We went to Drusillas mid August to go around the zoo, on the rides and I paid for a meet the meerkats experience. Despite the rain my two 8 year olds and myself had such a great time! We haven’t visited for a while and I was pleased to see how the park has continued to modernise and keep the attractions relevant. The one way layout of the park lends itself to social distancing and there were plenty of signs, radio announcements and hand sanitisers around. Meeting the meerkats was a highlight despite the weather, with the lady who showed us around clearly loving her job 👍 Made me realise how much food the park needs to buy in to feed the animals, so I would encourage people to support otherwise parks like this one won’t survive. Throughly recommended! 😁

My 9 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed being a ‘Keeper for the day’. It was a fantastic hands on experience, full of amazing opportunities with a friendly and knowledgeable member of staff. Highly recommended for children and adults!

My daughter recently did the Keeper for the Day experience. It was amazing, she absolutely loved it, and had such a fantastic experience that she will never forget. The keeper was so knowledgeable and friendly, and went out of her way to make my daughter feel comfortable. She saw and fed so many animals, the meerkats and beavers were her absolute favourties. I would definately recommend this to any animal lover - not just children!

We spent the most enjoyable day at Drusillas
The staff were really lovely and very diligent with the current covid regulations. We saw constant cleaning throughout the day. Signs and hand sanitizer were readily available.
We have been isolated from our granson for over 4 months and this was a perfect day for us to reconnect. We felt very safe and relaxed all day.
The range of animals is excellent, i loved them all
Everyone involved should be congratulated.
Our grandson had a great time
Thank you

A brilliant day out for the family and loads of things to keep the little ones entertained. Mine is particularly fond of the rides which are also included in the entry fee.
We always eat there too as the food is great quality and service is always prompt and polite.

They have really embraced the Covid issues too with ample sanitiser dispensers accessible around the whole park.

There aren’t many places you can spend all day doing a variety of things that never seem to get boring for little ones.

Would highly recommend visiting.

Went with my 10 year old and 7 year old. Last time was visited was around 3 years ago and this is still just as good for them. They loved it. If going during these crazy times and you want to go to the splash park my tip is to get there early and head straight to the splash park first to get your time slot. We arrived at around 10.30am and they were already on the 3pm to 3.30pm slot. All in all a great day also if you go during this month on a Monday to Wednesday you get the Eat Out to Help Out discount on food and drinks....so a big plastic slush drink costs around £1.80 and refills are 50p!!!! Bargain.

We have been to Drusillas many times as we are local! We had memberships which meant we could go anytime we wanted! My daughters favourite part was all the rides! They’re great for kids big and small!
Definitely recommend a visit to Drusillas 😁

Me and my husband have been to Drusillas many years ago now we have a daughter who is now 5 whilst we were on holiday decided to visit Drusillas.
We booked online, turnt up at 10.30 to an enormous queue to get in which was all the way into the overflow carpark. It took 30minutes to get in, it was rather a hot day too. Once in we went straight too the water park to grab an wristband for a time to go in and upon arrival told they had run out as fully booked but luckily had 3 spaces available at that moment so we took it.
The zoo was great plenty of animals to see and plenty of educational facts. There was lots to do after our daughter really like hello kitty world. The toilets throughout the park was clean, the staff were helpful and it was an enjoyable day out. Apart from personally even though it is running at 50% capacity it still felt overcrowded to maintain social distancing, long waits to see some animals and it needed alot more seating areas in shaded areas.

We are annual pass holders and we have been so impressed at how the park has responded to the current situation. We cannot fault their attention to detail and the hygiene and cleanliness measures they have put in place recently.
We also love that there is something new almost every year at Drusillas. The new dinosaurs have been a Huge hit with my 3yr old and he hasn't stopped talking about them since we visited last. He is especially excited about the water spraying Dino!
The fact the rides are included in the price is a huge plus too and means our annual memberships can be used for a whole day, or just a quick visit to the park and the rides. The best of both worlds and the all year access, even to just the soft play in winter, is brilliant.

I have a visually impaired, ASD 3yr old son, and the access pass system and disabled and carer membership is of huge benefit to us, and makes life just that little bit easier, when at other places it isn't always the case.

If you're looking for a good, fun day out with lots of things to explore, which is accessible and inclusive for all, then Drusillas is for you :)

Having visited Drusillas several times recently, we have now decided to become members!! Its a lovely place to go as a family, and has a great range of animals and loads for the kids to do including the rides , my little boy loves driving the cars, and little girl all of them especially the Hopper.
Admittedly at the moment it is difficult to maintain the social distancing with the kids. Drusillas have detailed everything clearly but several adults dont seem to be able to adhere to it.
One day that stands out is when we spent alot of time in hello kitty, and the 3 girls in the area Maria , Sam and mya were doing all they could to maintain the social distancing and still smiled each time we went on the rides, they are a credit to the park and helped us feel as safe as we could , despite the other members of Public!
One thing I would suggest is more shade, especially in queue lines it is needed on hot days, and maybe separate kiosks for drinks and slush to save a half hour queue for refil.

