More animals than I had expected to see and great viewing windows. The tunnels under the meerkats were superb for my two year old.
The Thomas train was ridden several times at no extra cost.
The adventure playground is mainly for older children.
Food was expensive as usual with these places.
On the whole a great day.

I was really impressed with the way it’s been improved since I came in the nineties. The play area is amazing for kids, very safe and lots of fun. Especially the wooden play park which is humungous, with two sections for smaller kids and older kids..I thought all the monkeys were amazing and it was great going when the babys had just been born. The bat enclosure was impressive, to see bats that close. The meerkat mountain was very child friendley with underground tubes leading to a plastic viewing section underneath the enclosure. I was impressed with the challenges that you can do like standing on one foot like a flamingo and seeing how loud you can shout. Brilliant for young chrildren and adults who enjoy animalsI. have no complaints!

This a a great day out for all ages. The animals are great to look at but all the added games and activities really bring the visit to life. Seeing how fast you can run or shout and comparing it to an animal really helps children (and adults) understand the animalas skills more. There are plenty of toilets near to everything which is great if you are with little ones and the baby changing facilities were all very clean and easy to find.

We all loved the playground and there is equipment for children all ages (even the grown up ones). The thomas ride was good too as the little questions and answers all the way round made it more interactive.

All the staff were all very polite and helpful and we could have stayed even longer, not even the rain put a dampener on our day.

Thank you very much! We'll be back soon!

We took our 3 year old grandchild to Drusillas on a rainy day. The weather didn't spoil our enjoyment of the animals and activities at all.
She was so pleased to see Peppa Pig who was visiting that day and had 3 rides on Thomas the Tank Engine all at no extra cost. She was fascinated to get close to the animals, especially the lemurs and we all enjoyed the informative feeding times.
Our lunch was very good quality and value and gave her the energy for a full afternoon's activities in the Go Bananas play area finishing with two trips around the new maze which she loved.

To keep a three year old amused from 10 o'clock to six o'clock is quite an achievement . Well done Drusillas! We thought it excellent value

We visited in August 2011 we had the whole day at the park enjoying all the facilities and the animals. We had an amazing day the animals were great they all were enjoying themselves !! it was lovely to see a zoo that had lots of electronic interaction around the park for the chidren as this did keep everyone fully engaged. Our daughter really enjoyed watching the older children playing on the fantastic outdoor adventure area. We can not wait to visit next year .

Such a well run attraction. Everything has been thought of and the children just loved every minute. It must be said, although you would think it was aimed at the young, there is something for all ages to see and do. We will return!

We got our tickets paid for by Tesco ClubCard vouchers, but even if we had paid the full £45 for the three of us and our 10 month old it would have still been value for money. The weather was fantastic, which always makes a difference. This made it possible for us to use the paddling pool. If you get a good day, the paddling pool can be a two hour session. Our three year old loves Thomas the Tank Engine and we had two rides on him and could have done more. Having a stamp for each of the animals kept him interested and for his age that is saying something. Drusillas is probably more ideal for a 5 year old and we will definitely be going back in a few years time.

Drusilla’s Park is a great day out for all the family.
The members of staff were helpful and friendly. We were impressed by the amount of parking and at how well the park was laid out. There were lots of viewing places to see the animals.
Being able to walk in a few of the animal pens was a wonderful experience especially for the children.
Lots of food places, but we took a picnic in and had plenty of space to sit & eat.
The Zoolympics Challenge is a great idea, where you can compare your abilities to the animals. We especially liked seeing how long you can hang on and how fast you could run.
The children loved the petting zoo, where you can even groom the goats.
Thomas the Tank Engine railway was exceptionally popular, taking around three minutes to go round the park.
We stayed for a good 4-5 hours and were entertained all the time.
If you are looking for a great day out with all the family we would definitely recommend Drusilla’s.

I had lovely day at Drusillas. There is so much to see & do. Everything is well signposted and the whole area is very very clean. The animals are clearly very well looked after. All the staff are polite and appear to be enjoying their jobs. Lunch in your main restaurant was a big surprise, the food was well cooked and very nice and very fairly priced. A great day out for all ages.

This place is a breath of fresh air. It has so many little details that make it an amazing day out for kids and adults alike.
One of the things I love about it is that it has little stairs at each of the zoo windows / cages so they kids can climb up and see the animals without me having to haul them up every time. Simple but brilliant.
The adventure playgrounds are amazing and makes me want to be a kid again. Its also great that they have a section for younger children (under 6) that is separate and fenced off so they can't get out.
The food is expensive for what it is but this is the same in any attraction like this. They do provide picnic areas but I think they are mainly outside the park. There are a few snack places around.

