"This Park is superb.
All the Staff extremely courteous.
Place immaculate, no litter and the toilets were excellent, if you have to take a toddler in with you there is room for both! The extra toilet seat for little people was a great idea. Very Good and weill organised. 4 year old twin grandchildren loved it, and we could picnic with our own food which made the day manageable ''

We are firm fans of Drusillas. It is an excellent venue for the children, in terms of fun and education. It never sits on its laurels but is always looking to add new attractions and to improve its customers' experiences. Its popularity is well earned. Plan to go for the whole day.

’Very impressed with this Park. It is our first visit but won’t be our last. We loved that the focus is on the kids, especially in the toilets with the child friendly seat, sinks, soaps and dryers. We have just got our daughter used to using the ‘big toilet’ so this was a great help!

We arrived early with our Grandson and so managed to get straight in with no queues. At 3.5 years he is a 'Thomas' fanatic and so trips on the train were the first order of the day. He [and we] thought that was great !
To our consternation he decided that he would try the 'Penguin Plunge' and fearlessly tackled this very high slide - over and over again.
We looked on anxiously and consoled ourselves with the delicious fresh baked doughnuts [worth a visit for these alone!]
A walk round the zoo kept us all amused and glimpses of Thomas, James and Cranky Crane kept our grandson very happy.
A final visit to the climbing apparatus left him and us all exhausted.
The whole park is well organized, clean and informative. It is also compact enough to always have something of interest to see every time you turn a corner.
Highly recommended.

Went to Drusilla's on one of the hottest days of the year and discovered this is a perfect place to chill out in the sunshine with young children!

We went with our 2 year old daughter who really enjoyed the Thomas train and the meercat tunnel/lookout; and who was then super delighted to cool off in the outdoor paddling pool!

We'd been deliberating whether to go for a while because the entry prices are fairly high for a day out, but the amazing play area and the well thought out zoo trail with loads of interactive points for the kids more than made up for it. Don't expect the big zoo animals (lions, giraffes, elephants) but there's plenty of variety to make up for that.

Can't wait to visit again in the summer....we have 1 delighted daughter who'll be talking about the trip for a while yet!!

We were visiting Sussex for a week of the Easter holidays and went to Drusilla's using Tesco vouchers. My 6 year old and 3 year old had a brilliant time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of them around if you needed information. There was so much to do, and we enjoyed it so much that we had to return for another visit during our holiday week.

The range of animals that they have is very impressive, and they all have large, clean enclosures and seem well cared for. We saw lots of little baby monkeys clinging to mummy monkeys backs which were just adorable. My kids loved doing the animal spotter's book and the Zoolympics challenge book, both of which are included in your entry price, you just have to pick them up. These are a really good idea. There's a lot of information given throughout the park about the animals, and the walk-through lemur park is amazing, try to go as we did at feeding time (3pm) as the lemurs are very active then and come right up to you.

The attractions are brilliantly done, the Thomas the Tank Engine ride, and the Maze were big favourites, and we also paid the extra to do the Dino Dig, Mini Golf and the bouncy castle. The paddling pool is just great for kids up to about 8 years old, and all of the play areas are just brilliant! You are not lost for things to do!

We brought a picnic for lunch and there is plenty of space in the picnic area to have a picnic bench or to put out picnic rug on the floor. We had an early dinner before leaving the park at 6pm, which consisted of hot dogs and veggie burgers from the oasis cafe. We found the food was top-notch and really reasonably priced. There is one HUGE sweet shop which could have been tricky for our kids, but we managed to persuade them that they'd much prefer to have a tattoo or a face paint instead. They both got tattoos, which were done in a cute little craft workshop opposite the maze. They offer lots of different craft things there and the staff deserve an accolade. It was a very busy day, but they were really welcoming and good with the children.

The tattoos were a big hit and worth the money (£3 each I think). Personally, I could have stood and watched the Servals all day, they are beautiful...and the nearby animatronic singing animals are hilarious. And don't miss the ceramic frogs in the pond near the Thomas shop, they squirt you when you're least expecting it!

This is a really brilliant place, I highly recommend it! We'll definitely be going back!

