Visited yesterday and wasn't bored at any moment, which was a good thing as some animal parks can be, as you just walk around a small area and stop by a small sign by each cage to read information that you really can't always be bothered to read. The zoo is not small so not over in 5 minutes which is good. Didnt get the chance to see any shows as we didnt plan for that.

What was great about the zoo was that you had a little book to stamp throughout the walk and interactive information booklets made of plastic for kids to flick through. You could also test how loud your young ones are by getting them to scream in a phonebox that records decibels. This was one of a few activities to try. All very engaging.

In our group there were three adults and two children. Plenty for the kids to do as well as the zoo such as a mini watermark, large outdoor play area, mini theme park and Thomas which I believe is in its last year. Not a bad thing really. I think this could have been better. Although the 4 year old loved the ride I felt that it could have been more Thomas themed rather than just a train that goes around the outskirts of the zoo etc. No proper station to wait at etc. But kids don't really care about stuff like that purely as they have not experienced better lol. Perhaps if it was in one corner of the park with its own signage with all the characters I would have been more 'wow' as I didn't realise it was an attraction until I saw it was Thomas the tank from the front. Anyway that's just me.

I think the park is good value for what we paid - 4 adults 1 child @£80. I wouldn't want to pay anymore. Overall a nice day out. Bring a picnic as there are benches and a picnic area. Definitely worth another visit but maybe not for another year. Looks like new attractions coming in may 2017 will boost the fun!

We visited Drusillas with 2 other families on Monday. Between us we had 5 children aged between 3 and 9. It was the perfect place to take them! The park was clean, excellent facilities and it was good value for money.
The zoo trail with the Olympic challenges kept the children busy during the walk round and we saw all the animals. The kids loved stamping their books and being able to get so close the Lemurs was amazing.
The play park was great and the super splash area gave them a welcome cool off! We didn't queue longer than 10 mins for any of the Hello Kitty rides, and it was great to see that ice creams and coffee were a fair price! We will definitely be visiting again.

Visited Drusillas for the first time yesterday, my ten year old had been on a school trip and she was really excited to show us the ropes! It was brilliant. 4 adults and 4 children from 2 years to 10. There was something for all. Animals were in lovely condition with well maintained enclosures. Lots of information about each species and plenty to do. Hello Kitty world was very bright and clean a hit with the little ones! Get Wet was brilliant and perfect as we had hot weather. We had lunch in the Explorers cafe and found it very impressive. Food was lovely, prices reasonable, staff helpful and cafe was pleasant and clean. All in all a really lovely family day out. Used tesco vouchers for some of the entry prices so it was a real bargain! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic day out for me, hubby, two girls age 6 & 8 and grandparents!
Lovely little zoo with lots of hands on activities! Not too big!
We used our 'double up' TESCO vouchers so our day was free! We eat in the little cafe which was the usual little high prices but I'd rather that than carry a rucksack around all day! Cost just under £30 for hotdogs and drinks for 6 of us 🌭☕️
Hello kitty was a great touch. My daughter has been a fan since she was 2 & was over the moon to finally meet her idol!! It was very emotional to watch! I would of paid more for hello kitty to have lunch or even walk around the park with my daughter but none of that was possibly unfortunately. But she had a picture on a bed with her and I didn't feel rushed to leave!
There was no qu'ing for rides which was lovely! Not over crowded for a Sunday!
Brilliant day out! Parks were good, new splash park looked good but mine played in the little swimming pool opposite hello kitty land! A great day had by all ☺️

Drusillas is a great place to take children under 10 for a day out but a few things to note to make the day more enjoyable. Overall, good quality zoo and play areas packed with things to do for the little ones. Down side was half hour queue to get in, then you are into the rather confined zoo trail with no time or space to stop and sort yourself and the kids out. There is a cafe as you enter and it appears to be the only place to stop. The day we went was very sunny and hot and places to sit in the shade, indeed to sit anywhere, were sorely lacking. The picnic area was small and overcrowded, particularly if you needed shade for the children as only some tables had umbrellas. The shops are reasonably priced but surprisingly only accept cash and there are no ATM's so bring plenty of cash for those ice creams etc. Rides were all included in price. Great little shallow pool area for small kids but again finding somewhere to sit in the shade is difficult. Finding your way round can be quite confusing for a relatively small but crowded area and the little map supplied I found too fussy to be much use. Following the zoo trail will ensure you find most things but there's nowhere to rest for quite a while if you have small children until you finish it to emerge into the good play area. Will be much better second time round now I know the layout better. It's an all day visit to make it worthwhile, overall worth it, but with the downsides as described.

Absolutely good park to visit with children under twelve. Not far from London, Thomas and Friends train and personages, nice Zoo.

