Revisited Drusillas after nearly 20 years, it’s still brilliant for kids, but at £83 for a family of four a little pricey.
However the cost of running that place must be horrific.

Great parking, with lots of room between cars.
We took food with us which we left in the car. They simply stamp your hand so you can come back in again.

All in all it’s a must if you have young kids. But do ask around your friends first to see if they have any money off vouchers.

Hi, I visited today with my 10 year old autistic Son plus my sister and her son. We didint stay for hours as my son was becoming anxious due to how busy it was, but the time we did spend there was superb. I wanted to say how welcoming, the park is for disabled visitors, I don't know another attraction locally that offer a ride pass, the difference that makes is fantastic, no meltdowns ,no having to explain over and over again why we queue, plus like some attractions it's as though you have to go into detail and explain your child's disability, it was so simple with yourselves, I provided the proof ,it was accepted and that was that. These maybe little things to some people, but when your a parent/carer of a child with a disability these things make a huge difference. Thank you for making out time spent there ,enjoyable and practically stress free. Will definitely recommend the park to friends and family..

Took our three grandsons, 5, 6 and 7 years old, all of them thoroughly enjoyed it and want to go again.
Well laid out zoo, the rubber stamps for the animals you see is a great idea.
The playground adventures are also good and save.
Food and toys a little overpriced but then so are all theme parks.
Would definitely go again and would recommend it.

We went to Drusillas Park with our grandchildren and one of my grand daughters little friends. What a brilliant day for pre teens it turned out to be. The small zoo is very well laid out and leads you to the play areas and cafe’s.The hello kitty area was a big hit for the kids. We left with very tired but very happy kids great day. One big tip book your tickets on line using Tesco vouchers otherwise it’s quite an expensive trip but it’s still good value even if you pay full price

As a birthday gift for our 14 year old daughter she had a wonderful time. It was amazing for her to be so close to the pandas and being able to hand feed them. Charlie the keeper was very friendly, informative and helped make it a memorable experience. We all had a great family day out at the park. One thing to note if you have purchased an animal encounter you need to go to the office and then across to the members queue rather than the day vistor queue which will make it so much quicker for your entry.

Visited today and arrived around 10.30am and had to queue around 40 minutes to get into park. Only 2 people serving at tills which is obviously not sufficient especially in school holidays. Was thankful for a toilet outside entrance!!!
Once inside we had a great day. Ate in restaurant which was really good. Great service, clean and good portion sizes.
Enjoyed rides and didn't really have to queue and splash pad and adventure playgrounds.
Found zoo interesting and also learnt a few things too. Kids liked stamping there books.
Overall great day just need to have better queuing system to get into park as felt 40 minutes was way too long to wait

I went on the spider phobia course to help with my fear of spiders. The course content was really good and the session helpful. I think if the session was longer I could have got even more from it.
I would recommend this class to anyone trying to get past their fear of spiders as it really helps

I have just taken my nephew for his birthday present for a zookeeper experience day and he absolutely loved it and said it was one of his best ever days! We were with Claire who was so lovely and had the patience of an absolute saint. We packed so much into the day - we got the opportunity to feed the meerkats, cuddle some handreared ones, feed the penguins, hand feed the capybara, hold a snake, mice, lizards and much more! We also cleaned some enclosures and got to prepare some food for the animals so he got a real experience of all the different elements. My nephew also got a zookeeper jumper to keep and a certificate which they fill out at the end for you. A great experience which he hopefully won’t forget and lovely for the adult who gets to accompany them as well.

I seldom write reviews, I could probably count the amount I’ve written on one hand.

I was so impressed with Drusillas, it is obviously run/managed by people that know what they are doing. Main point is that it’s a really nice fun day out. Aside from that it’s well structured in that the zoo is choreographed in such a way that you get to see everything in sequence straight from the entrance, almost setting out the first hour or so of the day. I think this is very clever as it helps the dispersion of people meaning less queuing on the rides etc later. It also means kids take in the whole zoo experience.

Plenty of entertainment for young children apart from the zoo. One of the best touches is that the toilets are very clean and have sanitising dispensers in each cubicle...bravo whoever insisted on that as I think it should be a legal requirement in public loos and is very rarely seen.

