The weekly tribute acts held throughout the summer area real summer treat. If you are looking for a memorable evening this is an experience not to be missed. And it's pretty cheap too! There's a different tribute each week covering all tastes but my advice would be that if you are only around one weekend then give it a go. Pack a coat or blanket in case the evening is chilly and dance the night away. I've been to 5 different shows this year (we always book when friends come to stay) and they have all been great.

We attended a tribute night here whilst staying in Eastbourne. It was a last minute decision and so pleased we went. The venue is super and the act was very good. Seating is unreserved but we got very good seats under cover ( rain was threatening but did not materialise. Booking tickets was simple we did it on line and collected them at the box office. Price was very reasonable for such a quality act. Seats were comfy - despite being canvas and drinks were reasonable. Had a brilliant eveing and would definitely retur. They have tribute bands every Friday and Saturday and a band on Sunday.

I've just played in a brass band in this lovely venue. Its really quite a special, quirky place. For £3 or so you get to relax in the sunshine and out of the wind and enjoy the venue.

How lucky Eastbourne is to have such a special bandstand (the only one like it in the UK) and for it to be in full use for concerts for all tastes. It was built in 1935 with a unique design set down off the promenade close to the beach. The very popular regular 1812 concerts are still going with their popular firework finale, and ours was with the Eastbourne silver band, some members of which are remembered as having lost their lives while continuing to play during the sinking of the Titanic, and there is a plaque on the wall to their memory. Just remember even after a warm day it can get very cold during the evening!!

I saw the weekday evening concert with 1812 overture and fireworks advertised on a Things to do page and waited to see what the weather was going to bring. Thankfully we had a lovely evening. The facilities are great and there are comfy chairs and a bar serving hot and cold drinks. The Silver Band were really good and played a mixture of old and more modern music finishing with the 1812 overture and firework display. For the money this is great value. We travelled from Hastings to Eastbourne and parked easily near the venue. Great night.

The Eastbourne bandstand has been a feature of Eastbourne seafront for many years. It plays weekends and most afternoons in the height of the summer.

Was there on a Saturday night for program performed by a band from the Household Cavalry - courtesy of The Royla British Legion. Sadly the weather earlier has put a lot of people off - space for 1600 and maybe 300 there ..................but they missed a treat.
What a varied program - brilliant conductor and then the finale ... 1812 overture with THE FIREWORKS.
Spectacular is not a big enough word to describe.
We had a lot of fun and were entertained royaly
Thank you to all who made it happen

A must during your vist to Eastbourne! Relax and enjoy the band during the afternoon, or dance away on a Friday evening to the great tribute performers... Stevie Wonder, Abba, Tom Jones ... even Rod stewart!...
After the tennis ... the sea, it contributes to the many facets of Eastbourne.

This was our first visit to this bandstand and we were very apprehensive on how the weather would be as this is an outside seated venue with limited sheltered seating. We were pleasantly surprised how the whole evening went. We had a wheelchair guest with us as well but this proved to be no problem, easy access, fixed seating removed to accommodate the wheelchair. We could have sat in the seating that was covered but choose to sit under the sky which was a good choice as the weather was kind to us. The security and bandstand staff were excellent, very helpful, attentive and extremely helpful. The entertainer Tom Tastic a Tom Jones tribute act was excellent and a good time was had by all, people singing, people dancing and enjoying the act. There was a small bar for drinks and snacks which was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning all we need to do is decide what evening.

As tributes go, it was OK, nothing spectacular, have seen other Queen Tributes, better than this. The finale was good as was the short but spectacular firework display, why do they have to have such a loud bang !!, the colours and patterned displays were good, seats comfortable quite a balmy evening out of the gentle breeze.

The bandstand is right by the sea, with a busy schedule of tribute bands, classical music recitals, brass bands and other acts throughout the year, with the occasional fireworks display. Well worth a visit if you're staying in Eastbourne, but getting a ticket might be difficult.

Walking along the promenade came across the band stand with the Eastbourne Brass Band playing so sat in one of the many seats to listen. There was no charge and as the sun was shinning it passed a very pleasant hour.

Picked up a Queen tribute band in concert here. What a night, great music in the open air, not too many people but good sounds and great to see the old place in modern and full (sold out) use. Well done local council., keep it up!

We always go and have a look at the bandstand when we're in Eastbourne. Usually quite busy as it does cater for functions but well kept and very clean. Always nice to go and see

We went to the first 1812 concert and fireworks display of the season and really enjoyed it. There was a good crowd and atmosphere. Drinks were efficiently and quickly served at the interval. Well worth a visit

In our opinion this is one of the top of many attractions Eastbourne has to offer. Starting in early May, Wednesday nights see the first of the 1812 Firework Concerts followed by the tribute artists on Fridays and then Traditional Afternoon music on Sundays. By June there is something to enjoy four days a week and by high season in August every day is music day. Something for everyone from Big Bands, Gilbert & Sullivan to Kids Disco and Party Nights. I understand that you can now even get marred there! Feel good music performed by highly professional people at very reasonable prices.