This is the best animal park we have visited. The animal enclosures are extremely clean and spacious, the animals look content and healthy. This alone is enough for me to like this place, sadly this experience is in stark contrast to what we usually find.

The animals exhibits/enclosures all have good information for both young and old learning, the park have made every animal exhibit interesting and fun.

The cafes are good with a good selection of food, chicken products seem to be quality breast and not reformed etc

Currently the Thomas the tank engine ride is at Drusillas, it is very disappointing to learn that this ride is ending soon and will be replaced.

This is understandable and the park owners have been very clear and communicative regarding this, there are plans to replace it with a 'safari train' and also two new amusement rides.

I am disappointed that the park have chosen to go a little more down the amusement and rides route, because currently the park has a very family friendly, genuine and 'wholesome' feel... The animals and everything are good for the children to see, the learning/activities are good, there is a huge playground and water playground which is good to see children being active and having fun, so to introduce 'rides' is slightly disappointing.

But this park is brilliant, and I'm sure the park will continue to be great despite my reservations.

If you have young children give it a visit.

We visited Drusillas on 17th August to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We booked this as there was a Bing from cbeebies appearance. First the good bits..amazing play areas, lovely zoo, fabulous water play all enjoyed by the whole family. The rides were lovely, although queues were long (but we knew it would be busy). We were also pleasantly surprised by the gift shop and felt that stock was good quality and fairly priced. I do have a couple of gripes however, we booked and paid in advance, and after nearly a three hour journey with two small children, had to cue for nearly an hour at the ticket booths. I have no idea why this is seen as acceptable logistics or customer care. The other point is with literally hundreds of people wanting to meet the characters it was apparent that either a time slot needed to be allocated or visitor numbers need to be controlled, I saw many people that didn't get to complete the experience. Unfortunately the way we insured our daughter got to meet her favourite character on her birthday, was for me to stand in line (in very hot sunshine) for an hour and fifteen minutes while my husband look the children around the park as letting her down was not an option! All in all the children had a magical day which is all that matters to me, but this could have been easier with a little more thought by those responsible for customer care.

My husband and I visited Drusillas Park this week with our daughters aged 2 and 4. We had a such a lovely day out! They have an array of animals and an amazing play area. The new splash park was brilliant, especially on a hot day so our girls had lots of fun getting wet. What I like in particular about Drusillas is that it caters very well for children of all ages. There isn't anything that younger children can't do. The Hello Kitty rides were a huge hit, so too was the face painting. We will definitely be returning again very soon.

Good value. Well laid out and good selection of animals. Can just wander round or the kids can get involved with different interactive tasks along the way. Small rides, maze, small water park, Hello kitty section all good for small children.

Two grandparents, one daughter-in-law from New Zealand with two very excited children, aged 5 and 3, hit Drusillas on a beautiful sunny day. The queue looked long but we were soon through and in to the zoo, thanks to the very efficient staff at the gate. We found the staff in all parts of the park very helpful and smiley from start to finish. the children loved seeing the animals but were particularly fascinated by all the clever puzzles and inter-active exhibits, which were both fun and informative. Our grandson particularly liked the "Dangerous Animal" in the box! The animals all looked happy and well kept and Grandpa was especially fascinated by the superior looking Emperor Tamarins.
After looking round the zoo, we had lunch, which was so much better than the tawdry fare usually on offer at such attractions. Plenty of healthy options all quickly and efficiently served - much appreciated by the two youngsters, who were keen to get to Get Wet. Here the decibel level rose (!) and we sat comfortably while the children squealed with delight, running in and out of the water jets. Take swimming costumes and towels. When we finally got them out of the water, it was time for a Thomas ride. Sadly Thomas is leaving at the end of this year, but he is to be replaced by something just as exciting.
All pretty exhausted by now and, with ice-creams in hand, we retreated to the car park and home. The overall conclusion was that it was very difficult to find any faults at Drusillas - a brilliant day all round and well worth another visit soon.

We visited yesterday and it was great fun - we have two four year olds and they loved it. Highlight for us was the water play area and the under six climbing and play area. The children also loved the animals - great value. Thank you!!'

Spent the day at Drusillas with family (3 kids, 4 adults) and all had a fantastic time. Something here for everyone with a wide variety of animals, activities and food and drink. Would recommend!

I recently went to Drusillas Park with my nieces and nephews and had a great time!!! There was something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the maze, my nephew loved the Thomas the Tank Engine train (which I secretly loved as well) and my nieces loved the Hello Kitty cars (which I actually loved as well) the animals where great especially the monkeys! So funny!

Visited Drusillas with my wife, 3 children and their Uncle and Aunty and we had a fantastic day!

