Very friendly volunteers. Lots of reading but all very interesting and a nice RNLI shop. Worth a quick look if passing and always good to support the RNLI.

Called in on windy but fine afternoon . Greeted by smiling helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small but interesting exhibits. Purchased great sweatshirt

More of a shop than a museum selling the rather uninspired RNLI collection of goodies, and lots of left over Christmas cards in March. The two rather disinterested staff/volunteers didn't help. Would benefit from some reinvigorated and expanded museum displays.

Every summer I'll take a little stop at the lifeboat museum. Unfortunately it is very small and slightly dated, however, I believe it's definitely worth the trip there. More donations are always going to be helpful for those in need out at see and could help them expand to a slightly larger property or gain more exhibits. Warm, friendly staff, that are always smiling. Definitely be sure to sign the comments book!

Great to visit if strolling past.

Right next to the Wish Tower this is a lovely little fine. On the seafront with a nice shop and details about the famous and heroic RNLI. Very nice find and worth visiting and an opportunity to support local charity.

Very quaint, original life boat house that now houses a gift shop and tiny museum area. Handy for a 10 minute stop over but not worth a deliberate trip to.

Interesting displays of the work of the Lifeboats. Good to take youngsters and help them appreciate the work that these volunteers do. Hopefully give them food for thought as to not taking risks when enjoying water sports, be it fishing, surfing, boating, swimming.

I went to the shop with my friends and daughter and we were amazed with the display. It was a small shop but plenty of things to look at and buy. Prices are reasonable! So, I bought a souvenir and was very pleased with it. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit.

The modern lifeboat house is along the coast towards the Sovereign Harbour but the old boathouse was the first RNLI museum in the country. Whilst only small, it’s open 7 days per week except January & February, when it’s only open at weekends. ,

The main part of the building has been fitted out as the RNLI’s charity shop which has loads of goodies for souvenirs, presents and so on, and the museum exhibits are across at the rear section. Display space for the exhibits is very limited but it’s well worth taking lots of time to read all the information boards.

There are items about the history of the Eastbourne lifeboats since 1820 something, when the first boat was given by a local eccentric. One famous day, when the weather was exceptionally bad, horses dragged the boat 8 miles over the top of the Downs to Birling Gap so that it could be launched to aid a ship in distress.

Free to visit, but spend a lot in the shop – it’s such a good cause.

Just returned from the Afton Hotel Eastborne, I can recommend this hotel, great food, friendly & helpful staff, a manager you can see and speak to, which can be a novelty in some hotels.
The Afton is just across from the pier and close to the shopping centre. We will definitely be going back.

Offers an insight into the work of the RNLI and the well-stocked shop sells many related items, the money from which goes to help the work of the RNLI nationwide.

Popped in here, as we had a walk on the beach front, and were looking for something we knew the RNLI sold, which this shop had in stock ... so it was a win-win
