The bandstand has been painstakingly restored and is a diamond on the promenade. It has a wide range of concerts from the big band sound to northern soul and swing. It also hosts a wide range of performers and is worth planning time to visit.

The weather was on point, we had a very nice walk while enjoying an ice cream, seagulls flying all around us. I enjoy this place very much

My friends and I have been to Eastbourne band stand for years. There have been various bands playing when we've visited and we have never seen a bad one yet. There is always a great atmosphere and we usually join in singing and dancing.

We are regular visitors and also friends of the band stand, and as friends of the band stand we get a discount on food, drinks and tickets. They have great performances there and tonight happened to be a tribute group to the Supremes and what a great show. There are three areas to the band stand and some seating is under cover should it rain, but for others not under shelter be prepared with wet weather clothing and warm clothing for cold evenings. The staff are excellent and security is tight, and bag searches are done on entry. No alcohol or glass is allowed to be taken in and if found it will be disposed of. The band stand has something on most Sundays, Saturdays and Friday during the season.

Was here today and I've actually been here before. But today there was a brass band playing.

The weather was glorious, the band were absolutely wonderful so it was just a lovely experience!

We were treated to a treasure of songs from WW1 music to David Bowie and Bob Dylan. And we had ice cream cones while we listened!

We watched an 80s tribute band and everyone was up on their feet dancing as soon as the first hit was played! There were families with children dancing and elderly folk busting a few moves of their own. It was lovely to be outside but did get very, very cold towards the end of the evening if you stopped dancing! All in all, a lovely evening.

Well I never, the people of Eastbourne really do gather round the bandstand at lunchtime-ish on Christmas day AND boxing day. I'll attach a photo to prove it. Either way, it's a lovely tradition. There's a little serving hatch where you could buy mulled wine. It was at a reasonable price AND they took cards, unlike the dopey cafe at the other end of the beach. Would have got 5 stars if the sound quality had not been so appalling. While this didn't spoil that atmosphere, it DOES need upgrading since it was installed, probably in about 1943.

A gem of a place along eastbourbe seafront. Wherever it's simply enjoying the sun with a spot if lunch during the day or soaking up the atomsphere when it comes alive during one of the many shows. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff

Very high level from the artists who perform in. Jazz bands, fireworks, view on the sea and seagulls around. Put some jackets, it must be cold at night. But very entertaining.

There is something for everyone at the Bandstand. Whether it's dancing to a tribute act, or listening to a brass band, or a sing-a-long. The acts are always the best and popular, and reasonably priced.
