Brilliant day out with our boys aged 2 and 5. Loads to do and lots of added educational stuff for the kids to do, the boys loved collecting stamps in their spotter books and taking part in the zoolympics whilst going round the zoo. They also recieved a certificate each, in the post for taking part in these activities, this was a brilliant added bonus for them thankyou!
We also visited on a day when the Fat Controller was visiting, which added to the enjoyment of the Thomas train ride, he was brilliant.
The kids had a short play in the adventure playground, but we ran out of time to spend long there!

Drusillas is very well sign posted, therefore easy to find, on arrival there is ample, well organised parking. We were greeted by very friendly staff who actually demonstrated a geuine interest in our well being, the same has to be said for all the staff we encountered during the day, an absolute credit to themselves and the organistion.
The zoo is beautifully laid out ensuring the visit is kept interesting, fun and also educational, hand feeding the parrots was a particular favourite.
The childrens play areas are very well equipped and like the eating facilities they are clean safe and very well staffed and maintained.
As far as value for money is concerned , I recently visited our local traelling fare with the same children where i spent more money in a fraction of the time we spent at Drusillas.
But most importantly with the fare long since forgotten, our next visit to Drusillas is still very much spoken about and looked forward to, that is what i see as good value for money.

Great as you can use tesco club card vouchers here, other wise its quite an expensive day out especially if you have more than three children in your family. The children enjoyed it very much, lots of actitivies for them to do. Picnic area if you want to chill and watch the children play, however the resturant provides reasonable food at a cost. Would go there again but definately use tesco club card vouchers.

We spent a whole day walking round in the sun. My 9 year old nephew never gets tired of visiting the park, he not only enjoys the animals but also never wants to leave the play areas. It is suitable for all ages of children and adults as well.

We had never heard of Drusillas until mentioning to a friend that we were visiting the Brighton area. They said you must visit, and so we did.

On approach the zoo was very well sign posted and on arrival parking was easy. The ticket office was easily accessible and we were greeted with a warm friendly smile and pointed in the right direction.

I have to be honest and say, I've never visited such a wonderful place! The animal enclosures were all clean and looked very well maintained. Each animal had a perfect description of what you were looking at, and the kids had a little stamp book which they could mark off with a rubber stamp to each animal along the the way.

Then we arrived at 'Thomas The Tank Engine' Wow! This was most certainly the highlight for the kids. We only had to wait 10 mins before we boarded and left for journey on Thomas around the park. The kids absolutely were thrilled.

We ate in the Parks cafeteria, Food was reasonably priced, and ample enough for lunch.
Once again the staff were friendly and warm!

The on Park shops were very good, with just about any gift you could imagine to purchase. They also had lots of Thomas The Tank Engine memorabilia, which was great for kids after they actually took a ride on him.

All in all we all had a magical day out, and will definitely come return again when we are back in the area.

We visited with our Grandchildren of varying ages but mainly for the youngest to see "Thomas" which was a diesel driven train! The pamphlet gives the impression of there being much more to Thomas than there really is it consists of a 5-10 min train ride with models of a few other engines alongside the track. The Zoo is mainly made up of Monkeys with their young - sweet but hardly a Zoo! The food is expensive & not very appetising. The hit of the day was the play area which they all enjoyed we thought it expensive for what it was.

I haven't been to Drusillas in about 15 years, when I was at school, so my husband and I decided to make the most of this glorious March sunshine and take my 2 nieces down yesterday. What a day!!
There was so much to see we were there ALL day!! My younger niece (4yrs old) fell in love with the monkeys and flamingo's, and the older one (6yrs) LOVED the huge adventure playground!!
I would highly recommend this to any of my friends and family with young children, and if you don't have any, do what we did and borrow some family members!! As it was a great day out for us too!!

Five of us went to Drusillas for my Grandsons birthday who was 3, he enjoyed the animals and play activities. There is nothing there for adults or teenagers, however we enjoyed seeing our little man's excitement and joining in the activities with him..

