Often events are scheduled here, and it's nice to visit/see, but could do with some renovations/improvements. Nice for walking along the seafront with a 3-mile uninterrupted promenade.

Music and entertainment on boxing day. Mulled wine etc, to buy, but for charity. At 12 noon a group of swimmers plunge into the sea. Brrrrrr

This is such a beautiful bandstand and (in my opinion ) is the second best landmark I have ever been to, the Taj Mahal being No1

Eastbourne bandstand has many things going on during the year. Brass bands, tribute bands and even the 1812 overture concert, christmas day boxing day and new year celebrations. This year they,ve had their first christmas market there. So lots going on.

A great bandstand, lots of good events throughout the year, and a good skating area when there is nothing else on!

The band stand is situated west of Eastbourne pier. Access by foot is easy. Wheelchair access is possible via the lower promenade using slopes at either end.An intimate venue for live music. Best attended in dry weather as most of the venue is open to the sky and the canvas seating can hold water, after rain. Weekly events are held throughout the summer.. My wife and I gave attended various 'gigs ' at this venue. If the weather is unsettled, try to be early in order to obtain a seat in the portico situated beneath the middle promenade. We have found it useful to take a seat pad for comfort.

On our visit to Eastbourne we visited the bandstand area on the sea front, they had little boutique shops and a radio roadshow, it was a little crowded but fun and Christmas's we enjoyed it, although there is not always an activity here and the walk along the sea front, we would recommend

Around the bandstand a Christmas market had been arranged, selling mainly local gifts/products. In the evenings school children sang carols.

Most of the shows are during the summer months but they are really good. Well worth a visit. They are also having their first Christmas Market there this year!

During our visit the bandstand was mainly obscured by stalls for a big Christmas market on the sea front during December, but other it looked great with some free concerts in the festive period

We probably picked a bad time to look at this, as it is surrounded by loads of wooden sheds, presumably getting ready for a Christmas market, which makes it look rather ridiculous and surreal at the moment. I'm sure it's a lot of fun in the summer assuming the put a band on it.

Seems to be a dumping ground for a seller of sheds that are littering the walkway around the top, maybe for events, but does nothing for the musical quality of the building

Went on the spur of the moment to see a Beatles tribute band, really good, seating a bit basic, we were upstairs so view limited, and we had a very grumpy person moaning throughout the evening right in front of us, but once the atmosphere warmed up everyone was up and dancing, really enjoyable evening, will go to lots more next summer now we've had a taste of what to expect, would highly recommend

What more can you say, a bandstand that holds a host of activities and concerts. A must to visit, but book as always very popular.

Very good value, with a huge choice of bands to choose from.

There is a bar and a area to get up and dance should you wish.

The bottom seating is the best as it allows you to sit under cover should it rain and easy access to the bar. The toilets are situated outside the band stand and up a flight of stairs so no so good for the walking impaired.

Overall an excellent open air venue.

Located on the beach front of Eastbourne.
A very grand structure with a lot of seating area. It is mainly open during summer months for people to enjoy the music and relax in the sunshine.

Probably the busiest Bandstand in the country, Eastbourne council arrange a full summer of tribute bands, silver and brass bands, and Xmas and Easter concerts as well; well done them!