Once pet peeve about anywhere like this is that when they charge a fee (and its quite a lot of money) to get in then I think its just rude to have lots of rides inside that you have to pay extra for. Beware, this place has lots of additional extras!! Its very hard for parents to say no to kids in that environment and its just not fair. We have paid a price to come in, leave it at that, don't make us spend another small fortune, because we just won't come back again.

This is the second time we have been here and we will be coming back, I just wish we lived closer.

We had an excellent day out at Drusillas Park. The children were all curious to see the animals. This was our first time to a zoo, so seeing many animals for the first time previously only seen in books and pixar films was a great novelty. For contrast the adventure playgrounds designed for older children and pre-schoolers worked well for our boys in burning up energy. They particularly loved the Thomas ride and our 4 year old thought Peppa pig very realistic. Everything very clean and tidy (no toilet smell in the toilet!) along with courteous and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend for a very full day trip out.

Had a wonderful day, there's so much to do. It's a full day out.
The layout is great, you are guided through all of the animals, which is both fun and educational for the children. The girls loved stamping all of their books when they saw the animals. You can also feed the parrots, they sit on your arm whilst you feed them special nectar which the children loved.
There's lots of fun , engaging and entertaining things to do and see along the zoo route. The adventure park was excellent with lots of swings, slides and climbing frames etc they loved the zipwire. The ride on Thomas was great, we have photos of the girls on the front of the train.
There's a great paddling pool, I would recommend anyone going to take swim things.
It was a full day out and we will definitely be going back soon.

We visited whilst on holiday in the area and we had such a fantastic day the kids didnt want to leave and havent stopped talking about what fun they had. It was a bit expensive but then so are many attractions and for us it was money well spent. The whole park was well thought out and the facilities were excellent. They had thought of everything with clean baby changing areas to a picnic and play area near the car park so you could eat and not have to carry the picnic around all day. I like the idea that it was also educational and my 2 older children enjoyed competing in the animal olympics.

We discovered the place by brochure which gave us the impression that our son would be able to see Thomas and other engines running as it is currently his favourite. Unfortunately there was only Thomas doing the errand and holding very long queue which lasted all day. Queueing with a toddler for this length of time is a nightmare especially in the heat of the sun, so there was no way he could go on a ride. For a first time visitor with our under 2 YO son, we find the place a bit disorientating to start with. Though of course we came at peak time (2nd week of Aug.) so it was very crowded and we feel we need to restrict our son and not allow him to walk about which was frustrating for him in so many ways. Prices as well are on the expensive side.

Having said all that it would be lovely to come back here when our son is a bit older and be able to have freedom to explore and enjoy the surroundings and what the zoo offers. The place is very well thought out, variety of activities for older children, facilities are great, and a well laid out zoo.

Best family day out EVER! Something for everyone, Excellent value for money, Staff who cannot do enough for you and actually looked like they wanted to be there, Fantastic set up, Online booking & Admissions couldn't be more well organised.

Have visited many places inc Marwell which is on my doorstep...Never again, will always go to Drusillas from now on! We arrived at opening time and kids had to drag me out 8 hours later at closing.

Hint 1...Look on website for discounted entry by booking online and BOGOF meal vouchers for the restaurants!

Hint 2...On arrival forget the zoo and head to the play things and take a trip on Thomas as everyone does zoo first then you'll have exclusive use, by the afternoon head to zoo and you'll get exclusive use there too as others have all headed to play bit by then!!!!

Cannot recommend it enough....

...YOU MUST GO!

We are members so don't have to pay the gate price. If you visit be prepared it is very expensive. Even the membership is expensive for what this park is (considering Longleat is only a little more expensive and far superior).
Drusillas is a nice zoo though with small animals only, plenty of monkeys and not a lot else really, young children love the play areas which is large and well equipped. There is also a Thomas the Tank Engine train which is free to go on (takes about 4-5 mins). Food can be expensive (unfortunately only to be expected).
Would be nice for some larger animals but space is tight at Drusillas as it is a very small zoo. If you are thinking of a visit then definately go, if you live within a couple of hours and will visit more than twice a year then membership is a good idea because I would feel cheated to pay the full admission price for a family more than once.

Spent the day here with the kids, first half of the day we went around the zoo. As has been said, no big animals but plenty of interesting small ones to keep our children interested. The Beaver, Fennec Foxes and Serval's being their favourites. In the afternoon they spent their time in the play area and enjoyed themselves. After this area are a few things you pay extra for, although not too expensive. We paid for a game of crazy golf which was ok. After this we went back through the zoo quickly and it was nice and quiet.
They provide an "Animal Olympics" booklet that the children both completed, we posted them on the day and certificates were waiting by the time we got home. They also provide a spotters book that you stamp.
All in all a good park. We paid using Tescos vouchers, I would possibly have scored less if we paid full price.