The family meal we purchased was terrible, we complained and got a part refund, when we complained by email the Director replied in a very curt letter a list of facts which were clearly untrue. The food was poor value, greasy and cheap. Even my 13 year old son who eats everything left his chips, and turned up his nose up at a dry chocolate muffin . They stated the salad was fresh, however it was wilting and wet. Clearly our standards differ.

When we asked the Thomas the Tank train driver when Thomas left the "station' the young lady informed us about five minutes. I walked to the entrance about a 30 seconds walk and with my grandson walk up to the gate, this closed just as we reached it and the train was not even full! He burst into tears. On the bright side at least this gave us a couple of minutes to buy some doughnuts to keep him happy!

Quite expensive as the family had finished and we were all 'funned' out within 3 and a half hours and and one hundred and ten pounds lighter.

I would like to take the opportunity to say what a wondeful day out we had with the family visiting Drusillas. The park is action packed with lots to keep both children and adults amused! The children loved the monkeys, some of which had babies which was lovely to see. The park is very educational for children and makes learning fun for them. Our little boy aged 18 months couldn't get enough of the Thomas train. There is something for all ages, the play areas are fantastic and cater for children younger and older alike. We can't wait to tell our friends about Drusillas and look forward to returning very soon. I would strongly recommend anyone wanting a brilliant day out to go here.

We were staying in Eastbourne and were recommended to go to Drusillas. It was only 25 minutes from our hotel on the front and was pretty easy to find. From the moment we drove into the well staffed and organised car park you could see these guys knew what they were doing.

We nearly turned away on seeing the admission price (only joking but not cheap) but you can why it is pricey once inside. The zoo could be a zoo on its own and has fantastic exhibits from all over the world and is very interactive with the kids. My wife loved the pink flamingos which she has never seen before.

The (free) Thomas The Tank Engine railway was a particular favourite of my daughter and the huge adventure playground areas are fantastic for kids of all ages, there is also a big inflatable slide a bouncy castle and lots of other activities.

All in all one of the best kids days out we have ever had.

We are annual pass holders - very lucky that my mum buys them for us for Christmas. It can work out expensive for one day entrance fee otherwise. But It's been revamped and is great for all ages from toddlers to teens. Gets a bit pricy with food etc but we take a picnic and they have excellent picnic areas. I love drusillas and am a real fan. I highly reccomend it as the animals are all very well looked after and the whole facility is clean and tidy.

Average place to visit. Not very interested in seeing animals caged in cramped conditions.

Having visited Drusillas last summer this day was booked as a christmas present for my animal loving 17 year old daughter who wishes to work with animals. We were met at the gate by the zoo keeper allocated to jenny for the day. He stayed with her the whole day explaining the animal care routines and zoo issues in general. She had a briliiant day working along side the zoo keepers and found it fun and informative.
This is a lovely zoo for family visits especially for those with young children. The animals have good enclosures allowing exercise and lovely planting to maintain a natural environment. The animals are active and can easily be seen and enrichment activities are provided for them. Zoo staff are on hand to explain about the animals and ensure that they are well cared for. There are many play areas and activities for young children and my only comment would be that we(being older) would have liked a picnic area separate from these busy play areas.

We took our young son when he was 18months old thinking it would probably be too old for him. He and therefore we, had a great time. We will certainly return.

Headline price seems rather high especially when certain attractions are closed or cost extra...kids and adults enjoyed it especially Thomas (only runs on the hour midweek) and feeding the birds!

Loads of things for kids to do, and adults, both instructive and fun, loads of parking and easy to find. Would recommend this for a kids day out, under 14 year olds mainly. Nice picnic area.

Wonderful family day out. Bring swimmning gear if it's hot! Quite expensive, but you need to prepare to make the day of it to get full value.

Drusillas is good (if you have an annual pass) BUT once you have been robbed to get in, you pay through the nose for food, extra rides (not Thomas -thats free) and bouncy castle etc, crazy golf etc etc. Yes its good, but frankly I think Disney would be cheaper to get in and stay in.
