We have been here many times but only had our first concert experience on Easter Sunday. It was a lovely way to spend some of the sunny afternoon.

What a lovely find. Well maintained and regularly used. A concert there would be lovely in the summer months

Have visited this venue plenty of times, from a 60's revival to an 1812 firework concert, always a pleasure to enjoy a grand old building that can still put on a good show, its a shame the weather is so unpredictable and if its raining you WILL get wet,,, but hey take a brolly and some waterproofs and you will still have an amazing evening, ticket prices are very reasonable, well done to all those who manage this venue.

The Bandstand is wonderful! It's old and charming and such history - look out for the plaque dedicated to the orchestra leader who perished on Titanic.
This place was rejuvenated a few years back and now hosts loads of great cheap events with tribute bands visiting in the summer.
There is a website with full listings, and even a membership scheme to enjoy discounts. A licensed bar operates during events, although many opt for re-admission, slipping across to the Chippy over the road for their hot grub.
Come on down, it's well worth a visit :)

This was pretty and nice to know there is so much history to it but would be nice to see more information about up and coming events.

Very popular live music venue all over the Festive period.
Ranging from Brass Band to Rock and Roll.
Hundreds of people, (and their dogs) enjoyed dancing and communing on the seafront despite the bright chilly weather

This was our first year living in Eastbourne and we have enjoyed many of the attractions during the year but all that was topped on Boxing Day when we went to the Bandstand.
It was a bright day and no rain and there were hundreds of people wearing silly hats and dancing to Ray Campbell band (I think) he had the audience in the palm of his hand.
We were there a tad late and around the bandstand was full but we watched the people from the promenade dancing with their families and children and the atmosphere was very happy.

At night the bandstand is well lit up in different colours and during the day time it sparkles in the sun. Sadly there was nothing on in November when I visited, would imagine it would be great to see a concert there.

A nice outdoors bandstand in old fashioned style.Didn't see anything going on but looks like it would be good and we think they may have some type of shelter that would enclose the area to make it more like an indoor bandstand.

Second visit. Takes warm coat and blanket but otherwise love this venue. Disappointed that they insist on wheelchair users acess from one side only as had to go right round to come back in. Needs thinking about

Where would any English seaside resort be without its bandstand? And Eastbourne's is lovely. During the holiday season there is a band on every afternoon and always finishes with the National Anthem. Stunning views across the Channel.A marvellous place to unwind and go back in time when Great Britain ruled the world!

Went to the last tribute show of the season after promising myself over and again to go there in the summer. Booked online and collected tickets from office (at the bandstand) on the evening. Tickets were for middle balcony as this was all that was available. The seats were not reserved as it was first come first serve for the best seats and the bandstand had opened at 7 pm (we didn't get there until 8). Quite a few of the remaining seats had restricted views of the stage area but as lots of people stood up to dance once the music started it wasn't really an issue just something to be aware of if arriving late ish. Really good fun for a couple of hours and the tribute musicians and singers were superb. Will definitely go again.

The building, which is currently undergoing restoration, is an iconic structure built in the mid 30's. Seating is on 3 levels and sets are bookble. The bandstsnd hosts a variety of events, music and tribute groups. The towns own Silver Band play several proms concerts and 1812 nights-complete with fireworks. If the weather is good then it is a nice way to enjoy the music. Uniquely, the Eastbourne Silver Band gives a free concert every Christmas morning on the bandstand which is a good way to start the seasons holiday

Very distracting watching concert with the bar open and people walking about. Also although no drinks can be brought in why are smelly take-a-ways permitted

I went to two concerts to this lovely bandstand. The last of the seasons evening concerts was to see The Tribute band ..... great fun, good sounds finishing with fireworks over the sea. Wow!
Went along to the last of the seasons afternoon concerts to see the Eastbourne Silver band. Quite different of course but equally enjoyable. Variety of pieces played and very well performed. Lovely.

We were there on the Saturday and expected to see something happening, but we were told it was the end of season. It is a wonderful viewing spectacle and can imaging concerts there being quite spectacular.

It was a great night out, lots of fun. We saw a Queen Tribute band. The atmosphere was lively. There is a bar inside the venue to get drinks. The venue is a perfect outside venue, just the right size we had a great view of the stage, and everyone got up and danced at the end. Would recommend getting there early to avoid queue and to get a decent seat. Hope to visit the venue again next summer.

Good outdoor venue, very good ticket price. went with my sister in law and my nephew. We would take warmer wear as it got quite cold into the evening but we got up and had a dance to warm up. Might be worth taking your own drink and snack to avoid the queue for refreshments. Good fun night would go again.
