There was nothing on when we were there on an October Saturday, but it's an amazing piece of art deco and the location is perfect for events.

The main arena was closed so we were sadly unable to see the plaque inside dedicated to one of the musicians from Eastbourne who died on HMS Titanic, although there were photos of it on the door on both sides to see what it looks like and what it says. For those who remember the film Half A Sixpence (Tommy Steele), the shots from the beach were filmed here, including the song "I Don't Believe A Word of It"

It was a nice surprise to come across the bandstand while walking along the Parade on the way to the Pier. Very consistent with the architecture and overall feel of the city.

A pleasant evening or Sunday treat at the bandstand. Regular tribute shows of quite high standard. The venue is run and supervised by the council and they do a good job.
Tribute evenings are over in a couple of hours and are most enjoyable during that time

Visited the band stand out of season but I so wish I could have gone when there was an event on. It's a really amazing place. Full of atmosphere, even when empty. I could really imagine the amazing concerts that must be held there. Lots of photographs and information around the walls. The history of the place is superb.

Lovely spot to come and listen to bands throughout the summer, both on a Sunday afternoon and during some evenings.

This is a beautiful grandstand on the sea front. There are regular concerts held there from the likes of Toyah Wilcox to a performance of the 1812 overture with a fireworks display at the end.

A great concert. Lovely music and accomplished musicians. A very lovely evening. Great value for money too. Enjoyed the fireworks also.

An evening concert held in the bandstand rounded off with a firework display!! What a treat this was midweek and quite unexpected. The seating was sheltered and, although it was windy it didn't feel too cool and the firework display was the icing on the cake. Don't miss out if you get the opportunity.

On the first night we found the bandstand just stood on the promenade and listened, enjoyed that.
Decided if it was on again would pay and watch / listen
We checked the listing and went to the big band evening, thoroughly enjoyed the evening, made sure that we wrapped up as it does get cold, saw that when we looked the previous night.
Seats ok but could have done with a proper cushion.

Have visited Eastbourne frequently this year purely to see various acts during the summer season at the Bandstand. This is definitely well worth a visit if you are visiting,

I've been to Eastbourne many times but this last trip was the first time that I actually attended concerts at the Bandstand. We purchased our tickets online and they are not reserved seating, other than being on the main floor, or on one of the two balconies. The weather held for us, which was excellent considering this is an open-air facility (some sheltered areas). We bundled up warmly with lots of layers. The main floor seating is much more comfortable than the other two levels. Also, on the main floor, you're looking up at the stage so everyone has a good view. On the balconies, only the very front row gets a good view. For our second event, we were in the first balcony, second row but with very tall people in front of us so the evening was spent peering over shoulders. Also, the people behind us all moved forward to get a better view so it was quite crowded. The prices were reasonable. The first event was the 1812 concert with fireworks and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The second was a tribute to Queen which wasn't very good, we ended up leaving within the first hour. Tips for future concerts - make sure you get the ground floor, bring warm clothes and line up early to get a decent seat.

Through looking on trip advisor before our view to Eastbourne g knew about this. Had a great different night out watching the 1812 overture and firework display. Lovely experience, conductor very enthusiastic and the amateur band played very well. Brass section please note the public don't want to see you empty your instruments of salvia! Ugh!

Eastbourne Bandstand just past the pier on the sea front, On a Wednesday show was a brass band concert with fireworks to the 1812 overture on their last number.
A good 2 hours of music and singing . Bring a blanked for chilly nights.
Bar served hot/cold drinks .Minor gripe £ 1.75 for a paper cup of tea, a bit expensive.
Would def go again to watch other live shows.

My partner and I went down the beach for an evening and sat just outside the Bandstand. We got fish and chips (shared with the dog) and spent the evening listening to the 1812 concert finished by a firework display.

If you want to actually go inside and have access to the bar you have to pay, but otherwise it is a brilliant and romantic evening out for free!

Visited for a band concert.
The big-band sound offered in that instance delivered the sound, although Big was perhaps slightly misleading as seemingly only 8 musicians and 2 singers. However, it was a good evening and certainly enjoyable.
Take plenty to keep warm unless in mid-summer, as this bandstand has only limited covered seating and all otherwise open to the elements as well as sea winds.
Technically very good and likewise value for money. Take in own refreshments.
The best laugh of the evening was reserved for the couple who had obviously dressed to go to the summer season at Glyndebourne instead. Memorable

We queued from 6.30 for an 8 o'clock show and got perfect seats so that if it had rained we would have been in the dry. Pity the Johnny Cash tribute artist couldn't sing, so we walked out after giving him a chance with 4 songs which gave us earache.
Not the Bandstands fault but ruined Birthday.

Had a lovely time with the Beatles music. I am more than happy to come back next year. Bar is open and of you are for dancing bring your best dancing shoes. Great fun for everyone.

Paid to see the live orchestra and fireworks on weds night. Fireworks were amazing and well worth the nearly 2 hour wait. Orchestra were fairly average but entertaining.
