The tribute acts are varied and there is something for everyone, the atmosphere is always fabulous! The 1812 is every Wednesday and features different brass and silver bands with a beautiful firework display to finish. Christmas, boxing day and new year the world's busiest bandstand host a free event too. My only concern is the queues for the bars, they should maybe consider a pre-order and collect system, or a separate beer and wine queue?

Depends on the act, you could be lucky or come across really amateurish bands

We attended a few of the tribute shows at the bandstand. They were ALL fantastic. Reasonably priced, comfortable. Only downsides 20p for a loo visit AND the bar can’t cope with demand.

Fantastic atmospheric venue with some great entertainment throughout the year, where modern blends easily with 'back in the day'. My favourite times to visit are Christmas, Boxing and NYs Days.

Very poignant plaque opposite commemorating a member of the band who played on while the Titanic sank and who used to play on this bandstand all those years ago. Take a minute in respectful contemplation

Now part of our family Boxing day routine. Get there before 11am as it get very busy very quickly, plenty of free on street parking as it's out of season. Look out for the brave folk who take to the sea for a bracing dip (not for me) I prefer taking a flask of mulled wine to enjoy whilst listening to the concert.

I wouldn't do a review on a bandstand but this is no ordinary bandstand. Built in 1935 with a blue ceiling and even for those days built in mood lighting. Radical today but built and designed 84 years ago. Great effects and cool to watch when the band plays.

Just arrived and saw a superb band rocking away at 11am, a lovely atmosphere and start to the new year. Great to see Eastbourne oldies moving, and thank you well done to the cancer research volunteers too.