We revisited the zoo late afternoon, very quiet and all the animals were so active (even the sloth!)
Thanks for a great day.

Me and my 6 year old son had a brilliant day out today at Drusilla’s Park. So much to do and see and thankfully not to over crowded. A little un happy with the very over priced rides in the picnic area but thankfully there was plenty of free things to go on for me to distract my son with. We arrived at 11am and stayed right up until closing - which was just enough time to do and see everything. The park was clean and tidy with plenty of facilities.

We arrived about 10 30 parking was easy and quickly moved along the queue til we arrived at the front. We booked online so just showed the helpful lady the email on my phone and when in. It's abit crowded at first because so many people are all walking thru the same section but once your thru the first part it gets a little easier to look around we decided to take the short cut and skip some of the zoo and go 2 meet hello kitty do the train ride and have our little girls face painted (£6 for the face painting ) which was a really good idea because it wasn't half as busy as most people were still exploring the zoo. We also did the gift shop and get that out the way loads of cuddly toys and reasonably priced for a zoo. We then took the little one 2 play in the splash play area which she absolutely loved !!! could have stayed there all day if not for the weather being abit chilly . Loads of tables for picnic which we had did see people buying burgers chips ect but as always very expensive. We little one loved meeting hello kitty in her house although she was abit scared. We then went back 2 see the rest of the zoo lovely animals loved the flamingos and otters unfortunately the Lemurs were all asleep when we went thur the walkthur but that's just one of those things not the zoos fault . In all had such a lovely day was expecting it to be so busy and stressful but wasn't at all loads of staff around animals seems happy and only quened 4 about 10mins or less . Will be back thinking of coming either Halloween or Xmas x x x

If you buy online you save some money and the Park is never over crowded.

The experience is very enhanced by The friendly, helpful and kind staff (not all but the majority are so patient and helpful) and you need this type of young staff in a theme park for young children. For me this is the biggest positive point about Drusillas, that is why I travelled 1.5 hrs to visit this park for the third time.

The prices in the park are cheaper than most larger famous theme parks and most rides are free.

Parking wasn't an issue and the facilities were clean.

We were there for 5.5 hours and enjoyed the animals, rides, play grounds and activities and there were still things that we didn't have time to do.

Please vote if you find the above helpful. Thanks

Having just been a zoo in Asia it was nice to see a safe and suitable enclosure for all the species with large enclosures.

We were lucky to have an overcast slightly rainy day as the park wasn’t busy at all. We arrived at midday (due to car trouble) so went straight to main restaurant via the exit route where we were greeted by friendly staff. The food was tasty and not bad value for a park. From there we went “the wrong way round” going on the lovely rides and the little train (which was Thomas last time we went!), then the adventure playground and finally the zoo. This meant that we were practically on our own looking at the animals, so it was lovely. Our favourites were the penguins, sloths, tortoises, iguanas and python, so we sort of left the best till last. Great value day too as we used Tesco Clubcard vouchers.

Another brilliant day at Drusillas. Two grandparents and their 6 and 4 year old grandchildren went last Wednesday 15th August for five hours of fun with the animals, play area, "Get Wet" area, "Hello Kitty" and train ride. All the staff we met were so obliging and genuinely helpful and lunch in the Explorers' Café worked very well - so much better fare than one usually finds in similar parks. Difficult to see how anyone wouldn't enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the variety of the offering, the cleanliness and the joy on the children's faces. Stay away from the beach and go to Drusillas.

We took my son Noah to Drusillas Park for his 10th birthday. It was our first time there and we arrived full of anticipation as we had come specially for Noah to have an encounter with his most loved animal, a sloth.
We went as a family, myself and husband and then our three children aged 10, 7 and 20 months.
Noah’s sloth encounter was booked for 3 o clock so we arrived just after 10 am and had plenty of time to see all the amazing animals and also have a play in the playground and the wet area - we came prepared with swimmers and towels and the three children thoroughly enjoyed splashing about.
The sloth encounter was absolutely amazing and Noah was so thrilled, his zoo keeper Charlie was brilliant with him and Slothocleese (the sloth) so Noah could meet him.
I was so impressed with Drusillas- we travelled up from Southampton and it was very much worth the journey. We will definitely visit again this year.
There is literally something for everyone no matter what age. Great picnic areas, play areas, masses of animals to see and you can get pretty close to them too so you see so much more.
Prices for entry are reasonable with a discount available too if you pre book online.
In my opinion a no brainer... go explore!!