We visited Drusillas again this April after about a two year absence and were pleasantly surprised that the zoo has got so much better. The improvements to park zoo have made a big difference to our visits with brand new toilets, major developments of the playground with some fantastic new equipment for children of all ages and of course the zoo itself has had improvements with a new bird enclosure where you can feed Nectar to the birds, lots of fun! We bought an annual gold membership as it gives the children free goes on climbing, panning for gold, crazy golf and dinodig. If you're coming to Eastbourne on holiday and have kids this is a must visit venue!

We chose to go to Drusillas during the weekday as we have been warned that it can be extremely busy at the weekends. It was a great day out for all of us. We thought that the entrance fees are quite pricey, but once we are in. We understand why. The place is very clean and well maintained. The animals look happy, and well looked after. There are a massive play area near the cafes. The food offered was average. We noticed that every single members of the staff that we have met was so friendly. My daughters love the ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay extra to get into a few things at the very back of the park. Otherwise, it is very enjoyable experience.

Now we live in Scotland there are no zoo type attractions so whenever we are in Sussex we gi to Drucillas. This zoo has been updated since our last visit 2 years ago - all done brilliantly !! The "open" areas for some of the animals put you right in the middle of the action. The play area is amazing and even though it started raining, the indoor play area was great! The only negative is the entry price - maybe adults should pay less than the kids ?!

We had a fabulous time at Drusilla’s. We went in June; we found the way to Drusilla’s very easily as it was well signposted with plenty of parking.

Four of us went, 2 children of 6 and 2 and a mother and a grandmother.

We helped ourselves to the FREE booklets to take part in the different activities around the animal park – the zoolympics challenge and stamping the book every time we saw an animal. The girls really enjoyed being able to spot the animals and finding the picture in the book. They also enjoyed taking part in certain challenges, like screaming as loudly as possible or holding their breath or running as fast as they can.

We also queued up to go on the Thomas the Tank Engine train, the queue was quick and the train rides were quite often. All the way round we got to spot different characters, (my children aren’t fans of Thomas the tank engine but they still really enjoyed the ride).

We went to the outside play area where they did some trampolining, swung on swings, went on the slides, climbed the climbing frames, drove a stationary truck, and went on the zip wire. There was so much choice in the play areas that we could have spent all our time just there

We fed the parrots in lory landing, which the 2 year old found so fascinating, we saw penguins swimming, flamingos, otters, meerkats, monkeys, owls, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, bats, goats, pigs, cows and so many more animals.

We stopped for lunch and there was plenty of choice available from sandwiches, to hot food or salad bar, they catered for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. There was a lot of choice available and good value for money.

We found the staff really friendly even when my youngest had an accident at the table and they were very kind and polite at clearing it up.

We had our pushchair with us, and there were plenty of places to park it, while participating in different activities without getting in the way.

We felt the park was really well thought out and catered for all ages, there was plenty of accessibility for wide pushchairs, and lots of toilet facilities dotted around the park.
We didn’t get a chance to go in the swimming area as the weather wasn’t warm enough. There were also other outside eating areas available.

Before I went I was anxious thinking it maybe one of those typical days out with a pushchair and a young child, where it ends in tiredness, tears and frustration when you can’t squeeze past people with a pushchair, but it was nothing like that. The park has been well thought out and designed for families.

I think it really is an excellent day out well worth it and we are planning to go back again in August and I wouldn't hesitate in telling others about it!

Drusillas has all you could want from a day out! Starting with a tour around the zoo, there are a lot of different animals and birds for the children to look at and interactive activities to keep them interested. Move on to a fabulous indoor and outdoor playarea, a ride on Thomas and a dip in the pool! A nice size and easy to get around so little legs don't get tierd. An all round good day out and you have enough time to do everything.

bad reviews saying very expensive- yes it wasnt cheap (or too expensive) but you can see where the money is being spent- plenty for kids to do. Clean, good food, friendly- helpfull staff. Drusillas is aimed at kids- we had a 2year old- 6 year old & a 12 year old with us, not once did they say im bored or i want to go now- lots of information about the animals & they were well looked after. As for not being sign posted very well- we found it no problem & there was also a bus service available to & from Berwick station.

The Thomas ride was adequate for kids- its a park for kids so reviews should be based on the kids experience. Overall the kids had a great time & that was what we were there for- my son loved meeting Thomas & getting his picture taken. in his words -"It was super cool" (age6) & my daughter- age 12 (that age when your too cool for Thomas)- said she had a great day & would go back.

One other thing- there is wheelchair access on Thomas (we didnt need it but just incase you do)

Well done to all the staff- keep up the good work. Will recommend to friends.
