First time in Eastbourne so didn't know what to expect. Lovely. The promenade was great, so much going on. The band stand, the gardens, pier and of course the beach(Peebles). The big plus for me was all the shops are in the town, which left the front was left for hotels, restaurants and cafes. Pure bliss.

What a fabulous evening sitting around the bandstand with your gin and tonic listening to a wonderful brass band playing music from films such as James Bond, Mary Poppins, Lawrence of Arabia, Pirates of the Caribbean etc. They finished off with the 1812 Overture complete with fireworks. Well worth seeing.

We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. Plenty of great evenings spent toe tapping to the music and watching others dance away the night. They offer a huge variety of genres too.

This lovely building still provides stylish entertainment for most of the year. Each Wednesday they have the 1812 overture, starting at 8.00p.m. finishing with a firework display which synchronises with the gran finale_ brilliant.
There are of course many other shows on,well worth a visit.

my friend and i booked tickets to see a George Michael Tribute Band. The bandstand was ideal and was a very good show there is a small bar and under cover seating which unfortunately we had to use as that evening we had thunder and lightning and heavy rain but still a lovely atmosphere with people dancing under cover and also in the rain .The only downside was the toilets you had to go outside and up stairs to the pier tolilets

This was an evening concert for us to remember daytime concerts there many years ago with our parents. The semi-circular bandstand is charmingly decorated and we were lucky to sit in the covered area of the arena. There had been rain shortly before the performance, so that the seats outside were wet. The staff at the bandstand solved this by handing out black plastic sacks for the people to sit on. The band was very good and finished with the Tschaikovsky 1812 overture, accompanied at the end by a stirring show of fireworks. The bar serves either soft or alcoholic drinks, or hot tea and coffee.

We really enjoyed the big band concert on the bandstand on the Thursday evening of our stay in Eastbourne. The seats were comfy and there was a small bar too, so we could have a drink whilst we listened to the very good band.

Easy access, some chairs are near the band while others and under cover to sit and listen the the Rochester. There is a, good coffee and snack bar at the rear. Cost of tickets are fair and easy to buy.

We saw an ABBA tribute act in the evening, they were very entertaining and we enjoyed the fireworks too. Comfy seats and a small bar for drinks. Lots of seating but book in advance.

What a wonderful outdoor venue for concerts of all types. We went two nights running. first for a two-hour Silver Band show of classical and show music, concluding with the 1812 Overture and fireworks display. Wonderful selection of music played by a gifted band of amateurs, and led by an elderly conductor / trumpeter, who related amusing anecdotes between items.
Likes - good toilet facilities nearby, Reduced prices if tickets bought in advance. Reductions in price if your guest house / hotel is part of the Eastbourne Passport scheme. Some seating under cover, if rain occurs. Hot and cold drinks available during the show. Dislikes ? Can't think of any. :-)

A fantastic evening at the open air bandstand. For a tribute to Neil diamond. It was packed out. His voice was absolutely amazing. He sang for the entire show without a break. And his band was great too. Can't wait for for a repeat performance when he they are in Eastbourne again.

We were lucky to see a tribute band ( beach boys ) on Friday night, the place was full and it was so enjoyable, everyone was having so much fun, the following day we just sat around the same area looking out to sea with a drink, a very well used area 👍

Over the weekend the wife and I enjoyed two great tribute bands - The Beached Boys and the Neil Diamond Experience. A great way to spend a summer evening.

This is a well used and maintained Bandstand. The acts were fantastic. During the day you can use the amenities to get a drink and a nice sit down in the cool on a sunny day.

After a hot day sight seeing we booked tickets to attend the 1821 Firework Concert which is celebrated every Wednesday evening. Sussex Brass is a traditional band, the repertoire ranges from brass band music to jazz, swing, rock and pop, contemporary works composed by the director and others. On a cooler dry evening the concert started at 8.0pm and finished with fireworks just after 10.0pm, enjoyed by a very large audience. Licensed bar and refreshments are available

We visited the Bandstand and listened to a brass band, the 1812 concert.
Excellent summer's evening entertainment, super weather, comfortable seating, reasonable prices. Great sound.
Then at 2200, the fireworks started. Not earth shattering, but a quality display, finishing off a very enjoyable evening's entertainment.

We went to a Bon Jovi tribute night & had a great time. The band was very good & the acoustics were fine. Some of the seating is under cover but mostly it's open to the elements. There's a bar but service was a bit slow.
If you buy your tickets before 6pm the price is discounted so we had 2 hours entertainment for just over £15 for the 2 of us, great bargain.
They look to have several tribute acts on Fridays over the summer, also "real" people as well as more traditional bandstand music..

If the weather is kind then it's great to sit outside and watch some great artists.
We watched "Elvis" and it was packed with all ages. Well worth buying tickets early at reduced price.

We had Sussex Brass as the band and apart from the drummer who struggled with timing (being a drummer myself, it annoyed me) the whole concert was good. The staff were friendly the music good and the fireworks finished off a great evening.

One downside to the venue.... Coke was as expensive as beer

This evening concert was excellent and the band were very authentic.
There were plenty of seats and we had over two hours of really good entertainment by a very good artist who sounded just like the real thing. The atmosphere was lively with everyone having a lovely time dancing to all the songs they knew and loved.
The weather helped but there was some shelter if needed.
The seats were very reasonable and well worth it.

We had a very enjoyable evening at the Eastbourne Bandstand. Two Sussex brass bands joined together and gave a rousing final performance of the 1812 overture, with fireworks lighting the sky and exploding in the background. The bands played a variety of enjoyable music during the evening to suit most of the audience from young adults to the older visitors. Excellent value for money but do come prepared for a cool evening on the sea front in June.