There is a great variety of animals in the zoo with some that we've never seen before and right from the start there are interactive displays and a stamp collecting book for the children to do as they go around the zoo. What a great idea!
There are also plenty of facts to read as you stroll around the zoo and my son thoroughly enjoyed trying to answer the animal colony questions that are dotted along the paths before lifting the flap to reveal the answer. Once again a lovely touch and educational too!

The Outside play area's are great with plenty of space and lots of things for the children to do. Plus the adults get to have a break too :)

The outside water park looked like lots of fun but we forgot to take the children's costumes. Will remember next time.

The maze was great fun and kept the children entertained. My son wanted to do it again. To finish the day off we went to the hello kitty secret garden which the children loved.

The whole park was very clean and tidy and the staff were happy and smiley. Keep it up.

All in all a fantastic day out for us all. We will be returning some day soon.

Living locally we have invested in an annual membership . We were going so often as the grandchildren love it. The park really does cater for every age group which is great when you have a 2 year old & 7 year old in tow.

There's so much to do and it really keeps the kids interested and occupied. Much of it is educational but the splash pad has been great in the nicer weather and the soft play brilliant when the weather has been typically British! Hello Kitty is a favourite of ours but still nothing beats wandering around the zoo.

The staff are are enthusiastic, fantastic with the kids and seem so happy in their work. A real credit to the management.

We will be renewing our membership...there aren't many attractions that give such good value for money!

My children are 11,5 and 3. This was our first visit, using clubcard vouchers in exchange for tickets. We dont often go on days out like this as my 5 yr old has autism. This park is amazing for helping with things like this. We got an access pass on arrival which meant we could use some of the rides without queues and meltdowns! The staff were great and did anything they could to help. We had a wonderful day out and my children loved it. If going with a child with additional needs, the only thing i would suggest would be going into the visitors info office to get an access pass before queing to get in. We queued for 15 mins to get in, but then had to go back outside the park to get the pass. Luckily i had my mum there to stay with the kids while i did it but if you were on your own it would be a struggle. Overall a great day out and plenty of resting places, even on a busy day in the holidays!

My toddler and I visited on a day when Paw Patrol were also going to be there.

When we arrived we had to queue for 40 minutes. I had brought my tickets on line so do find it odd that there is no gate specifically for pre paid tickets. Surely this would help keep the queuing time down.

The animal enclosures looked nice with plenty of viewing opportunities. The toddler loved the penguins. You can walk through a bat enclosure, a lemur enclosure and a bird section but we didn't as the toddler didn't want to. Hopefully next time.

There is a very large playgroup for kids to play in. It is very large and I lost the toddler a few times. Would be nice if areas were gated in as it is a large space with lots of slides and walkways that is easy to lose your child on. Having said that the toddler loved it. There is also splash area but that was packed so we didn't go in.

We queued for about an hour and 40 minutes for the the toddler to see, hug and have his picture taken with Paw Patrol. Despite the wait we weren't made to feel rushed but you do need to take something to entertain your little ones in the queue as there was no other entertainment unless you let them go off on their own.

The Thomas train was a great success, we went on 3 times. The toddler loved seeing the other Thomas characters and waving at people. It's a shame that Thomas will be leaving soon but hopefully the Safari Train that is replacing it will be as fun for the little ones.

We visited the Hello Kitty area. The toddler loved the car and tea cup ride.

The paddling pool looked nice but the toddler ran past and back to the Thomas train.

I found the park to be clean and tidy despite the amount of people visiting and I found the gift shop to fairly priced on branded items. We did take a picnic so can't comment on the food prices.

All in all a lovely but busy day.

Drusillas has always been a great venue, I took my kids there over 25 years ago and now visiting with our grandchildren - it was good then, it's great now. The venue is first class and extremely well thought out. It's educational and it's fun. There's plenty to see and do, you run out of energy before you run out of things to do!

Congratulations to the proprietors, it really shows you care!

Visited with 4 & 8 year old. Pre booked tickets which saved money and spead up entry a little. Well run facilities with lots of areas, suggest skipping first bit of Zoo as everyone seemed to go very slow at the beginning. We did many of the Hello Kitty rides at lunchtime as no queues at all bit even later they weren't too bad. Overall very good and we much. Preferred here over Peppa Pig world. Well worth a visit

My husband adopted me an otter here at Christmas which has been a good reason to visit twice so far this year! It is a lovely day out for children. You don't need to worry about visiting and seeing nothing as at more or less every enclosure you have a good view of the animals. The meerkats, penguins and otters are highlights for us. There are good walk through areas with lemurs and lorikeets. There is an excellent children's playground at the end with water play areas, Thomas train and Hello Kitty ride. The explorer's restaurant is a bit average and we couldn't find anything we fancied eating there but had coffee from the Starbucks hatch instead. Very good day out but bring a picnic.
