Had a really good day out here, so many different animals to see, my favourite part was the feeding the lorikeets. Food is reasonably priced to, play area is fantastic for kids. Just a great all rounder really definitely worth a visit.

Great younger persons zoo. A good tip is to get there early and walk round the wrong way, the beginning bottle necks really badly.

We had a great day, it was busy but my little boy still got to see all the animals that he wanted to. He is too young for many of the rides but loved the train.

Bit expensive for entry, particularly as there are things in the park that carry additional cost. Good family fun though - get there early and stay all day to get your money's worth.

We love Drusillas, the zoo is fairly large with a huge play area for the children.

The animals seem well cared for and happy most of the time. There are lots of hands on things for the kids to do around the zoo before you get to the play areas, I would recommend picking up the free zoolympics leaflets (bring a pen) and the animal spotter stamp book for the kids.

The play area is separated into an under 5s area and over 5s, and is absolutely massive with a good choice of play equipment. Indoor softplay has an under 3s area and over 3s. The under 3s is pretty limited but the rest is large with a good choice of things to do.

The rides are great for young children (up to maybe 12ish?) Although adults can ride with the children. Be prepared to queue at weekends and school holidays, particularly when the weather is nice. There is a good sized splash pad, so bring swimwear and towels.

The onsite restaurant and cafes are quite pricey (but in line with what you would expect for somewhere like this) there is a good choice of food and drinks, and the restaurant is licensed. The food is reasonably good quality. Some activities are chargeable (penguin plunge, climbing wall, panning for gold and dino dig) and are a little overpriced in my opinion.

Single day entry is expensive, so if you are going for just one day I would arrive at opening time to get best value for money. If you live near enough to visit 2 or 3 times a year, I would suggest considering membership which works out much better value. For a small charge, children up to age 12 can have a gold membership which gives free unlimited access to the chargable activities mentioned above.

The light show at christmas is brilliant, and well worth a visit. Father Christmas is his grotto are very realistic and the gifts are usually a lovely cuddly toy, but this is quite an expensive add on (I think £8 per child last year.)