I love Drusillas and so do my kids! Yes it isn't cheap but there's a lot of maintenance, animals to keep and staff to pay. The amount of attractions there are more than enough to fill a whole day and so of course the season ticket represents even better value for money.

To those people moaning about how expensive it is, have you been to Thorpe Park, Legoland or Chessington recently where entry for a family of four is double what it costs at Drusillas!

The site itself has ample parking and you don't have to walk too far to get to the park. The park itself was clean, bright and well kept. There were lots of excellent educational elements, many of them interactive - my 6 year old enjoyed being able to discover information about the animals all by herself. The animal enclosures looked well maintained, clean and big enough for the animals housed in them, and we were able to see every single animal that lives at the park because the enclosures have been designed so that small children can see into them very easily. We ate at the Explorer Cafe and my meal was delicious, cooked very well and very good value taking into account that prices at places like Drusillas are normally higher than they would be on the high street. My daughter's sandwich box meal was amazing. I have never seen so much food put into a kids meal! Really good value. The adventure play areas are amazing and very challenging for kids and adults alike - climbing up to highest slide was better than a work out at the gym! I really enjoyed my day out at Drusillas and my daughter had such a great time, she wants to go back! Every single member of staff that we encountered was helpful, polite and friendly. I would definately recommend Drusillas Park to anyone who has children!

Great day out for families. Begins with an interesting zoo trail which keeps the children and adults interested then you can spend the rest of the day in the biggest adventure play area I've ever seen. Loads of picnic tables and also a Thomas train.

Drusillas Park has never failed to give us an exciting day out. Full of great activities and information as you go around the Zoo and an amazing park area for the kids to finish off on. We love it there.

We visited with the famly including my 7 year old son who had a wonderful day. We've been to many attractions and thought this was one of the best we've been to. Brilliant value for money. The zoo was great, all of the animals looked happy and healthy and VERY clean and tidy. The staff were all nice and friendly and really helpful. The resturant was clean with good meals - a little expensive but worth it.

Haven’t been here for approx 10 years! Much improved and glad to see that you haven’t lost that educational touch – we learnt so much ourselves! Nice quiet visit today. Very clean and well kept enclosures, and all the animals look happy and healthy – although the sun was out and it makes us all feel better!”

We visited in August 2010 with our 2 & 4 year old sons and they had a fantastic time; we were there from 10am to 4pm and even then they didn't want to leave! There is so much to see and do, that it does offer value-for-money. However, I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness, particularly the toilets (near the play area) which were exceptional. I also noticed small pieces of litter continually being picked up in the playground area. As a parent, this type of attention-to-detail does inspire confidence.

We spend the whole day here - got here at 10am and left at last orders and were not bored or bothered for a moment. The zoo part is well kept, varied and always interesting. The lemur enclosure gives you a real chance to get up and close. The outside play area had been extended since the last time we came (in 2007) - even more fun. The food we bought was good value for money and all the staff really friendly.

On Saturday 25 Sept 2010, my sister-in-law and I took both our nieces, one aged six and the other eight; us being in our forties (just). We turned up at the park to be greeted by a gentleman guiding us to the right place to park, very short distance from the entrance. We queued for all of five minutes, paid to get in at the desk and great idea having those throw away cameras there as I had forgot mine.

From then on it was fun, not just for the little ones, but for us too. We followed the guiding path around the Zoo part and was amazed at all the great animals we could see and to be so close was fantastic for the small ones. We noticed the place was spotlessly clean and everything was just so organised for your convenience.

The play area had so much for any aged child to do and it all felt so safe with the spongy floor coverings under most of the apparatus. The idea that all this was centralisated in one big area and around where the sweet shop and cafe were, was great.

We also found the cafe very good, staff were efficient and friendly, lots of choices available, especially loved the fact we could have a jacket potatoe rathe than just having chips. We were served very quickly, all the all the food tasted great and was very reasonably priced.

After lunch we then wondered on the route and the little ones just loved the maze; we could not get them to come out as were having so much fun. We then moved on and all of us played crazy golf, this was nice to be able to do something all of us together and again the little ones commented on how they really enjoyed this.

