Reasonable drink prices. Atmosphere. Needs a little more TLC as the girders are still in place after 18 months. Also the decorative lights have gone out on one side

Some really good shows are spoilt by the lack of reserved seating (so you could be sat in the rain), and you have to leave the venue to use the public toilets on the promenade. There is a bar, but take plenty of cash if want a drink as prices are astronomical.

24th august none stop rain, staff made sure seats were dry and all people were under cover, Mark Summers and Red Alert, played on through rain to give a fantastic preformance.

We went to see Storm! Electric proms on the 25th aug in the bandstand. A beautiful and well kept place that has different music every night all through the summer months. There was plenty of seating and a bar for drinks. Good value and well worth a visit.

This a typical old fashioned bandstand that has managed to preserve the energy that such places had. There is a current full and diverse program, well thought out seating and always something on for everyone. Well worth paying for an evening of entertainment. If money is a problem take a sandwich, sit on the beach, listen and take in the old fashioned atmosphere.

Love this landmark. Shows performed throughout the year. Attended the 80's Tribute Show on 16th August 2013, what a night! Ample seating, a bar, room to dance, right on the promenade. Fireworks too.

This is a place that is very close to my hear as my late grandfather used to play with the East Peckham Silver band on the bandstand.
The seating is quite ample for the amount of visitors to the bandstand and there are public toilets nearby and also disabled toilets which have to be accessed by a radar key.
Every year Eastbourne hosts Airbourne which is an all day show and certain people such as The Red arrows, Wing walkers, Harrier Jets etc. all put on a fantastic show for the public. The bandstand is available for this event and tickets can be purchased through Eastbourne's website. It is a must to have allocated seating around the bandstand so if you want to go and browse the stalls or just stroll along the front. When you have seating on the bandstand not only can you be assured of having a seat all day in comfort but also a ring side view of the Aircraft and displays. We sat on the beach on a deck chair the first year and we were in agony at the end of the day, plus one person had to remain with the deckchairs so they were not taken by other people.

There can be nothing better on a sunny day than to sit in a deckchair and listen to a brass band concert. Especially if you visit Eastbourne on the one week they have a professional band and put on extra afternoon concerts. You can also enjoy evening concerts such as Last Night of the Proms. 1812 with fireworks display and a Big Band Night. However take a blanket in the evening, it can get really chilly.

We went when The Central Band of The Royal British Legion was on, and they were so good we went every afternoon and evening and not one tune repeated. Very reasonable prices

The bandstand is on the sea front. They have a variety of entertainment there. I went to see the 1812 night. This was a 2 hr concert with a finale of 1812 Overture and firework display. The conductor was very entertaining and the music was from movies,tv shows and classical. A very good evening.

Have been to a few Tribute Bands this year (and previous years) and they are great fun - rain or shine! Excellent performances, easy access, good facilities (a little expensive on the drinks but is an outside catering service) and friendly, helpful staff.

Wish we had known about this before as we would have booked up for the tribute show in advance, we arrived too late.

Wednesday evening concerts in summer which ends up with a fireworks show and weekend Tribute Concerts are just great. I have been coming to Eastbourne with my students attending summer English courses for 14 years now and the concerts are great attraction for them.

Combine with a walk along the prom or a drink in one of the on beach cafes. The Bandstand hosts numerous events to suit all audiences. Would recommend.

Something different all the time. Just saw the Amy Winehouse tribute, amazing. Was going to see Roy Orbison but sadly it rained hard, still lots more to come

A very warm Saturday evening, we watched the Buddy Holley tribute at the bandstand. It cost just £7.50 each and we had a really enjoyable couple of hours. The seats are taken very quickly so if you want a good seat - arrive early. Apart from that if you like to dance, that seems to be ok to!

Only walked through with no performance on at the time - but still great to see it! Poster images and old photos gave a sense of the great events that still happen here. May it always be a part of Eastbourne's gracious promanade.

Really fun evening. Just a shame that there are not more people attending and joining in. Band was really good though.