We spent the day here with young child two half years old after queuing for about twenty minutes to get in we entered the park. Lots to do and see from farm animals zoo animals and rides to have fun on. Large selection of animals who looked well looked after with clean cages and plenty of outdoor area for them to play or live in. There is a circular trail you can walk around to see the whole lot. The rides were more suited for younger children rather than older teenagers. They have cafe,s all over the park food is mostly fast food burgers hot dogs etc and typically priced for a attraction would suggest you take a picnic and your own drinks. The place is looking tired in places you can tell it has been going for a long time opened as a park in the 1920,s with attractions being added over the years

The car park was well organised with clearly marked out bays and staff to facilitate. The ticket queue was long. We arrived at 10.30am and queued for 50 minutes. This was the only disappointing thing. There could have been another till to speed things up a bit. The Tesco voucher offer of £3 for every £1 voucher was great value for money. We covered our £60 entrance fee for a family of 3 with £20 vouchers by applying online via cub card website.
The park was enjoyable. The animals in the zoo were all very healthy and larger specimens thane have seen in other zoos. There was educational interaction for our 7 year old daughter. The zoo keepers answered any questions we had about the animals.

The play area was fun. She enjoyed all the rides including Hello Kitty car and tea cups. She enjoyed the flying hippo ( similar to magic carpet ride at Chessington) and the flying cheetah. We paid £5 for the large bouncy slide and she had the opportunity to use it many times although she stopped after 3 goes.

The train ride was about 5 minutes and we queued for 10 minutes to get on. Im undecided if it was worth the wait for the train.

We brought our own picnic and there was ample seating. We did try the coffee and fresh doughnuts which were tasty.
We recommend Drusillas park for families with younger children. Its friendly and fun.

We visited as a Wedding Anniversary present and had "Close Encounters" with Lemurs and the Sloth. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our experience enjoyable. Lots of things to keep young children amused.

Nicely laid out park easy to walk around. Grandkids enjoyed it. Didn't eat here as queues to long and food didn't look appetising anyway.
Felt bit sorry for some of the animals that looked miserable in small enclosures. Rides ok but the cup and saucer ride went round twice then it was stopped. Ridiculous it lasted all of 20 seconds ! Children enjoyed the train ride around the park and meet with pepper pig.
Didn't wait too long for rides so wasn't too bad waiting. However I do think this place is very overpriced it cost £82 for two adults and two children aged 7 and 4 .
Also you have to pay extra to get a wrist band to go on the big inflatable slide. I felt this was a bit strong considering what we had paid to get in!
On way out was given some £10 discount vouchers if we revisit before 31st Dec. If they can afford to discount price for a family of 4 to £40 approx, that's all it's worth really anyway. So feels like a bit of a con to me.

I went with low expectations due to other online reviews, but despite the entrance price, I was pleasantly surprised my 2 children 3 & 6 had a smashing time. The Zoo part was fun with lots of interactive puzzles and features, the Merecat tunnel was great and the rides at the end made for very happy children and a rainy day well spent.

Keeps a young family busy all day without children getting bored or loosing interest. Train rides, animals, books to find the animals, water play if hot, soft play if wet, chance to feed animals, rides, adventure play ground, free parking and I've probably missed bits.
Love it!

Didn't think I would enjoy this zoo, sounded more of a attraction for younger children. It is definitely aimed for young children but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The zoo path was easy to follow and made sure you didn't miss any of the animals. Couple of the animals I had never seen before or at least not so active (Ant-Eater and Rock Hyraxe) You can easily miss out the children's play areas if you don't have young children. Although I have to say the children there were clearly enjoying every minute. Very impressed and surprised, would recommend.
