My parents used to live in the area and we often visited the pier with our children. There seemed to be less on there than there used to be. The pub on the pier is a bit of a mis match in furniture and we saw a lot of people walk in and immediately walk out again so it obviously isn't very inviting.

Walked out along pier on a dry day but with a cold wind & found not much going on seemed a bit desolate, may be better on a nice day. Did find the Chandeliers in a restaurant the most attractive thing.

Eastbourne pier has had some loving care & attention given to make it a pleasant place to visit, it's clean & tidy with plenty of places to sit, relax and take in the magnificent views of the sea, the promenade & the south downs. Souvenier shops, amusement arcade, ice creams, fish & chips..what more could you want from the "seaside"

We went for afternoon cream tea, in the Victorian Tea Room's. They staff were extremely pleasant, and very helpful. I thought the chandeliers were O T. Waste of table space, but, hey,we weren't eating them!.
The presentation of the cream tea was average, taste was good.
Pleased to see that there was some amusements, in various area's. Catering for old and young alike.
Weather was amazing.

Visited as a family and after parking we decided to walk up to the pier. Glad we did. It’s a lovely pier.

At the entrance there’s a fish and chip shop and an ice cream shop. Further down is a small arcade that my son enjoyed playing in. There’s a restaurant that does cream teas and further down, a jazz bar.

Definitely worth a visit.

Everything in the pier was closed... Everything! Was nice to relax without loafs of people around though. Not ideal for younger couples as we're a rare commodity it seems, but harmless enough place to while away some time.

I love this pier. There's just enough for the family, with a few shops, places to eat and arcades for the young and old.

We visited last evening. This Pier is quite gorgeous at dusk, sea water lapping beneath as you stroll and take in a beautiful view. Looking back to the Parade and a radiant sunset, you can hear the night life begin. The Pier is wide in the middle with loads of places to sit and rest and take in the ambience. There is a bar a souvenir shop and several arcade type shops. I personally thought the bursting trash bins at the entry and several places up and down the Pier, let the experience down. But otherwise a nice spot to stop look, breathe and dream.

We went for a walk before tea. The pier was a lovely for walking, but the shops etc need updating, this would help attract others.

Have a walk along the pier, feel the sea breeze, enjoy a glass of Prosecco from the bar and sit in the sunshine and people watch.

As you walk back the view of the Eastbourne shoreline is great, just enjoy the pier for what it is, a historic landmark, and it’s free.

Lovely traditional Victorian pier with a nice Jazz bar to enjoy the seaside evenings. Just a shame that arcade signage detracts from the architecture and view.

We walked along the pier and although it's only a short per with little to do it was a nice day so we sat on a bench enjoyed the views and fresh sea air, we had an ice-cream and felt very relaxed after.
There is a couple of shops which are pleasant enough.
Peaceful pleasant place nice for a stroll.

This is a great little pier, but there was not too much going on during the day. Not a place to make a special trip for but if you are nearby then good to visit.

A nice enough pier but not a lot on it really unless you want to eat and drink. A few souvenir shops and benches, not a lot else but it is free.

This is my second favorite pier. It’s quite clean and people are friendly. It’s fun when the waves are choppy.

The pier looks ornate, but contains little but small two pence arcades, shops selling tacky merchandise and a big pub at the end. It's free to walk into and fine views can be had from it.

Not much on the pier compared to Brighton, few arcade games, benches, one fish and chip place, souvenirs shop, a little bar and ice cream / donuts but other than that you couldn’t spend much time on there
