I have been to this place during my visit, and it was a charming small place to have a concert in. There are not a lot of spaces, but you can hear the music from the beach, which is good

A "not what you might expect in Eastbourne" gem! We went to the Queen tribute band concert with friends, a really great, fun, cheap night out with bar and dancing in the aisles under the stars thrown in. Highly recommended.

What a great place (if of a Saga age, memories from an age away!). Sit there and listen to piped music for free or pay to see and hear live music. The Jersey Boys was a sell out. On Wednesdays 1812 was great with fireworks to finish. Remember to take something warm though.

So we visted The Bandstand the weekend of Airbourne. My friend and I reserved seating to watch the Airshow and what a god send they were. We had an excellent view, right by the Loo's and most importantly by the bar!
We then revisited that evening and watched the 80's Tribute act, which was a little cheesy, but everyone got up and danced and I was surprised how busy it was, it was packed! Got a little chilly, so take a warm jacket!

went for holiday didnt know of the attraction that weekend,All along prom something going on with stalls selling food drink and steam punk gear. ,As one of many pensioners at sunny eastbourne it certainly shows us a different event than things of the past.NO signs of anything other than people enjoying them selfs .Well worth a visit to see the fun.

I have been to a couple of tribute concerts at the bandstand and must say what a lovely experience it was, really friendly, happy atmosphere. They also have live bands at other times of the year, namely New Year and again great atmosphere. Obviously a lot depends on weather but there is some undercover seating.

Great outdoor venue for all types of music. Evening performances can get a bit chilly, so take some warmer clothing to put on, you may not need it initially but you may well be pleased you took it later on. There is an area for dancing. Also hot and cold drinks are available. The seats are canvas 'Director's type ' reasonably comfortable. Toilets nearby, note that these are public toilets just outside the venue, and there may be a charge. The proms night finishes with fireworks (check which night ) Check out the events diary on Eastbourne bandstand website

The tribute bands are great fun and the Best place in Eastbourne to let your hair down. Great value for money. Bring your fish and chips, get a drink from the bar and enjoy.

We have been to the bandstand several times this year. Fortunately the weather has been kind to us. Last year we did get wet on one occasion. The secret is to check the forecast & get a seat early if the forecast is poor. The queue starts at 6.45 so be there early to get a seat undercover. The quality of the tribute bands has been excellent.
My only complaint relates to the lack of popular beers. Only lager & cider are available from draught. A choice of bitter beers would result in good sales.

Great tribute band great atmosphere.

Only spoilt a little by some unscrupulous couple who climbed over the rockery to the top layer of seats near the flag, just before 8pm. No security around at this time, but there needs to be. They looked pleased with themselves and sadly won't get named and shamed. I mean, where else can you have a great evening out for just why if ÂŁ7.00?..Shame in them I wish I had taken a photo to show security. I did speak to them about it but couldn't do so at the time of it happening.

I am a member now and go here regularly they have some duper tribute bands. Madness was just amazing too!

My sister had previously been to this venue to see Badness (tribute band) and had raved about it, I admit to being sceptical.
Gates opened at 7 for the show to start at 8. We were there at 7 to be met with an already growing queue. The security was a little intrusive, rummaging a bit too vigorously through my bag, a little power goes a long way in some people's heads!
There is upper, middle and lower tier seating. If you manage it, lower tier seating is best as you can get up and have a bit of a dance. The tribute band HRH and The great pretender were really very good. The lead singer had a great sense of humour, got everyone up singing and moving. A really enjoyable evening. Cost - ÂŁ8 per ticket. Win, Win!

I attended 3 concerts at the Bandstand - claiming to be the "busiest bandstand in England" - and that I don't doubt, looking at the variety of shows offered here over the summer. You can book tickets at the visitor centre, or at the seafront office alongside. The prices are very reasonable (about GBP7.50) but there's no allocated seating, it's first come best seats. There is an area undercover, but the rest are open-air. You can get drinks and tea/coffee/snacks during the interval.
My first concert was 1812 Overture which I believe is on most Wednesday nights during the summer and it was great with the fireworks soaring above the bandstand.
I then went to 2 concerts on the Thursday, an afternoon of traditional band music and the evening one of Big Band Sounds.
The band performing for that whole week was the Central Band of the Royal British Legion and they were excellent - the band leader was a show in himself, with his enthusiastic "moving and shaking" with the beat. And that not only because it was windy and the music sheets were hard to pin down. He was Capt David Cole, former Director of Music on HMY Britannia.
In all a wonderful evening of music under the stars, but wrap up if it's cold.

We have been to several tribute shows this summer , all have been absolutely amazing , such a good evening ...we have seen the beach boys, Eagles , Beatles and cilla, beegees and the supremes ...all have been so incredibly good , the sounds are superb, especially the supreme girls, 3 sisters with fantastic voices and a very professional look ...and very pretty ...this month we will be going to see the jersey boys and the grand finale , meatloaf and the rocky horror with fireworks...so far there have been no duff ones as far as we're concerned , the bandstand gives a good sound , you need to wrap up as it can get a bit chilly as the evening goes on , and you need to get there early as seats go quickly , you don't want to be behind a pillar as you won't see much . Every time we've been some wonderful people bring special needs adults to the show...they absolutely love it and dance all evening , it's so lovely to see ...all except for one sour faced old woman who told them to stop dancing at once ... Needless to say we were all disgusted and she left with her husband , how anyone can behave in such a way is beyond me, you will see these lovely people having a marvellous time singing and dancing and laughing all evening , superb . And it's so cheap, if it's not to your taste you haven't spent a fortune as you do with the theatre , it's well worth the risk , a very entertaining evening with tea coffee beer and wine all available too , fabulous , you'll be pleasantly surprised .

Went to the last of the season, lovely location although perhaps the bandstand needs some tlc, need to make sure you wrap up as can be cold. The bar is a little disappointing, no ale and of course expensive. The band was from little common royal British legion, they did their best but if I am honest they were not great. Fireworks were excellent and finished the evening nice. The bandstand is worth visiting and some other of the tribute acts are very very good.

Clearly a popular venue and easy to see why as it it is something that is essentially "seaside" and the acts they put on aren't bad either. The only down side is that there is no seating allocation and if you want a good one you probably need to be queuing an hour before the doors open. At least ther's a bar once you get in...

Well that's the first time I've ever had too queue to getting in . Great to see a vast array of ages all enjoying a live show.
The atmosphere was Electric with people singing and dancing on such a warm summers evening. Great valve for money. Free parking after six o'clock . Nice to go a little earlier plenty places to eat even get fish and chips and sit on the beach.. Only negative is the toilets which you have to pay 20p for (public )
Would highly recommend Eastbourne Band stand , great helpful staff , awesome venue looking out to see while watching the show.
A must for anyone visiting Eastbourne !!

Love going down to the bandstand during the summer. There are so many good music nights to choose from. If you go on a Wednesday you get some fireworks as well.
