Excellent pier especially the really good views over the coast. Ideal for a very enjoyable walk on a sunny day.

Staff really helpful and friendly, the cream tea was excellent and the views cannot be beaten, definitely a place to try if you visit Eastbourne.

The pier is free to enter and basically quite full of gaming arcades, tourist shops and a bar at the end. On a nice warm summer day though, it's pleasant to walk out to see over the heavy iron framework and take a seat and enjoy the sun with a cold drink. Good views, clean and a good use of half an hour.

Walking to the end of the pier and looking back at all the hotels along the front, a good photo shot. The small stores on the pier are good with a selection of wares in them, in the centre is the one which probably someone would spend most time in, the restaurant!!, when the wind is blowing what a lovely place to relax with a hot chocolate and some cakes!!

Visited the pier a couple of times on a short visit to Eastbourne. Pleasant walk to the end although disappointedly the end part was closed.

Victorian style tearoom serves tasty cream tea with delicious scones and real Cornish cream .
Good sandwich selection, friendly service, scenic views across the bay.
Not a lot of entertainment on the pier, but great to just go people watching. Pleasant enough in the sunshine even on a windy day in springtime.

It's private owned with casino and gambling and night club. Other then that it's nicely maintained. But you can't walk the whole pier since the owners have put fences.

We took a walk down the pier at about 4pm. Was a little chilly and windy but we enjoyed the fresh sea air. Quite a few gambling arcades and a restaurant at the end but you couldn’t walk all the way to the end as it was closed off. Would be lovely in the summer when it is warmer.

There are some touristy shops and a tea room; the bar at the end is poor and wouldn’t recommend, there are some lovely views although the lamps on the pier need fixing. A nice walk with chips from the chip shop at the start of the pier is nice but I wouldn’t bother with the doughnut shop there they are not nice.

Went here as a “blast from the past” Well kept, no litter. Mostly original apart from a fire that happened a while ago. Large selection of rock (main reason for going here) a few arcade machines. Night club on the end. Not as big as Brighton pier but certainly better.

Very basic activities and arcades, we probably were there for 15 mins max. Wouldn't visit again, would rather go to Brighton.

Visited the pier today, weather was cold and windy but it didn’t spoil the pier for us. Lovely walk along the pier. Great views. Cannot wait to come back in the summer.

You can’t visit Eastbourne without a walk along the pier. It’s actually a very smart and tidy pier with it’s pretty white paint and golden dome. The tea room looked very nice and in keeping with the era although we didn’t go in as it looked quite busy. We were looking hor somewhere to have lunch and glanced in at the pub at the end of the pier but it was a bit gloomy looking in there with quite loud music playing. Just one man sat at the bar. Overall though a nice pier and worth a stroll along it. Plenty of seating too.

Nice short pier, lovely views. Tea room looked lovely didn't visit though. Shops good for souvenirs and sweets. Arcades need a lot of working on half machine are broken, one with wires exposed and change machines not working disappointing

A short pier but nice views. There is a tea room on the pier which looks nice although did not visit. A visit was made to the bar at the end, which not the most comfortable environment and service not great, apparently could not have a coffee as the machine had to warm up which told would take half an hour!

We had a short break before leaving in the Victorian Tea Rooms on the Pier before motoring home (love that phrase, motoring, brings back memories of the fifties, Morris Ten, Austin 7 and Charabancs!). Waitress service at the table in a typically decorated Victorian environment.
The work done on the pier since the recent fire is quite impressive.

I enjoy seeing these south coast piers and this is a good example of a well maintained pier. Not quite as nice as others nearby such as Hastings but still worth a visit. Loved watching the sunset from the pier, something we don’t get up north.

Not a lot has happened on the pier since we were last year, what you can say is the decking is new and in good condition. Seeing the pier dated back many years we would have thought it would have been rebuilt as the original. Surely it must have been insured so if it was what has happened to the money?

The end of the pier is a shambles with a Funfair which at one time would not have been allowed by the council. The bits of it that are painted gold do not do anything for it, to my mind spoils it.

There used to be a nice Theatre on the end which is now advertised as a night club, this was destroyed some years ago and rebuilt not as the original and does not look the same.

The sea end was blocked off which is a great pity.
