Good to see the pier is still open after a bad fire a few years ago, worth a look round, and maybe for a cup of tea, but I found the fish and chips of poor quality.

A enjoyable pier to walk around it's not too long and so it's not a long stroll but it is a good example of a typical English Victorian pier it has the usual things on it amusement arcade gift shops fish and chips shop and a pub but it also has a tea room which looking at prices seemed reasonable so a visit there will probably be happening next time we visit

The pier is fabulous what i dont like is the abundance of old people gawping at their youth remembering when the paint was fresh on the pier and everything cost a hapenny.

Eastbourne was great. Very clean and lots of good cafes and restaurants. Only problem is the retail shops are disappearing fast. A large store called Hughes has gone and others have closed. It would be awful if it became a ghost town.