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt I had to after today’s visit at Drusilla’s and reading the extremely harsh comments below. My nephews were visiting us for the summer holidays and so we decided to take them to Drusillas for the day for the first time. It was a total hit as they absolutely loved it! I must admit we were a little anxious before visiting however it’s evident a lot of hard work has gone into making the public feel as safe as possible. The staff were really friendly and made us feel extremely safe in helping us navigate the correct zoo route. There were floor markers and hand sanitizers across the park and when visiting the cafe at lunch, the staff were constantly wiping down the tables. The park didn’t feel over crowded which made it a lovely environment to have time to appreciate the animals and not feel rushed. It’s evident the animals are all cared for very well and it was amazing for the kids to see new animals, particularly the red panda who they LOVED! Not only that but ‘Jurassic Jungle’ proved to be another hit. Persuading two boys to leave that was hard work!
They have already asked when they can come back down south to visit. Although, not to to visit their auntie but the zoo! Keep up the good work guys!

Drusillas we love you!
We have had annual membership for 4 years now and it’s the best money we have ever spent.
No matter what the weather or time of year we enjoy a an hour or a day at the Zoo.
I was worried about coming back post COVID but I have to say I was so impressed.
Plenty of hand sanitisers around the zoo and play areas. All the staff I saw had a cloth and spray and would be wiping down chairs and play equipment.
We are not living in normal times at the moment but you have brought back some normality to our lives.
A huge well done and thank you to all your staff for making us feel so safe.

A fantastic little zoo that has almost everything that you could want for a family day trip. The animals are clearly very well cared for with excellent enclosures. There are also fair rides.

I went with my mum and 2 boys. We had an amazing day. The staff were all so nice and helpful, hand sanitiser and signs up everywhere. We saw all the animals and my boys loved the information. We really enjoyed the rides with such well thought out queues. The water play we had a lovely timed slot and the play areas meant we were there till closing. It truly was a totally outstanding day out. Thank you Drusillas. I was really worried Before going and sometimes areas looked busy but actually so well managed we were able to distance safely.

Very disappointed, after spending over a £120 to get in there appeared to be no social distancing. Markers were in place but no one policing it anywhere. The indoor areas and one way system should have had the numbers limited, so it was impossible to enjoy a lot of areas. It spoilt what was our first day out in 5 months. It was also disappointing to find that all food outlets were doing the same menu and thank goodness for the ‘Eat out to help out’ promotion, it cost £49 for meals and drink (£3.00 for a can of Tango, reduced to £1.50 was extortionate). Won’t be going again!

Had a great time with my wife and 6 year old son, booked online as a family of 3 saved £20 great start! Looked busy on arrival with a big queue but queue moved quickly and took only 10 minutes to enter the park. COVID 19 signage is excellent with hand sanitiser everywhere so this place is COVID safe in my opinion and they could not do anymore. The zoo, parks and rides are great and make Drusillas a place to visit if in the area!

We love going to Drusillas, it’s
Such a fun day out. There’s loads to do and see. Most rides allow small children and toddlers. They have zoo keeper for the day at extra costs. Lovely little train rides too. They have a playground and water park. They have restaurants in the park and the food is decent just a tad pricey for what you get. Loads of free parking too. very assessable for wheelchairs and prams. Its one of our favourite days out. Would definitely recommend. The only issue we had this time round was the bird feeding station. The doors were open so we proceeded to go in, the male keeper Working rudely said we open in two minutes please go back out and come back when it was open, once we go out he aggressively locked all the doors then put a sign up saying the enclosure was closed for the day. which I thought was extremely rude and was unsure whether to come back or not to the enclosure. Other then that we had a great day.

I was anxious about going to a zoo park during the covid pandemic, but I was pleasantly surprised and reassured.

We arrived at 10:15am and there was no queue at the entrance. We were advised to collect our splash park timed wristbands straight away, so headed there first and had a choice of half hour slots.

The park had clearly tried hard to implement social distancing measures, with hand sanitisers, facemasks in shops, one-way systems and announcements. A few areas of the park felt a bit busy including the zoo and the splash park (we were less concerned here as the water is chlorinated). However, we were able to maintain social distancing and moved away from the occasional other person who seemed oblivious to covid-19. We opted to eat our picnic in a quiet corner of the park and away from the busy picnic tables in the centre.

There was a large selection of zoo animals, all of which looked contented and well-cared for, and a clearly marked one-way system.

Our children queued for no more than 8 minutes to go on any rides, and a few of them were so empty that they went round 5-6 times in one go! We found the staff pleasant and keen to stick to safety measures (i.e. the use of sanitisers, cleaning rides on the hour).

Our boys had a fantastic day out and left the park exhausted with big smiles on their faces.

Great variety of animals. Cute red panda, Chilean fancy flamingoes, cheeky meerkats, slow sloths, noisy otters. Most enclosures are well kept and make for a good day out for children and adults.

We visited 17th July with 2 of our grandchildren. We were a little apprehensive beforehand due to the virus but we need not have worried. The park was very clean and hand sanitizers everywhere. The staff were very good and helpful. The rides being cleaned over and over. Social distancing in place too. The splash pool was open but we didn’t try that as the 5 year old told me she wanted to stop now as she was getting tired. They had been on the rides more than once and round the zoo. Finished up with a visit to the shop for their souvenir toy! We were blessed with a lovely sunny day and really pleased we went .
