Old fashioned but good pier which is most importantly free to enter.

There is a chip and all the normal things you can buy such as rock and funny hats. There are amusements but they are on the dear side. The views of the sea are first class.

A lovely pier amongst the beautiful Eastbourne coast. What's not to like.
The recent fire damage did not spoil the access or overall experience

If you're in Eastbourne can't miss a walk on the pier.
Very traditional - no charge, very nice Victorian tea room
Sunny afternoon - there is a lovely seating area where you can just chill

What an awful rainy day! Having been soaked through it was absolutely gorgeous to have a cream tea at the Victorian cafe on the pier..

Lovely place to walk, well kept, with many benches to sit on both sides, few tables are placed in the central part for people to sit and eat, but I would avoid the fish and chips restaurant there...doesn’t look very clean and it’s far too expensive!

Went on 31st October 2017 in the Autumn sunshine. Nicely restored and a pleasant walk with good views.

There is a nice café, a few shops, a few amusements and a bar but it's really ideal for those who just want to stroll around it and look back at Eastbourne and out to the sea and Beachy Head.

Didn't use the facilities but enjoyed the walk and far reaching views. In process of restoration, some of this apparently controversial. We liked it. Why wouldn't you have a wander! Free too.

Strange how a quick walk around the pier can cheer you up..blast of fresh air, a bar cafe and gift shop, its all here in a quaint English tradition, give it a go!

Wonderful little pier to shop a little, eat, drink, and listen to Jazz. The bar at the point pours nice drinks and has a helpful staff.

The pier is lovely to look at but once on the pier you can't let your kids eat anything not purchased on the pier and let's face it donuts ice cream and fish and chips really aren't nutritional enough for the children. Slot machines places same as any other place you can find. The woman in the gift shop was rather rude and I witnessed her shouting at another customer over a tea towel. Best thing about the whole pier is the Zoltar Speaks machine!!!! (Circa 1988 from the movie BIG) would go back if more changes were made. But it is nice to waste 5 minutes on

Although we visited on a very blustery day, you could only be impressed by the pier, which has lots of seating for visitors to rest and look at the view, a number of restaurants and gift shops and places to shelter if the weather is inclement. Although we didn't stay long, we would certainly have done so on a nicer day, and we thought that Eastbourne should be proud of it's Pier and seafront. It's just a pity that you're not allowed to take dogs on the pier.

Nice open pier where you don't have to walk through the slot machine area. Shops, bars and restaurants available.

Enjoyed a pleasant stroll around the pier although it lacks a buzz. The Victorian cafe looks like it could be worth a visit...maybe next time.

Just like any other pier but in need of some TLC. Lovely for a walk especially on a sunny day! Looks nice from the outside! Good for pictures!

Well, it is doubtful our Pier would be useable and improved were it not for our local Sheik in his gold plated Mercedes Benz. He has done a good job. But there are some things that need pointing out :
It is not quite HIS PERSONAL LION PIER even if he does own it.
He should not try and stop old folks eating their own sandwiches on "his" Pier.
The Lamp Posts need bringing back to a decent state, close to the original design, instead of just tying LED floodlight to them and leaving the burnt plastic domes in situ.

Good cafe in the middle of the pier, a bar & jazz club @ the end. Also the Ocean Suite is good for a bit of a do. Worth a visit.

I visited Eastbourne with my mum, who is 75.
We had a fab time on the beach, I smiled watching my mum enjoying jumping the waves!
I'll treasure those memories 💕

I visit Victorian Tea Rooms quite regularly, every few weeks. I love the views from there and also the traditional feel of the place, reminiscent of the era long gone, but not forgotten. The staff are nice and place is always busy with tourists and locals -like me :)
Their selection is traditional English and I enjoy tuna and cucumber sandwiches and Victoria sponge with tea.

A nice traditional pier with the usual facilities. Nice views from the tea house, which would really benefit from a vintage style makeover, but still makes a decent place to stop for a cuppa.