Came across a bouncy castle so the little ones went on that and tired themselves out a bit and we all then went into another cafe. We had some drinks and snacks, children went in bouncy ball area, all did our last visit to the toilet as now time about 4.50pm.

Went across to the shop and brought some lovely furry characters for them, good choice of things to buy and not too expensive compared to some places.

We came out of the shop and the little ones said they were tired, it was then we realised we were actually right in front of the exit, which was great, it could not have flowed any better.

We got the car and had no problems at all getting out of the park as all arrows pointing and cars following in the right place.

We all said in the car what an excellent day we had and what a wonderful experience.

Drusilla’s is truly one of the best zoos/theme parks I have been to in the UK. The main things that stood out were:

The ease of getting around and following a route so you see everything – it just flowed.
How clean the place was and fresh looking.
How friendly and helpful all the staff were.
Despite being quite busy, it did not feel overcrowded and you could always find a quite area if you wanted to.

Overall 10 out 10 and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Thank you to you all for a great day and for allowing me to share such a wonderful experience with my special niece, Poppy.

I last visited Drusillas in the 1990s and enjoyed it then but it's even better now!
The Lemur experience is amazing and we enjoyed seeing so many animals close up. A
wonderful family day out!

We particularly enjoyed the range of activities for the under 5s and thought the children's play areas catered for all ages. The layout also ensured smaller visitors won't get bored.

Everything about Drusillas was fantastic! Having a Park near the car park is genius. The whole layout of the Park is brilliant and thoroughly thought out. Love the animals and especially love the spotter books where kids can stamp when an animal has been seen. There are many interactive stations along the way with lots of educational facts and fun things to learn and do. Thomas the tank engine was fantastic and the play areas were amazing. Great facilities (clean toilets) and excellent range of food!! Excellent value for money and so much to see and do!! We cant wait to go again and it's all the children have spoke about since returning home! Well done Druisillas!!

LOADS AND LOADS to do with the kids and plently to keep the adults interested too.

Loved the maze and the little paddle pool (even though it was a bit too cold for us to do in!)
We took the ride with Thomas and got all our stamps in the little books they give out, (which are brilliant fun for the kids to keep them interested in spotting the animals, and not just running through to the play area)
The play area was massive with loads of different things for different ages, all in all you could see Drusillas have invested a lot of time effort and money into there park and it really shows.
It does seem a bit expensive at first but its well worth it!

Scanned this very page as I fully trust this site and have to say I nearly blew Drusillas out, some reviews very bad and the management responses pretty cliche.

However we went and had a great time. Loads of animals to see and the playground is vast - more than enough to fill a day.

I would say that the price is ridiculous. All very well the management comparing it to the prices of theme parks, but theme parks have far more and are more excirting and therefore command a higher fee. Me, my wife and son came to £43 but hey, a special 'family of three' ticket is £41. Wow, thanks guys. £41 to see some animals and go on some swings is a bit steep.

I imagine the cost of upkeep is vast hence the price.

Three other things - don't eat there, too expensive. Don't go if not a dry day, there is virtually nothing indoors, 90% of the fun is outside. Wasp problem - loads of them, more than at most other places we have visited on hot summer days.

Moan over, and lastly to sum up I have to say your kids will adore it. Great staff, great place. Poor value but still a hugely enjoyable day out.

Went as a family group, 2 grandparents under consession age, 1 parent and 3 children. Total cost approx. £85 YES £85. Luckily our daughter had Tesco vouchers to the value of £70. Once over the shock we joined the masses (last day of school holls). Fairly small zoo with small animals. Well worth coming back to see them later before you go home, when the crowds have eased off. Loved the meerkats. Really good play area and one for younger kids. All park seemed to be very clean even loos. Ample facillities for all ages. Take your own food and drinks as a bit pricey (bottle of watrer £1-35 !) although coffee was £1-60 Very short train ride, not worth the long wait in the ever lengthening queue. . Will not be going again, not at those prices. Basically it's an over rated play park on a small piece of land charging everyone from the age of 2 YES 2 the same entrance fee. I'm sure if you live local an annual ticket would be worth while but as a one off visit it's not worth the cost.
