young children, with the animals and educational displays.... the 'teletubby rabbit land' numeroud playgrounds and indoor soft play it was brill! There is too much to mention. I have visited London, Colchester, Longleat and chester but none are similar to this. Our visit with our nearly 3 year old was topped off with a trip on the very authentic Thomas the Tank Engine. A very memorable day for all of us.
Compliments to the staff as displays/literature (stamp book)/jungle path/entertainment/toddler toilet!! is VERY well thought of and superb for young/pre school kids.

Drusillas is a fab little zoo, and although its quite expenssive to get in its worth getting an annual pass if you are going to visit several times.
There are lots of animals to see and the play area is great.

I have been a visitor to Drusillas for the past 3 or 4 years now, and it never fails to impress me.
The site is well run by very enthusiastic and well mannered staff.
Despite the number of visitors it is kept clean and tidy.
The on-site food is excellent and extensive, for this type of attraction.
A year never goes by without new attractions or improvements being made.
You only have to see the smiles on the children’s faces (and adults) to realise the enjoyment that can be found here.
This will surely make it the number one Zoo Park in Europe!

We (2 adults and 2 children, aged 3 and under) visited Drusillas on a Saturday, 6th October, and were very impressed by the Park. There is a good mixture of animals in the zoo area, some exotic and some you would find on local farms, and the animal enclosures looked very well kept with plenty of viewing space. A lot of thought has gone into the layout of the Park and there are many interactive and educational features as you navigate the zoo trail, ensuring the children were always kept interested.

Once you finish the zoo trail the Park opens out into a very large play area catering for different ages (details on website). Most kids would be happy to spend a few hours in here alone. The size, quality and range of play facilities, both inside and out, are fantastic

The Park would be perfect for a young family, I expect any teenagers may find it more limiting but I believe this is the level the Park is aimed at.

One aspect that would be good to change or address is that if you wish to spend a good deal of time on the zoo trail it is quite a while before you are able to purchase food or sit down to eat, baring in mind young children. You can of course go into the zoo trail when and how many times you wish. It would also be good if the main / better restaurant serviced visitors before they are exiting the Park, we would have rather eaten in there than the fast food restaurant if we had known .... this is only the case on the first visit of course!

We visited as a party 2 couples and were immediately delighted by the stunning countryside surrounding the park. Everywhere was clean and well kept and all the guests and the animals seemed truly happy to be there. We were able to amble round at our own pace and enjoyed a relaxing morning coffee and lunch whilst we were there. All reasonably priced and plenty of choices. Many familes were eating outside and there were ample tables and a large under cover area for if the weather is wet. We had great fun riding on "Thomas" , trying to find our way out of the maze and of course spending time watching and reading about the animals. It is a manageable park so not too tiring for any age group but there is certainly enough to keep you occupied for a day. Drusillas is great value and a great day out. Go and enjoy you will not be disappointed and dont forget your camera.

Visited here with my two boys aged 8 and 9, during a visit down to sussex. It was very good value for money, absolutely loads for us all to see and a great play area that the boys loved. We stayed the whole day and they didnt whine, whinge or complain once.....thats very rare, lol. The cafes are not pricey either which makes a refreshing change. The park is scrupolously clean and very well run. I will definately come back next time im in sussex.

Grandson spotted the train and rushed through the zoo bit to get there. Loved the water pool and the train. On the adventure playground I could not see him and he is only nearly 3 but he reappeared.

We went here for the day in August with my sons aged 23 months and 15, my 17 year old niece and my mum.
All the animal enclosures are mainly glass so you get a great view of all the animals, there is a free fun stamp book to do, as you go round the park and stamp when you see the animals.
We especially liked the meerkats they are very funny to watch.
The ride on Thomas train is a lovely part of the park, we ate there too and had great burgers and chips.
The outside play area was great too.
I would definitely recommend Drusillas to all ages, if you go when the kids are off school, go early because it does get really busy.
There are lots of outdoor seating so you could take a picnic if you wanted.

My daughter has been a keeper for the day for the last few years for her Birthday, she always enjoys it. The day is absolutly jam packed, feeding and cleaning the Meerkats is always a favourite, as is feeding the naughty Rockhopper Penguin Slasher. I can honestly say the whole experience is fantastic, she always looks so happy in all the photos. The keepers who have shown her around have all been very knowledgable, friendly and very professional. Brilliant.

We took our 3 young children to Drusillas (for about the 4th time) and they still love it! There is always something different to see it seems whether it be a new animal or new area, my kids absoutely had a ball and we were there from about 1030 and didn't leave till it closed! They took part in the Zoolympics and were chuffed when their certificates turned up in the post shortly after sending them in, they got their park book stamped whenever they saw and animal and they had a ball in the play area! We took a picnic and found somewhere to sit straight away in the play area to eat and then off we went again following the park round. They love having a ride on Thomas and visting the shops where you can buy reasonably priced gifts without breaking the bank!
All the staff we came across were very friendly and chatty which makes a huge difference! The animals are obviously all loved and well cared for which is great to see and my kids had fun trying to name all the animals! It was the first time we had seen the lorikeet enclosure which was great and we had some lovely photos with the birds sitting on us eating the nectar!
I think you get what you pay for at Drusillas - a fantastic and tiring day out! Just what the kids and adults alike are after! Thank you!!!
