We've had some great evenings here & it is an extremely popular venue & Icon of Eastbourne.
It is in dire need of renovation.....SAVE THIS BANDSTAND.

Have seen live music there, and adverts show a number of concerts coming up in the next few months, but today, it was in a sorry state, surrounded by barriers, and had a neglected feel.

Art deco bandstand right on the beachfront. Tribute artists performing most evenings over the summer months, and then weekends over the autumn. Reasonable priced tickets, better price if bought online before the event.

Since 1935 it's been a focus for entertainment. It's still fit for purpose as we really enjoyed the ELO tribute band.

It's great how they make so much use of the place. Been to about a dozen of the tribute bands and they have all been really enjoyable and super value for money.

My 2 friends and I went there to see the Lionel Richie Band which was excellent and also the Rolling Stones Tribute Band which had disbanded and in its place was the David Bowie Tribute Band which was good. The Bandstand is quite a large outside venue; the first evening the weather was good, on the second evening the weather was colder and windy, we sadly didn't stay to the end on this occasion as the band was not as good as we expected and also we were beginning to get too cold to sit there; some people had taken blankets which was a good idea. Would we go again, yes we would as long as the weather is good it is very enjoyable.

Tribute bands galore. All genres from the Carpenters, Little Mix to Guns n Roses. Typical times 7:30 - 9:30pm. Typically cost £10. Sheltered, but can get cold (and wet if you are not undercover). No seat numbers .... just help yourself. Toilets are public toilets. Dancing welcomed! Proms and fireworks Mid week (but never been)
